Use flight mode trim on the flaps so that you can trim the elevator in each position of the flaps in the air. I point my plane into the wind at a safe altitude, pull the power to idle, and trim the elevator so that it glides a little faster than the stall speed, but doesn't descend too steeply. I also enable f-mode trim on the ailerons so that I can trim out any turning tendencies due to slight differences in the deflection angle of the flaps.
A follow-up note John. One week and numerous flights over the last week. This is perhaps the best FMS model I have owned. Yes I posted a video but your technical review should answer anyone’s questions. Jim
Good looking plane. I’m excited that FMS is releasing some cool stuff. I mean they could release a flying brick as long as it’s not another Timber like HH has a money boner for lol Great video guys! Awesome flight! Definitely getting one
@@txkflier Even putting some color on the wheel pants woulda been nice to see.its more about cutting corners and savings thats why they hardly ever paint over white bare foam too!
@@looneytunes47 The real N1713C has all white wheel pants as do other real 182's. You can't tell bare foam isn't painted from 20 feet away. White paint adds weight. Put some gloss polyurethane on it to seal the foam. It'll be fine. 😎
Very unsafe the way some people hold those electric planes with prop right by their arms. Seen many slicing n dicing just like a ginzu knife of arms and hands because of that. Especially when your transmitter is off and the receiver is turned on first🙄
From your angle it looks in the prop arc, but I assure you it was not. Electrics wont take off if the radio is not on, I never do this, and ofcourse its on the video. haha. As seen nothing happened..
@JohnVHRC yeah but as you carry the plane and raido in hand, an accidental touch of throttle gimbal, and an ouchy ouchy. Trust me , I've seen it happen too many times, even in these says with 2.4 gig radios.
@@TheMrskydog I have a throttle kill switch, plus, hard to see, but when I carry the radio, I have my thumb above the throttle stick holding it down, so between those two it is impossible for the motor to go.

Haha HH own fms now don't they 🤔I used to like them before HH got hold of them and jacked the prices up to HH prices
@@propgear123 HH doesn’t own FMS

Too late John. I’ve already ordered the red one….Jim
Too bad they didnt splash some graphics on the top side of the wings.
Real Cessna 182's don't have any graphics on top of the wings.
