Human right are called like that for a reason
They're also valid when they also don't follow the geneva convention.
@@williamgeorge3111
You mean "invalid if you not follow the geneva suggestion" ?
@@orctrihar What?
@@williamgeorge3111
I mean, you wanted to say "The human right are nothing to consider if you will not follow the geneva convention to begin with"
Well, I have officially seen every alien interrogation in XCOM. As I begin the final battle, I look back on my experiences of my first game and prepare the A-Team for the final countdown.
The Thin Man is just so pissed off
The Thinman is the interrogator for the aliens, so he would know how to handle interrogations XD
Thin Man: you are going to die slowly when i get out of here...
Ethereal: ha. you really think this human technology is really going to do anyt-- HELLFIRE, THIS ACTUALLY HURTS!!!
Sectoid: yeah, this si not that bad, i can just shoot you with head lasers!!!
Muton: you are gonna pay when i break this glass-- wait! no! MUST BREAK THE GLASS BEFORE THE METAL COMES!!!
Floater: i am gonna asphyxiate (suffocate) myslef before you get ANYTHING outa me!!!
I wonder if you could make a mod for X-com that adds dialouge like that whenever you try to interrogate an alien?
From 1:06 onwards, I imagine Cleveland's voice in the Ethereals head with the "No no no no no no NOOO!"

“We’ll see about that.” - Gman
Look up learned helplessness.
That's probably what the Thin Man is displaying: being incredibly heavily genetically modified snakes, they're so used to pain being a constant in their life that a little more doesn't phase them. They've given up on trying to avoid it.
Sectoid: GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!
Thin Man: Whatever, It's not Like I give a shit.
Heavy Floater: NO! NO! GET ME OUT OF HERE! GET ME OUTTT! S-SOMEBODY! PLEASE!
Muton Elite: When I get out of here, I swear to god, I'm going to KILL YOU ALL!
Ethereal: ...Alright, How's this gonna work? *Sees the Science-Thingies* "OH JESUS CHRIST NO! NONONONONONONONO! GET AWAY! GET AWAY!
Poor bastard

"We'll see about that."
I like how the Ethereal just glances over to the machine like 'Welp, I'm fucked.'
Nobody has mentioned how Dr. Shen managed to design some kind of glass screen thing that's capable of stopping the psionic power from the Sectiod commanders and Ethereals. The scientists didn't even flinch when they tried using it. Surprised that material isn't an armor upgrade or psionic shield or something. It even withstands muton attacks.
look closely at the ethereal's hands. Just before the metal cover closes, his power fades.
Thinman: "If they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed."
The alien in the suit honestly gave me goosebumps, like he knew something big or whatever
Muton: FUCK THIS SHIT!
If you read the description of the research after the thin man's interrogation they didn't really torture him. He was able to speak several human languages and willingly gave x-com information. I guess didn't see the point in trying to resist.
My mom trying to figure out who clogged the toilet
i really like that thin man isnt as aggressive when locked up
I still have the game, me and my brother was doing a kinda co-op game basically switching the controller back and forth during one of our games we got a ginger sniper named grace she was the best sniper we had, she was accurate as well but sadly she died and was replaced by a Polish sniper he was kinda good but my favorite character.
Cool story, bro.
People are making jokes about the Ethereal being a bitch, but I remember being legitimately startled for a moment when it started pulling it's psionic bullshit. I lost 2 units the first time I ran into one of those bastards, with their bullshit projectile reflects and mind control, and I was genuinely worried the fucker was about to get out of confinement and there'd be some mission where I have to deal with it.
You wouldn't know it by looking at her, but that woman is an aliens worst nightmare.
They invaded us, captured humans and experiment on them .... Now humanity is returning the favour... Humanity FUCK YEAH !!
A chilling realization: Vahlen was a complete monster.
She just happened to be on our side.
when you are facing the extinction of your whole race, there isnt much space for "being nice" to aliens that do WORSE to your civilians ... she did what needed to be done for a very valid reason while invaders were dissecting people basically just for lolz ... and then fed the remains to theyr troops ...
@@Asghaad she then goes on to create the alien rulers in Xcom 2, the most frustratingly powerful enemies in the entire franchise.
Floaters = Stroggs
that's what i thought
well.. here I am, nine whole years later-
nearly a decade later ehe
The thin man walks among us
ThinMan1337 was the impostor.
You are quite the wise ass for a time traveler
Thin men can talk, in human languages nonetheless.
Thin Man: You cannot win... kill me, and two more shall take my place!
0:25 "Well, I got a sick suit out of this while you're in a lab coat, so who's the real winner here?"
One of the most metal parts of the interrogation sequence is how you receive the alien’s corpse after it’s done
Despite their fragility, they're actually my favorite aliens just for their interrogation cutscene XD. Way to die with dignity, eh?
I know we all thought the same thing when we saw thin man, slenderman has a chill cousin.
The ever loyal citizens doing the emperor's work.
Ethereal: Huh.. neat glass container.. oh.. what are these air po-- JESUS CHRIST MY EARS
Thinman: You thought you could torture me? Bitch i love that baby baby baby shit.
Cant etheral just teleport out of there?
My top three
#1: Thin Man (0:19)
#2: Ethereal (0:56)
#3: Sectoid/Sectoid Commander (0:06)
Damn, that thin man was badass, he didnt bother to attack the arm thingo
I got the impression from the Ethereal that it was more used to being on the other side of the equation than subjected to the indignity interrogation.
Okay people, it's 2020 now and can we all just agree that we need not interrogate the filthy Xenos?
Just the roar of humanity's Bolter rounds or the sweet symphony of a whirring Chainsword will tell you all you need to know.
Ha! THat's what you get for messing up with the humans!
I like how at first the Ethereal is calm and when those probing things come out he goes like ''You told me this would be a peacful negotiation!''
ethereal: NOOO you arent supposed to be able to hurt me!!! im supposed to be powerfull!!
XCOM: haha wave machine go brrrr
Coming from a guy who played xcom 2 the way she was presented and the way she spoke I was expecting to see a doctor Halsey not eh Sonya blade without the ponytail
Ahh yes, “Interrogation” by which they mean, “ask no questions, turn on the torture chamber, make sure it closes, then leave for several days”
I mean, nobody on earth speaks the alien language yet. The only way to get info from them is to extract it from their brains.
@@williamgeorge3111 that still doesn’t explain the electric torture chamber. If that was the case, they would just bring in dead specimens. They aren’t extracting it from their brains either, they are learning their biology, dissecting them, they aren’t learning anything other than what kind of guts are in them.
@@lordwoods3111 How exactly do you get knowledge on what an different alien looks like, or how to build a plasma gun, from a corpse? Alien autopsy is a completely different thing that lets you build things that make sense for it, such as chitin armor plating from a giant bug. Did you even play the game?
@@williamgeorge3111 I did play the game, but that’s not the point of interrogation. They aren’t “interrogating” them, if they were, they would be learning things like troop movements, supply routes etc etc.
@@lordwoods3111 How do you intercept an ALIEN supply route? and do you really think some basic Sectoid clone or Muton is gonna have knowledge on where every other dropship is landing? the only thing that could feasibly have that knowledge are Muton elites and Ethereals, by which point you should have at least 1 satellite over every continent, eliminating the need for knowledge of troop deployment locations. Besides, this is extremely new technology, Vahlen and her team can only read basic things, like the vague image of a Sectoid commander. Of course they can figure out the route of UFOs from that.
they underestmated humans...a grave error they will not live to regret.
Was so satisfying when I caught my first Ethereal on my first Overseer shoot down on my first full play through. The three before it ended in tragedy each time... lol.
I somehow managed to pull it off on my first playthrough PERIOD. Talk about dumb luck.
Aliens: What is thisssssss? What are you doing to meeeeeee?
Humans: It's Dubstep.
bruh, this is not 2010 anymore
@@michaelhawke7689 It only makes dubstep hurt more.
До сих пор считаю, что самый спокойный из них- это Лепс.
I wonder why you can't interrogate a cryssalid?
because you cant capture them
+Austin Renck Also they seem more animal to me so i do not think they have anything worth interrogateing them for.
+Austin Renck Let me ask you this, can you interrogate an attack dog?
+L. Court True.
+Austin Renck They're bugs it's like an organic machine no actual mind just instinct
thinman be like: "-shit they will discover i`m a sexy snek"
the thin man being the only unit that's cool under pressure makes sense. as an infiltration unit, he's probably been trained to resist interrogation. i do like how his report kind of implies that he was cooperative, though.
