- Hey everyone! After a break last month, I'm back with another review. In January of 2022 I flew onboard LOT Polish Airlines in Premium Economy for the first time from Poland to the United States! LOT has cheap ticket fares and has been quickly expanding in the last few years, but do they stand up to their European competitors? I'll answer this question in addition to of course showing you the full Premium Economy experience you'll get if you fly LOT Polish Airlines!

I am also from Ukraine and on my way back to JFK my British flight was mistakenly refunded by the bank so I had to purchase a LOT ticket. Was very pleased with the experience in a brand new plane and the service was 5 stars compared to how it felt like when I was a kid. My whole life I never knew the translation to English is "currants".
LOT is definitely a hidden gem! Maybe I just live under a rock, but I don't think I've ever even seen currant juice outside of eastern Europe 😂

Thank you! I've been searching high and low for a premium economy seat that would have a Leg rest (and not just a foot rest). Do you happen to know any other airlines that'd also offer leg rest for long haul trips like this? Much appreciated!

@@JourneyingwithJosiah thanks! After countless hours of googling I decided to go with KLM new Premium Comfort class (all seats have leg rest). For my route it came out to about the same price as LOT but the trip is shorter & their brand new class looks super nice.

I think it depends on how much you're willing to pay but it is definitely an upgrade.
Much better Eco Premium product than on Lufthansa. Seats looks really comfy. Will choose LOT next time.

Thanks! It was good. There is nothing to be nervous about, just make sure you go to your gate on time so that you do not miss the flight. The rest is most uneventful.
Flying to Seoul next month with LOT; would you recommend it the upgrade cost to Premium for a 11 hour flight?
I think it depends on what you’re looking for. If you just want extra legroom get exit row seats, but if you’re looking for a nicer experience overall I’d go for it. I found it much easier to sleep than economy, which was most important for me.
@@JourneyingwithJosiah it’s a 6 day visit to seoul, tourism and we have a good hotel booked.

@@brownbear1657 I’m actually fully American, was born here. My family was living in Ukraine as foreigners for 4 years… but I definitely think of it as a home because I’ve gotten so used to the people and culture.

I think lot have opportunities to be great Arline but unfortunately they concentrate on central and Eastern European travelers ! I like lot on short distances but for long distance definitely prefer Emirates or Qatar
Yeah, I can definitely understand that choice. I really want to try them in economy for long distance just to see how they compare to other European airlines.
To order snacks and drinks on demand you had the option on the screen?
Unfortunately no- I had to ask a flight attendant.
Do the last row seats in premium economy also recline?
Hope my reply isn't too late- yes they do, but I'm not sure whether or not it was less than the first two rows.
I flew back from WAW to EWR on Premium and I will say I will never fly economy again. The $200 ish extra is well worth it.

Leciałam premium economy LOT w tym roku z Toronto do Warszawy i z Warszawy do Toronto.Do Polski lot był bardzo przyjemny, jedzenie dobre i obsługa bardzo profesjonalna.Z powrotem było trochę gorzej,samolot był pełny pasażerów, którzy właśnie w klasie premium zachowywali się nieuprzejmie w stosunku do obsługi.

I visited Ukraine in 2019 and 2021. Sadly I can not visit Ukraine again anytime soon. I don't want to get into politics but I hope the war will ended soon. Since I will not be able to visit Ukraine this year, I will be visiting Riga and maybe Tallinn in 20 days via Polish airline with a stop in Warsaw. When I booked my flight directly through Polish airline website, I was given the option to buy meal(s) or not. This is very unusual.

Correct me if I’m wrong but your flying in a plane. Are you expecting a luxurious restaurant on board?
I'm also giving thousands of dollars to this airline when I could give less to use another. My video attempts to provide you with information on whether or not this airline deserves your money over another airline. And, in my opinion, LOT has excellent price value!
Did they weigh your carry on?
Hope my reply is not too late, but they did not weigh mine on this trip. That doesn't mean that they never will, though. Pack overweight at your own risk is the best I can say.

Well done review and these days you will have Polish and majority Ukrainian Passengers because LOT offers discounts to Ukrainian refugees from WAW and RZE to EWR/JFK and ORD. The latter one is gateway to Ukraine RZE which is how US government officials get to Kyiv
