It's that time again, I went thrift shopping and consignment store shopping for both classic traditional home décor, some clothes for winter 2020, and holiday crafting items like a glue gun that looks like a pen. For my traditional home, this home décor haul was so good and if you come shop with me, you will also see my clothing thrift haul including some clothes for the holidays, including Christmas. I am even sharing what to look for when thrift shopping for home decor items. I found some great high-end fine living finds such as brass and black lamps, brass and silver-plate candle stick holders, a Ralph Lauren rug, and an oil painting. For my economical purchases, I found glass hurricane globes, a couple of fall clothing items.
Learning how to get rid of things - When something comes into the house, I let something go, which is sometimes hard to do, but it is worth it when bringing upscale thrift items into your home.

I´d also like to add that your home makes me feel like I can breathe. I watch many home tours and sometimes the houses are so overdecorated that it makes me feel claustrophobic. You have far less ¨things" and it looks so much better. I guess less is more.

I have been collecting brown transferware for over 20 years, most of my pieces have come from eBay. I look everytime I'm in a consignment, thrift, antique shop and it is not easy to find. I display it and use it every Thanksgiving. Your home is so beautiful and I'm so glad I found your channel!
Thank you for taking us shopping in New England. So relaxing and distracting from current events. Here, in Northern California, the sun is too bright and cool weather is slow to arrive. Leaves are turning but Autumn is arriving so late. We just finished a red flag wind warning for fires. Last month we had terrible fires and last year at this time I was evacuated to my daughters because of fires. That seems to be the 'new normal' around here at this time of year. So to come to New England and see your wonderful treasure hunt and the obvious season change is so relaxing and balm for my soul.

I also want to mention the buffet lamps! I would have also made a bee line for those lamps, EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I think you have helped me understand how much joy I might experience if I begin in the spring to look more closely for shops in the Seacoast New Hampshire. By the way, my sister and brother-in-laws home in Michigan is filled with elegant portraits of people they don’t know-lol! They name and adopt them also, so you certainly aren’t alone 🙂.

Loved all your finds. I found 2 brass lamps at a goodwill. Beautiful in perfect condition. Orangional tags said 89 dollars apiece.got them for 6 dollars for the pair.It is so beautiful where you live.

I love my lamps,I to can let some go,but i do not over decorate,I live,by the motto,"Less is M ore,",I buy something and i really let something go,you have too,if not you will have a lot of clutters. Iam graceful people come to my home,and they say,you house is clean &neat,and not overly decorated, which you can really see your beautiful pieces in your home

OH my goodness! I love your taste in home decor.ni actually found almost the exact same pair of lamps at our local goodwill for 24.99 for the pair! I grabbed them as fast as I could. They were absolutely in perfect condition and I did t really need them but now I couldn't live without them. I love the hurricane globes and the brass candlesticks as well. We visited the Berkshires a couple of years ago. I sure wish I had known about all of these amazing consignment stores when I was there. I would have definitely visited them no matter how far I had to drive. Massachusetts is a beautiful state. The seasons are similar to ours here in southern Ontario.
Don't you find it hard not to buy everything you see that you love, even if the item is not what you're looking for or doesn't really fit in with your style. I have to really hold myself back, if I didn't my home would be way over the top eclectic.

For my first ever consignment shopping I came upon in Elora Ontario a Club Monaco 100% wool full length winter coat for $49.00!! The coat still had its tags on ,$500.00!!!!!
