- Hey everyone! Today, I am reviewing SkyUp Airlines. SkyUp is a pretty new Ukrainian airline that just started in 2018. They currently operate 11 aircraft to a variety of short to medium haul destinations around the world. I was able to hop onboard a domestic flight this summer to Zaporizhia from my home in Kyiv. Всем привет! Сегодня я буду пересматривать авиалинии SkyUp. SkyUp является новой Украинской авиакомпанией которая была основана в 2018 году. В настоящее время SkyUp обслуживают 11 самолетов, выполняющих рейсы на короткие и средние расстояния по всему миру. Я сумел пролететь на борту внутреннего рейса этим летом в Запорожье и обратно домой в Киев. Думаю вам понравится это видео моего путешествия авиалиниями SkyUp. i took skyup from the netherlands to bulgaria once. it was pretty good
I was on a skyup fliight from Billund to Bucharest last week and found the flight pleasant . The stewardesses were seriously friendly. Wish my next skyup flight takes me from Billund to Kyiv.
It's really sad that they cannot even operate in their home country now. I hope the same! Thanks for watching.

Thank you very much! I may be wrong, but I think the majority of airlines are not spacing seating (at least, anymore). I know some US airlines are, but in Ukraine the airlines are not forced.
Nearly all European airlines abandoned that rules since it is not too affective anyway

Josiah, it was Pepsi, Coke is a swear word in former Soviet countries haha! First flight report I have seen for SkyUp as the are new. Typical low cost seat, ok for 1 - 4 hours, think the
legroom is 28 inches? so tight. Did you know they use this aircraft Kyiv - Zanzibar in Tanzania, 10 hours down, 10.5 coming home. In your seat 30 mins before departure, 10 hour flight,
then another 20 mins to get off the aircraft, that`s almost 11 hours in your seat, ouch! same as flying AMS - LAX, but on a 737. They are a bit naughty as they sell it as direct, but do a fuel
stop in Luxor both ways and you cant get out of your seat. Return ticket is about 850USD, not cheap. Was in Ukraine, last year, its beautiful. Nice video Josiah, I will watch more, thanks for this.
I noticed that mistake a few days after the video was made and was waiting until someone would notice, you are the first to speak out! I was interested in trying that flight since Tanzania entry rules are super easy, but that price was insane. It would definitely be a rough ride. I'm glad you liked the video!

Never with them! We flew to Antalya on a charter flight, but I have never flown on a worse plane. If you land it's all happiness!
Good job! i have a couple of questions. Is the legroom average? below average? maybe a little more description than “ok” 🤣 also what precautions were in place due to covid-19? did they require masks and gloves? or nothing at all? hope to see you soon.
Great questions! Typically if I can find legroom information (measurements) I share it, but with SkyUp I couldn't find anything. I'd say it's fine, not good, not terrible, probably survivable for most average height adults. Covid stuff was the usual- masks, social distancing (when possible), emptier bus loads, and temperature checks. Gloves weren't required. Thanks for commenting and watching!

Interesting video. SkyUp seems to be a great low cost airline compared to other competitors. About the seat, I believe they have retrofitted the seat with the slim ones since the seats on Malaysia Airlines are very comfortable and it even got IFE system.
Sadly they have. I kinda wish they kept the old Malaysia ones, haha!

@@aashutoshsharma1709 It depends on what fare you purchase. The Basic is the cheapest, but you only get one carry-on bag. The Standard and Flex fares are a bit more expensive, but you get a carry-on and a checked bag. You can preorder an extra bag for any of the fares on the website, or at the airport. Hope this helped!

After this review I'm worried as I'm flying on an 11 hour flight with them from Kyiv to zanzibar in a couple months
Yeah that won't be the most comfortable flight, for sure. Definitely get exit seats if you're willing to pay the extra money- it should be around $20 per person.
Really good review mate! Actually thats one of those cabins which look greater than they are. I had this seats on either LOT or Blue Air on the 737-800 it was super uncomfortable. Still I am impressed by the service though.. Free drinks are great. The snack was poor again though.. 7€ is way too much considering what I've got on UIA fir pre-order. I hope I'll be back in Ukraine soon.. Still some boxes to tick left for me
Definitely- looks so sleek and modern, but pretty bad when it comes to comfort! Food was crazy expensive, but it was nice to try to see what it's like. Thank you so much for watching!

On the cheapest fare you get one cabin bag. Anything else you have to pay extra.
is this airline safe??
In my opinion, yes. They fly very modern planes within Ukraine and around the world, including the EU, Turkey, and the UAE. I have no fear flying them compared to other reputable airlines.

Worst airline, worst experience ever , plus the price we paid is not for low cost airline it costs more than respectful good airlines the plane is so small haven't seen smaller than this , no fresh air circulation, flight attendees really rude , I don't recommend it specially from DMM
