  • My first time ever in premium economy, and a very good experience - good value for money, in my view. I was told premium economy was not worth it, being (with most airlines, I understand), just a shade above economy, but with LOT on this flight, it was closer to business. I got the business check-in (no bag drop at YYZ, so you have to queue to check in your baggage, whether you have checked in online or on the machine in advance or not) with is much shorter wait, the fast track at security (not that I needed it, as security happened to be empty), and the entire LOT business treatment on board, minus the flat bed (a concern if you need to have your wits about following landing but, like me, are unable to sleep while seated; LOT business class is a bed, but by no means a fantastic one by today's long haul standards), and minus the goody pouch (which, with LOT, once again is not much to write home about anyway).
I did not get lounge access, but that really is not a regret, with the quality of the Star Alliance/Air Canada lounge at the E Gates at T1.
    00:00-00:30 A very lonely gremlin
    00:30-01:40 Check-in and security (T3 Pearson)
01:40-02:40 The Star Alliance corral (E Gates)
02:40-03:27 Boarding (from a bridge, like human beings)
03:27-05:43 The seat and the freebies
    05:43-06:53 Time to fly!
    06:53-07:16 Dinner (vegetarian)
    07:16-07:31 Ambitious in-flight entertaintment
    07:31-08:25 The Gremlin Loo Review
08:25-08:55 Only cryptocats will be able to sleep
    08:55-09:10 Breakfast (vegetarian too)
    09:10-11:13 Sadly that's all, folks
11:13-11:59 Exit to town (easier with an EU passport)
11:59-12:45 Various weird shots from Toronto Pearson

This is a cool and funny review. I'm taking this flight after about 3 weeks and looking forward to it. Once again, thanks for this great video, it's so informative and also very funny 😊

Thank you very much, I'm blushing here 🙂 I flew this again in December, with my family this time, so a sequel is coming (it'll be up Friday next).

Funny i took this flight (the later one) the very next day. I enjoyed it. But I did enjoy the food better on the way back (from Poland), and the interior/ife was updated on the way back. I flew economy.

very nice video, good enery. love lot, even i am british. i wll fly premium with LOT to japan in july. by the way, with premium you could have used fast security check line. the only thing premium, if empty seats you cant extend seats next to you. economy if spare seats, you can make a bed

Thank you very much! It is a bit of a matter of luck with the cabin crew with them, really, some are good, some are appalling, especially if you do not speak Polish (long haul is a perk, so often it is senior employees who are not totally comfortable with English and so tend to avoid the customers they can't communicate with all that well). We did subsequently fly business with them from Toronto, so that video is coming, eventually...Please do let me know how the Japan flight goes for you (or send me a link to your video please)!

    Hello Gremlin
I just stumbled on your channel for the first time today
I wanted to ask you a question, I am a fellow female vlogger from Florida wanting to go to England this spring. I am 25 years old and when I mentioned this to my parents, my mom was on board with the idea but my dad is concerned about me traveling by myself in a foreign country.
How old were you when you first flew on your own and what would be the best advice you can give to someone who is traveling by herself? There's a heightened concern for women traveling on their own, which is what my father is concerned with, so I'd like to know what I can do to protect myself.
I hope you answer my question, I've just subscribed to your channel.
    Thank you

Hello! When I was young, which was a few hundred years ago, they let me travel at 17 - but that was to Scandinavia, which is very safe. 25 sounds like a big girl to me, so you should manage. Like everywhere, depends where exactly do you go in the UK, and where exactly within this locations. I'd say the streets are generally way safer than the U.S. (in some areas, you might get mugged for your phone, money or watch, but they won't shoot at you :-) Why don't you send me an email about where exactly you would like to go, I might know the places and be able to help with some planning/what spots to avoid/what not to miss. Don't suppose you have a friend who might want to tag along?

@@gremlinontheroad I'd prefer to travel alone, I was planning on staying with a friend in a village. When I saw this video of you traveling by yourself to Poland I thought I should ask you about traveling to a foreign country on my own. Is your email in the bio? I was just about to get some sleep for the night, it is 1 am in Florida.

@@floridaculturalgirl Yup, it was 1 am in Ontario, too 🙂 The email is in the bio, it's gremlinontheroad@gmail.com. It was a little different this time, as I am Polish, so I was going back home, albeit for the first time in 5 years (Poland is a great place to travel to on your own, btw, even a solo female will be safe - and adventures will happen, as people are hospitable and open), but I have been to Denmark, Norway, Germany, Greece and France on my own and I have never felt uncomfortable in any of these places. I don't think UK will be any worse, although I've always had local company there and so been steered around the maybe not so desirable areas/times of night, especially in London.

well the football game up North sounds like the scariest bit of that... (joking, English football fans are quite well behaved these days). Sounds like you're all set up, I'll try to send over some tips in the next days, but I cannot see any reason for anyone to be concerned about your safety!

Hi Dorothy, sorry you think this (not sure why you used the squibbles, if that is your view). I genuinely had a good experience, at a decent price. If you want to see some flights I did not enjoy, take a look at the LGW to Malaga, or Malaga back to LGW in the summer (I posted them in September). Best wishes, GOR
