My recommendation would be to just go a *bit* higher for Shirou. But still _AMAZING!_

major props to Archer's VA, the sheer emotion in that final "Goddamn it." Carried. Even for someone who doesn't know the context of his story, it's easy to feel the confliction of his own nature in this scene. *Damn it do I love these two characters*

The funnier part of that is that Archer and Shirou both have the same VA in this.
Its weird hearing shirou sound so manly when most abridges makes him sound like a whiny kid. Love your work keep it up

That last line is just the icing on the cake. Archer *knows* what Shirou is going to go through, he knows the end result but even still he can’t go through with killing his younger self
After all... It wasn't a mistake. The truth behind those words ring true and Archer knows it.
Ehh, sorta. Fate is visual novel. All the alternative routes are canon, including the ones where Shirou is killed horribly. Archer comes from a route like the Fate route but according to the author "something was missing" and he couldn't "save Saber's heart".
He's not 100% going to be a Counter Guardian like Archer. It's just a possible future if he goes down that path. Archer's time as CG has sorta made him bitter about his past but he didn't seem to be when he died. Just as a CG that he really was like this was a mistake.

The fact that Shirou cleans the swords of their rust, their "corruption" if you will, is really fucking cool. Now, you can be a NEEEEEEEERD and go on a rant about how it has thematic presence as EMIYA is one who has "given up on the ideals of a hero" whereas Shirou is "continuing to fight for the ideals of a hero", which, frankly, God knows I want to do that (but I'm also not a pedantic nerd unless explicitly asked to be one), so...
Yeah. Just a really cool touch.

This hits me the most because lots of people don't understand Archer. He never truly wanted to kill Shirou. He could have done this multiple different times.
What he wanted was to save Shirou...from himself. Archer sees he's going down the same path he once took, and wishes to stop it. But in the end, he was saved instead by....himself.
He achieved the answer....He may have many regrets. But even so, he..Shirou wasn't wrong for following in the path of the hero.
It wasn't until I watched this that I noticed how Shirou's takeover of UBW made EMIYA's blades cleaner and free of rust. His version is clean and idealistic, compared to EMIYA's broken-down aesthetic.
Emiya, how do you expect to defeat actually satan?

1:14 GOD I LOVE THAT. Ugh, there are so many time where I feel that just having low music with text and no voices can do a statement or scene so much justice. The only part of Apocrypha that I really felt something from was when that happened with Fran. Nice job with this fandub man.

1:35 I JUST NOTICED THAT SHIROU’S UBW OVERTAKES ARCHER’S COMPLETELY! HOW HAVE I NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE?!? I believe that this is where Shirou truley becomes “Archer”, or at least solidifies what path he will take, and since Archer’s from the future, his UBW changed to fit Shirou’s. Or he’s just completely given up and has accepted fate at this point. Either way, it’s very poignant.
I dunno why, but for some reason I was expecting Logan from Project Mouthwash to be voicing Archer. XD Silly me.

Isn't Muramasa's schtick that he's trying to forge a singular, ultimate sword, and that any other swords he makes are just failed prototypes in pursuit of that perfection? So wouldn't it just be him making one, uber-powerful sword(and probably giving himself a massive attack bonus) and cutting the enemy down with it in one single powerful slash?
@@Brutalyte616 yes but every other sword he made is really powerful but would immediately break after a single swing and since he uses shirou as his vessel, ubw may help in strengthening the sword he made
@@BarelyDecentProduction As far as I'm aware, Muramasa can't use Unlimited Blade Works despite possessing Shirou's body, presumably because the Reality Marble exists within Shirou's mind and not his, thus making Muramasa's godly forging abilities and Shirou's magecraft are mutually exclusive.
@@Brutalyte616 true but look at the current event on jp, we're literally in space, with space rin. If they can make that happen, they can pull something out of their ass to make it possible for Muramasa to use ubw
If he were added, his NP would be the Kusanagi Muramasa that was used against the “Sorcerer.” It’d also probably be a suicide attack like Stella.

Honestly hate how most of the comments are referencing Project Mouthwash. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE their content, but it’s really annoying how you make this amazing short, filled with cool details like Shirou’s footsteps being the sound of swords clashing, and half of the comments are about a different channel
It can be a little frustrating. I know people mean well when they do so, so it doesn't bother me too too much. Can be kinda inescapable tho, even on Apocrabridged.

One thing I hate about dubs is how the dialogue is translated. It sounds really awkward in English due to the formal nature of Japanese. Small rewrites in how the dialogue flows like here can really boost dubs to a whole new level.

This was really great. The dialogue seems a little clunky though. Shirou reassuring himself it's just a few more steps seems pretty ooc for him. For Shirou it doesn't matter how large the challenge is. He'll take it on either way. Archer saying goddammit also seems pretty ooc. I understand it's perhaps meant to symbolise him being less 'Archer' and more 'Shirou' in that instance, but even so.
Voice acting could use a bit work but not gonna lie I like it
