The swipe up gesture bug, went away for me 😀 sadly IDK what I did for it to go away. Try removing gestures and restarting the phone and put gesture back?
Question if anyone knows: is there a way to change the notification size on oxygen OS? If you compare the notification size to the Samsung fold each notification on the OnePlus is so large!! I really like the more compact view
They have restructured the settings. There used to be a category "More settings" but the settings from it were place in different categories and this one was removed.
4:00 idk if u will see this but I really like this folder in folder feature. You can see the other apps in the little folder and it's very accessible without having to tap into the big folder by just swiping across it

2:52 There's a noticeable increase speed with the apps response time, after you have adjusted the animation settings. 4:07 Adding scalability to the apps folder is very essential because it provide additional space to add more of your favorite apps into one folder. 5:12 we deserve to have more granular control over the degree of blurness with the blur control feature.
The 'background' is blurred, instead of see through now. Animations were made slower yup. Changes have to do with accessability where u can decrease animation time but it isnt as fast as it was before i dont think. Other changes in Battery management, renamed apps, updated logos. If you used a third party file manager or something that shows u all your applications with the shortcut logos & full name with file $PATH , then you'd be in a better position to see it. Check your boot time. Mine became significantly longer. Due to something called Android ext services.. Something google forced on the phone for ads and constant telemetry. Let us know when u realize the honey moon phase is over .

Cloned apps have a new icon tag I have up to 2-3 pages in some folders for related items so the next page icon is kinda helpful over remembering what's in the folder.
I faced this bug when opening the task manager, but it only lasted a few minutes after the update and then disappeared. Another ongoing issue that bothers me is in the quick settings panel: the second horizontal tile comes beyond the grid from the far left at the beginning of the animation. Also, there's a bug in the recent apps on the taskbar where the icons don't always change according to the theme when using tinted icons. However, they finally made the app drawer and recent files buttons compatible with tinted icons.
You missed repair mode, that's actually good new option. Moreover, One big thing that one plus hasn't address is notification badges when it comes to "numbers" of the notifications.
Hey Shane great content, This week I returned the new Google Pixel 9 pro fold I was not getting a 5g connection only LTE, spent alot of time with google CS and AT&T and evidently the fold iemi # has an issue with the carrier being new and not being sold by AT&T (Whitelist issue). Ordered the 1plus open and getting it next week, you or anyone run into a carrier compatibility issue? Thanks
It's my only phone. Never disappoints as my daily. Battery life is fantastic (easily 1.5 to 2 days on heavy use). The camera is above and beyond other foldables. For quick pictures it's always responsive and rarely any blur. It also has pretty good zoom functionality. And with Snapdragon gen 2 and 16gb of ram, it has never ever been slow for me.
I hate my OnePlus Open!😮 It sucks!😢 Load times, Crap! Scrolling on anything, Crap! Operating systems, Crap! I seriously wish I would have waited on the slightly better Z-Fold 6. I had the Z-Fold 3 prior to the OnePlus. Even though it was a little old and dated, but like new, I'd take it back over this phone any day. And I could have gotten the Z-Fold 6 for $600 less. 😢

Whats up with the music function on the top banner screen? How do i enable that?

They also fixed the separate volume issue where if you go out and back in the app, you need to adjust the volume again.
Update: When you reboot your phone, all the volume settings go back to the main default.
You can actually swipe within the folder, you're not limited to 9 apps any more, thanks for keeping us up to date ❤

A new thing i noticed the icon picker is more functional. Before ot was unuseable for me.
Floating keyboard on front display ? Is that one of them. It just did that for me

If you have more than 9 apps, scroll to the left. It will go to the second page. No need to open the folder
