This is probably the most relatable RUclips channel I watch. Seeing all these guys with their click bait titles “1000hp whatever car!! Crazy acceleration” makes everybody so de sensitized to what it’s like to actually work on your own car at home on a budget. Mad respect for you bro keep uploading! Would love to see a pro box I could send you some battery terminals or donations for a build or something too, just wanna help the channel out man 👍
Knew a olld guy one time hook up an extra windshield washer pump with tank with gas in it to prime his carburetor so he didn't have to open the hood had it on a button
Hell ya it's called country tune up put your metal to the padel tune man keep them video coming enjoyed it j.b weld it lest u wasn't in woods I got 700r I swap keep 💯
Great entertainment ! These trucks are amazing currently going through the same issue on my 89 k1500 , can’t get transmission tooo shift & not tryin to spend money! can’t wait too see how you rig it up! Keep up the grind
Hey go get a tps for the 88 tbi wire it to the original sensor wire harness put it on a bracket connect it to the carb it Will shaft that transmission along as the original box is there
@bowtieguy601 I want a 400 sbc for my c10 I have a built 350 in her right now it was my grandpa's truck I have like 7k in it and I've only drove it 200 miles it's down in FL at my brother's needing fuel lines I wish I could show you a Pic I believe you'd like it
One of his truck wrecking nephews or the neighbor siphoned his tank 😂 My Silverado has a bad oil leak. I just knew the oil level was good and I had checked it last week. I guess more time has passed than I thought and when I did an oil change only 1 quart came out my engine 😢. Luckily the ol 5.3 is still running strong, but man I felt like a dummy and almost had to replace my engine
You shouldn’t run in-tank electric fuel pumps below 1/3-1/2 tank if possible. The in-tank pumps use the fuel to help being submerged in fuel to help cool, so running them low on fuel makes them run hotter than recommended reducing life span.
Just a heads up. If youre ever near a Northern Tool you can get 20 packs of battery terminal ends for like $10. I see you need them quite often. Otherwise keep putting out vids and we'll keep watching.
next time heat that pulley bore up with a map gas torch and it will slide right on that shaft... put that sh*t on immediately before it cools down. make sure you get the pulley alignment center too.
Instead of using a bunch of rubber fuel line, go to the parts store and get yourself a few sticks of 3/8 steel brake line/tubing and use that to build new lines. The cheap rubber hose these days just rots super quickly and will probably be bad in about 6 months where the steel line will last for years.
Sticks? Stop fighting those and buy rolls of nicopp. It's WAY easier to work with. Bending, flaring, whatever. I've made a top of factory looking lines with it. I'd mostly agree on the rubber though.
@@aaadamt964 I only say to get the steel lines because, at least in my area, none of the local stores stock NICOPP lines and I know ever parts store keeps steel lines in stock. Aluminum line is also a good alternative but just like NICOPP, a lot of local stores don't stock it.
@@briang4470 I'd be surprised if anywhere local to me even carries the sticks anymore. I'm in ohio though. Everyone is constantly changing blown brake lines, transmission lines, etc. The hydraulic flaring kit is a top seller around here too. Haha
Hey Bowtie if you live anywhere near Wesson Mississippi I got a Eldelbrock 4 barrel carb that was an extra for a dirt car I bought I will give you.i can send you pics of it if ya give me info to send pics
I had a 98 and my dad had a 97 both had the same issue fuel pumps his complete quit one day and wouldn't even start the truck and mine had low pressure and ran like your those older Chevy fuel pumps are junk great trucks tho he had his for 5 years before it rusted in half would had mine still if it wasn't totaled
You couldn’t just continue to manually shift it? I didn’t even know 1 would shift at all without the computer. All I know about those transmissions is I think they suck.
Get rid of that junk carb and put a 4150 on it, had a 750 and got tired of always messing with it, bought a atm 750 and was dead on right out of the box never looked back, edelbrock for intakes and that it
I don't know why you spend all your time wasting on that truck man when you got that other truck sitting right over there that looks so much better bro I put that thing together
Have you ever considered making a PO box available for your viewers to send you gifts if they choose. I think it would be beneficial to you.
i agree heck i know he could deff use a nice flood light he can use at night
I would send him top and side post battery terminals
Well hopefully he will see our comments and then consider it.
Yes he should…..id send him leftover chevy parts in a heartbeat

You may can take some valve lapping compound to put on power steering shaft to be able to hold pulley on

After that cold ❄ start she was ready to Go and be turned loose
You need a jump box
Glad you figured it out
Hell ya🔥🥃🇨🇦
Nobody's perfect if they claim to be their full of shit🤣🤣
You need to take that carburetor down to the gulf and throw it in
Order a name brand accelerator pump diaphragm rod ethanol compatible. The 10-15% ethanol in most gas today kills the rubber
next time heat that pulley bore up with a map gas torch and it will slide right on that shaft... put that sh*t on immediately before it cools down. make sure you get the pulley alignment center too.
Yeah my bottles are empty at the moment lol
love your video ...keep them coming
What about a manual valve body would that work ??
I think you can make em manual but I'm not a trans guy lol

Sounds healthy !!!
I think it's easier to drop the tank then pull the bed off just my opinion is all
Bed was already unbolted
I once worked on a car for 2 days and found out it wasn't in park. That's why I wouldn't start.

I need to check now that you reminded me lol

You couldn’t just continue to manually shift it? I didn’t even know 1 would shift at all without the computer. All I know about those transmissions is I think they suck.
Takes off in second is only problem
@@bowtieguy601 oh ok, didn’t know that. Good to know. If I ever find myself in that situation. I could live with that.
A buddy sent me a link to a controller box for 30 bucks you can wire up to do full manual shift with the lock up so I may go that route
@@bowtieguy601 that’s cheap enough for sure
Shit man are you in the 601?
Yep
Google looking truck bro
That a boy
Get rid of that junk carb and put a 4150 on it, had a 750 and got tired of always messing with it, bought a atm 750 and was dead on right out of the box never looked back, edelbrock for intakes and that it
Yeah id like to try one of those ATM carbs
15 inch rally wheels then she have some speed
I would not say that you are an idiot, I would however say that you are not the opposite of an idiot.
