Great review guys. I have the Saucony Xodus ultra, and they are excellent. I've been running gnarly trails in Spain, and the shoes are springy and responsive. Very nippy when running long distances with a full pack. Like the Edge, the Xodus has a roomy and long toebox, but I was glad of it after many hours out in the mountain heat, so I think the dimensions work true to size for the long haul. I'm hoping the Edge will bring all of that and more
I opted for a 1/2 size down and they felt great. A little toe rubbing, but nothing to bad once they got broken in. I can tell you that the plate is extremely beneficial for the hills. I thought plates would make hills harder like road running shoes do.
Can you compare this with Saucony Xodus Ultra? Xodus Ultra also has PWRUN PB core (w/ PWRUN frame) but no plate. I am not sure if Carbon Plate is really adding value especially if the terrain is technical so you cannot run at a regular pace.
I want a Vapourfly with lugs on for hard non technical terrain Sometimes you get races where it’s hard to decide between a trail shoe or a road racing shoe and normally I go for race shoe But it would be nice to have best of both worlds was hoping the edge was going to be a that shoe.
so if this isn't the speed 3 but trail - which i guess it is marketed as really and aiming to be - what trail shoe out there is? From what i read/ watched ppl saying this one is amazing and like the speed 3, very light and fast but seems you lot think 'meh'? Is the hoka speedgoat 5 the best trail out there maybe from what i read? When i say trail i mean an all rounder equivelant like the speed 3 (does easy, tempo and long stuff) but for trails!
Arc'teryx Norvan LD3 has been a great all rounder. Salomon Pulsar pretty versatile too, maybe a bit thin on protection and restrictive for the long stuff. Pulsar Trail Pro might be on paper close to the Speed 3 with a TPU plate and a superfoam, if you can get used to the weird upper.
Enjoy your videos guys and respect your opinions. Would you be able to do a video on 'Stable Neutral' shoes at all please? I'm really struggling to decide between Saucony Ride 15, Brooks Glycerin 20 (GTS maybe?) or Asics Gel-Nimbus 24. I want a versatile trainer that can do my tempo runs and slower, long runs that will help with my shin splints that I tend to get. Any other suggestions would be great too? I primarily play football but enjoy my running too.
Hi Kalvin. We're awaiting some further information from Saucony as there was an issue with the test samples. Hopefully we'll have an updated video up soon.
My honest review: Sole is too soft I twisted my ankle 3 times on one run, unless you use those on non technical trails, otherwise that’s not a good shoe at all. As you can see I have 8 Saucony I think those are quite bad.. sorry but am not happy at all to buy at a premium price and not getting value for money Reply from Saucony Canada: Our team has carefully read your review, and although it did not meet all of our website guidelines, we appreciate the thought and time that went into it.
Great review! Would love to see one on the Brooks Caldera 6.

i love the Exodus Ultra!
I’ve been loving the Tecton X (another Parkrun PB in them at the weekend, go me!), maybe good for a versus with the Endorphin Edge.

Glad I went for the Tecton X. What a damn good shoe that is!

I think there’s some things in the pipeline from Nike along these lines
Nike Ultrafly
Salomon Pulsar is the best trail racer IMO
You can definitely see the plate snap back or pop on toe-off from the footage.
Which is better the Tecton X or the Edge??

Did you guys accidentally post the Triumph 20 video too early? Seems to be taken down now
