2024 Mazda CX-5 2.2D High in Malaysia - Yep, still got it

The CX-5 was the first Mazda of a new wave of truly 'next-gen' Mazdas after their split with Ford. KODO, Jinba-Ittai, SkyActiv, they were all cemented after this turning point. A generation later, this 'new' CX-5 is no longer looking as fresh. In fact, it's 7 years old, is that a little long in the tooth? Or is hitting its stride?
Either way, Mazda is already lining up a whole family of 'next-next-gen' SUVs: the CX-50, CX-60, CX-70, CX-80, CX-90 - they're all real and spreading further and wider. Importantly, they're not here (in Malaysia) yet. And in the meantime, Honda has only recently debuted their newest version of the ever-venerable CR-V.
To put it bluntly, the CX-5 doesn't seem to have the odds in its favour. The walls are closing with both foreign and internal threats. But one thing remains true: it's still a damn good SUV.
It might be just a facelift, but incremental improvements only prove how much Mazda got right in the first place, and this turbodiesel variant is very gutsy, well made, and well-equipped enough to show any pretender how its done. It might not be a proper newcomer, but the CX-5 can still hit pretty hard.

As Mazda owner, I'm totally agree with you... If you love to drive, just buy Mazda .
but, If you want extra bootspace, choose CRV..

If you notice, hondas these days look like the mazda. Heck even toyota. Who’s next?

Mazda CX 5 2.2 diesel engine is super reliable and durable.
And most importantly gasoline engine I mean octane petrol engine car runs 200k to 300k km and then need seriously overhaul or need a new car
But diesel engines can run easily 1 million to 1.5 million miles without any big issues and don't need any engine overhaul 👉💯
So you can easily understand why buses, trucks and train engines are always diesel 👉
Diesel engines are always the best for lifetime use 👉💯
