I have one of those cheap little welders. Don't use an extension cord if at all possible when welding with it. I know from experience that you want to be as close to an outlet as possible with the shortest cord you can. When I had mine on a 20' cord all it did was splatter and lay boogers. I plugged it right into the outlet and got great penetration and decent stacked welds
I have seen them plate what is cut out and put a temporary pipe. Then cut the rest of the front out and weld in a 3” pipe to the plates. Then remove the temporary pipe. So the 3” pipe is close to center. I have to say,you have your self a hot rod!! I use to put a pack of cigarettes on the dashboard and leave the back window unlatched, and the pack of cigarettes would be where I started, lol. Non believers had to sit in the back seat and try to hold on to the front seats, hahahahahaha! I would flip them and land the cigarettes where I started, hahaha!! I’m excited for you brother, this dog will hunt!
I've got 2.8 frame mounts in mine and they bolted right in no problems you can put the nuts on the back side and everything I've got zinc bolts bolting my 2.8 mounts in I didn't have to cut anything and I had a full size 1500 huge starter on my S10 Blazer I did have to cut the tip off of my drive shaft when I first start the stock drive shaft back in but I'm running a 700 r4 transmission
I wish you could send some of that rain to the northwest end of the state. Y’all always getting good rains and we get a couple tenths, barely settles the dust.
A transdapt crossmember is cheap . With a th350 stock one will work if you have one laying around one from a s10 truck will also work. Don’t understand why even for a big block swap you don’t need to cut the truck up , I didn’t and I had BB two turbos and two radiators all in engine bay
I have that same engine I posted about it being a ATK 383 engine and she will run fine on 93 brother just letting you know that because I have that same engine same heads everything and mine is 5yrs old still running with nitrious
Go to harbor freight they have a titanium flux 125 welder there for less than $200 bucks I guarantee you it'll be the best welder you buy for you it runs off 110 and welds hot
Careful pouring gas down the carb with it running. One backfire through the carb and you are basically holding on to a grenade. Not trying to be the safety police...just dont want to see you lose any fingers 😂
Well I didnt wanna be one of those people asking strangers for money lol.. but it's a RJT601 I guess if yall wanna help the cause.. I'm trying to get a few odds n ends to get the blazer finished up now

Looks good bud keep up the good work. Hope you get 100.000 this year
I wonder if the welder works better when it gets low because the roll of wire gets easier to turn and the wire feed speed gets faster 🤔
Maybe
Man i really like that orange and black obs
Higher motor mounts what is it the but sitting down lower and back further will help with weight distribution
Looks like its gonna be a blast
I would love to work on my stuff at night but then again I don't want my neighbors to think I'm a tweaker 😂
Channel should be called SHADE TREE MECHANIC lol

It looked like it didn’t have an oil filter on it

I’ve been saying the same thing bro ! Atleast for some gas ⛽️ wouldn’t hurt lol
I call bullshit on the 13.1 compression and it being a 383 stroker, sounds like a bone stock 350 with headers,
Well thats what it is so 🤷
Said it pumps 250 psi on cranking
