- Here is a new getting ready for Thanksgiving Day video. We enjoyed a week early Thanksgiving, so I thought I would share a bit of how I got ready with a little cleaning inside and outside by clearing out the mum garden beds. I will be showing you how I decorated our Thanksgiving tree, that will be turned into a Christmas tree, with ribbon and dried fruit. You will also see how I used some of the past craft projects for Thanksgiving decorations and for our Thanksgiving tables such as the cornhusk garland, the dried rosebud garland, and the dried oranges.

What a beautiful place to have Thanksgiving. Your family and guests are so blessed to sit at that table. I learned a few things from this video.
Use your knuckles to crimp pie crust, put warm water in the bottom of your gravy boat before the gravy and float cranberries in water with candles for a table decoration. Everything looks just perfect Linda! I love that cozy little four person table you set in your soon to be pantry.

I love your videos. You make everything look elegant, but simple. Just perfect in my opinion. My favorite pie for Thanksgiving is the traditional pumpkin, but at Christmas time, I love an apple pie.
I don't know if anyone else saw the "firefly" in the very beginning of your video? I replayed it several times and its definitely there; not my eyes playing tricks on me. Check it out. You may have a spirit visiting you? Your decorating is so beautiful and warm and cozy! Love it.
I will certainly look!, but I am going to guess it was a green spot that is made by my camera lens and any type of light reflection. It gets very busy sometimes with it. iPhone needs to work on that. LOL But, I believe so... ;-)

Another smashing video. Love the threaded ribbon idea. Also the floating cranberries in the glass storm lantern. Was just trying to figure that out when you explained it to us. You set your table with the lovely dinner service. I first saw it when you used one of the cups to make a cup of tea in a video. Not sure if it is peacocks but certainly birds. My family enjoys pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving so I prepare them each year. I love apple pie and sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. This year, I prepare a sweet potato for myself for Thanksgiving.

Linda, wonderful decor, as usual! The painting of the little boy in colonial dress to the left of your
DR windows reminds me of the artwork by Louise Lekka. We are lucky to own two of her beautiful primitives of children. Mrs. Lekka passed away years ago but I understand that the faces of the children were inspired by real children who appeared in the Sears catalogs back in the day. Many of her paintings (original works of art) were sold in the Williamsburg shop at the Belk department store in Greenville, NC in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The store manager at Belk loved Mrs. Lekka's work and was kind enough to share it with his customers. Just sharing a little bit of trivia! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

When I was a girl growing up in lower Michigan, my maternal Grandmother had moved back to her native Oklahoma from Philadelphia. I’m Oklahoma she had a pecan tree in her yard, and some holidays we would receive a huge box of pecans from her as a holiday treat. I remember the pecan pies and radishes my Mom would bake, they were delicious! Your pies are BEAUTIFUL! I like that you use packaged crust, I will try it to hen next I bake. My favorite pie is strawberry rhubarb, I love the tang. But for Thanksgiving, I MUST have pumpkin! Looking forward to the Christmas decorating video!!!! Be well🙂

Our apple pie is similar... I use cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, a pinch of salt, and some flour so the apples don’t get runny. I also use a pre-done crust... so much easier. I also use an extra egg in my pumpkin, it firms up nicer. Happy Thanksgiving.

We have three maple trees in our backyard...well, in ours I should say we have one large one and two in the neighbours adjoining us that hang over our fence so they feel like they are partly ours...😂...I love the leaf garland but thinking I'd love to take a grapevine wreath and adding the leaves in bunches around the wreath for our front door...❤️ I just love everything you do!
I did that in the past, using a different type of trumpet flower vine and then a grape vine. They both looked great, but when I made it finally without the vines it was so much easier to move, remove, save, and use again. (if you want to try to re-use like I did). It really is a fun project, but you will see leaves in your dreams! LOL

As almost french people we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but my favorite pie is Apricot pie ( with almonds cream below). I made my own recipe with brown sugar and you can trust me, it’s evenly.
