      Yes it is. It can damage your camera electronics and even a small dose of gamma radiation can damage DNA.

      @@bttnat439 I know radioactivity is all around us. In the end it’s a personal choice. I actually love all my thorium doped lenses.

      @@MinhajMalik me too, I own 4 Takumar lenses. Only one is not radioactive is the 8 element 50mm f1.4

    I can assure you the Takumar is (much) more than 30yo.
