Loved the light show on rock and seaweed! I also am enjoying the little antique and thrift store jaunts. Precious iron stove--no fires, please! Thank you!
I'm so happy you liked it @Markell Williams and I did it as a sort of request to a viewer and it turned out pretty fun considering I only had simple things to do it :)
I think it would be so neat to see you cook on the tiny stove. I think it should be oiled even if you don’t cook on it. But if you did use it I think it would be fine if you oil it before and after. Another fun day on the Cape! 💕😃 Thanks for the light show and the beloved big band music!
Good point! and I think I am going to cook on my little cookstove, probably in a fun vlog in the coming new year. I keep using it in decorating and , let's face it, as an excuse to play with it lol so firing it up would be such a joy, it's quite a sturdy little thing. Thanks for stopping by @Kim Murphy and good advice, oil it first.
I love the dog nut cracker, I past up a squirrel nut cracker a few weeks ago, when I went back to get it, it was gone. I would love to see you cook on that miniature stove.
That was a fun shopping trip! I loved seeing the stone walls and Fall foliage on the way. It is so nice to see how people volunteer their time and items to this thift shop. The cranberry glass caught my eye!
I live in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, UK. A few years ago I visited New England and Cape Cod and your video of the trip to the thrift shop reminded me very much of that. You live in a beautiful part of the world - love those old houses too. I'm more of a fan of you than I am of Escape to the Chateau!
Lovely area of UK and so happy you were able to visit our sweet little corner of New England, next to Old England, I think this bit of my country just suits me. Oh you can't compare me to Lalande, we are apples and oranges and I LOVE La Lande and Stephanie and I credit her amazing vlog for me feeling even the push to really have a go at making videos. All the lovely Lalande sort of videos , Michael at doing it ourselves, Selmars vlogs, Sweet Marie and her flowers, the Pethericks, Lovely Ryan all of them and so many others are SO wonderful and I adore them all :) Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you'll come back again :) @Lyn Hill
I am so happy I found you and your channel. Your voice is so soothing. You are surrounded among gorgeous things. You appreciate those gorgeous things. Also I have to say, I think besides it being amazing, You REALLLLLY made out on that salespersons (I think its) miniature. SO SO SO SO dear and fine. I am sure not many like that exist anymore, but certainly not with that many parts. Such a treasure!!!!
Thank you so much! and Welcome @13FallenAngela I know I think I did get a good deal with that little stove. I still need to 'cook' on it for a vlog, but so busy now with Spring I might save that for an Autumn or Winter vlog, make a little mini apple pie or something in it, it'd be adorable and I can film my darling quail, Una, eating it haha.
Those fireplace tools were quite a find! I had a miniature cast iron cook stove like that many years ago. I don’t recall where I got it or what happened to it but I so enjoyed it while I had it! It looks like the pans could use a seasoning!
I had a little cast iron stove when I was a child (long time ago). My most vivid memory is the time I dropped it on my big toe. Believe me, it hurt a lot and my toenail turned black and eventually fell off, revealing a lovely new toenail. It definitely was one of my most treasured toys. Loved the thrift shop and you did a great job on the light show, very clever way of doing it. Thanks Donna 🙏🏻
Over thirty years ago if not more, I saw a miniature oven I loved. I nearly brought it, but, didn't. I have regretted my decision so many times. Enjoyed the light show and such a good idea on now to make it work.
As usual a fun video. Yes mam you did good with the miniature and your delight in being so pleased with your treasure was so gratifying. I really loved the little building on your timeline at 7:52. So quaint. My brain was going on overload of what I could do with that building. LOL Thank you for the lightshow and I like the music.
Everything you got was worth it especially the miniature stove you bought. I would’ve definitely jumped on it for that price . Even if it was 60$ or even 100. It’s not stuff you’d see every day so definitely worth it. Thanks again for taking us along. 🙏🏽♥️
I totally agree! @Markell Williams and I really love that little stove. I used it in a Christmas mantle decoration and will probably give it pride of place in my kitchen one day :) It's a cute place to shop.
Mrs Davis - challenge complete - lol. Thank you so much for brightening up my day as always. I also loved the little antique stove - I think you got a bargain and i would have snapped that up too. I think you are right, it could be a little salesmans sample, or just simply a lovely ornament or toy - so sweet. Have a lovely week and i look forward to catching up again from across the pond soon. Take care. :)
Ha ha @Phil Nixon It's like a video game, challenge complete! :) It was actually fun to do and at one point, standing in the shallows with my tripod holding the gels in one hand the camera in the other I thought, "Well, RUclips has given me even more diversions to amuse myself" :) This is an interesting adventure. Lovely to chat with you and I'm so happy to have those who chat with us at Lalande also comment here. I really feel like we're all digital neighbours in a vast (yet small somehow) village. Take care as well and I'll 'see you' in the chats :)
Oh thank you @Debra Scarturro it's very flattering to have people like my voice as with most people, we don't like the sound of our own voice and I have to listen to mine in headphones a lot now as I edit :) I am happy others find it fun here, as I did always think my life quiet and well not boring to me, but I've always liked quiet things :)
No need to compare your world to La Lande. Your world, hobbies, interests, creations are so relatable and enjoyable-not boring. You are creating joy for yourself and others! thank you! I will never get to France, but I sure may try for those cute vintage and antique stores at the cape!
Oh what a lovely comment @Joanne Emerick and I hope you do make it one day to the shops. I never get bored of shopping up and down old Kings Highway or 6A as we call it, and I've been doing it for years :)
Hi Donna, looking forward to this video! So sorry you haven't been able to see your Mum in law. There are so many of us in a similar situation, separated from loved ones by distance or concern. Hopefully things will turn a corner soon
Yes I hope so @Etholle G we just spoke with her again today, her birthday and normally we'd all be together :/ and she just had to have a lump biopsied and we would normally be at her house to make her feel better, odd times we live in now.
How fun!! I have to tell you both my Mom and myself had a miniature stove like the one you bought today. They were from the 1950's so am sure they were reproductions! Even had all the little pans etc. Mom had hers made into a table lamp that she kept on a dry sink next to her stove in the kitchen. Eventually, my husband made a copper pan I put inside the oven and I grew a pothos vine out of the holes in the top surface. I guess you will need to clean the rust off of those little fryingpans!
Hi Donna , Thank you SO Inspiring and lovely fun . I enjoy taking the back road with you and watching the beautiful homes and foliage . Such fun to be apart of your creative journey . I would love to see you cook on your precious miniature stove , adorable Fun indeed . Your light show is Just Grand !!! Lovely 💥💫✨💕
I'm really considering it, cooking on that little stove, just to see what fun it could be @doreen maggio and since it'll be awhile before I can have 'bessie' my vintage stove hooked up in the boathouse, it'll be a good stand in LOL. Thanks for stopping by.
Wished you had shown more close up of the jewelry a little slower. Would have liked to seen close up of some of their necklaces and earings, especially any dangling earings. Enjoyed the lovely drive seeing the houses.
Aren't they wonderful in there and perhaps I shall bump into you one day, tho we'd never know as we'd all have masks on ha ha We are lucky to live here are we not @Linda Gallagher ?
Glad you enjoyed it @Dawn Clutton and yes my 'light show' lol I just had to do something after my 'challenge' on our chats :) I had fun at night playing on the beach anyway , just another day in the life round here :)
Thanks for the Route 6A drive and bay views. My (now deceased) dad's best friend lives in Sandwich now many years, and I lived there summer of 1976, in the home of the then Chief of Police, right in the town centre. I was a server at the Daniel Webster Inn, a job I was completely unsuited to, but I loved living on Cape, as we spent our childhood summers in Harwichport where my grandparents and aunt and uncle had homes.
ha ha yeah I'd probably not be a very good server either, but Dan'l Webster still here and still going strong, altho a bit more curtailed in our current world. Yes, the cape is such a magical place, hope you can visit again soon. :)
Barnstable! How cool that was. This year I discovered my 10th great grandparents were Puritans who settled in the Plymouth Colony in 1620 and after awhile as the Pilgrims spread out, they had a farm near Barnstable. Looks like it became a beautiful New England village. One day I hope to visit where my ancestors settled. Enjoyed the thrift store tour. I LOVE your fashion apparel. Your vlog is one of my favorites.
I truly enjoyed this video I came across it by accident... I live in Barnstable I've been to that Thrift Shop it's adorable... It brings you back to another time and place of nostalgia and history Where it All Began thank you for your beautiful tour
Enjoyed your stroll through the thrift shop. So many items I would have purchased if I were not so far away but I feel a weekend trip in the future to explore that sweet New England spot!
New subscriber here 😃I loved this little thrift store..if I lived nearby I would definately be shopping there..i love looking for anything vintage escpecially floral China, ironstone, jewelry. Thank you for taking us along with you!😃🍁
Thanks for subbing! And so happy to have you :) We do have a good assortment of thrift and antique shops round here, one can shop up and down 6A and never get bored as you reach the other end, all new 'old' things are in and you can start all over again :) But, not so good for my pocket book LOL.
We have some lovely examples of the American vernacular round here @Zoe White since we've many old places they really show the move from the Old English homesteads of the 1600's into the various decades. Cedar shakes and shingles and wooden trim are really the Hallmark of the architecture round here, though I LOVE stone and masonry buildings they are not as prevalent here as are wooden structures.
Well Donna, so surprised to learn you love miniatures also. I have a few little tea sets, noting actually antique. As my space is limited in a condo, rather than tripping over boxes of things I have no room for, I stopped myself from picking up darling little things I’ve seen in so many places! Hey-I LOVE Stephanie and everything being accomplished at LaLande. We must remember for years it was only herself, and her mother and father. Now she has people coming from all over the world, thanks to the internet, to help her with SO many things. I enjoy watching what they accomplish together, and love the camaraderie as well as the ‘joie de vivre’ as a person who spent way too many years being so serious, nose to the grindstone! I LOVE what you share, all of it, including the light show! Do not sell yourself short, I can’t get to the ocean every day, so I look at what you share, the view means SO much-THANK YOU!!
I look forward to watching the joy filled journey you share with all of us! We travelled 6A years ago while visiting. Cape Cod will always be one of my favourite places. (When I was a child, we had a stove like that in our farmhouse kitchen. Not only was it a source of heat, I can still smell the bread my mom made as she set it on the top to rise)🥰🇨🇦
I'm so glad you love my little videos @Heather Doane and happy I can 'take you to Cape Cod ' :) My Mother in law's old cookstove is so lovely and can't wait to share it all with you some day, when we are allowed again :) I'd LOVE to have one here in the main house IF I can ever do over the kitchen...One day, until then I can dream it up however I like, dreams are free after all :)
I loved everything about this! You may think I'm crazy but my favorite part was the drive at the beginning looking at the colors and amazing homes! It reminded me of the week my husband and I spent in Massachusetts. We took in all the sites but made a point of finding back roads that would get us to our destination.... Eventually. We were actually considering moving to the area and had such a lovely time gawking at all the beautiful homes! Best of all...it was in the fall of the year. Thank you for bringing those memories back for me! Much love from Utah! 💕
No, I LOVE going for colour watching or house tour drives. In fact, if we get more lockdowns I could still do some drives I suppose :) We have so many pretty areas around here to get lovely views from a Sunday Drive.
Just LOVE seeing your world, New England! I live in Iowa, so do have the green factor. Love your land, trees, stone walls and houses! Thank you for bringing your world to me/us!
I'm so happy you enjoy it @ann Reeve New England is a lovely place I think and its' interesting how different all parts of our great Country really are, so interesting.
One thing that Americans do better than anyone ( amongst others! ) is lamps ! I have very often seen gorgeous conversions with such good quality materials and I love your system of setting the shade on top with a decorative screw in the theme. One of my treasures is a biscuit porcelain statue about 18 inches high that I bought in a garage sale in upstate NY. It sat on a velever covered wood base with a brass system that followed the back of the statue and held a huge shade. As I was flying I had to take it all apart and get rid of the shade and now I jsut have the statue of a woman grape picking with the basket on her back. I often soo amazing lamps on ebay but the cost of shipping makes it too much for France. Another lovely video thank you.
We have easy 'lamp kits' here that you can get to convert things to lamps, I wonder are there such things in your country that you could make your lovely lamp back into a lamp? I actually thought about the vase next to that lamp I showed would also have made an interesting lamp, so maybe we American's do like to make everything into lamps LOL. I hope you enjoyed the trip out today to the thrift shop @Stephanie Murray :)
I also have a cast iron cook stove which I use for supplemental heat. I have cooked on it and baked in it, but to get the oven to the bake temperature almost blows you out of the house, and you have to keep turning your pie or it will burn on the side where the firebox is. It takes a lot of watching but is very satisfying when your done. Your little stove is adorable.
My mother inlaw used to cook in her old one as well, when they had it in Maine, and she said in Summer is was SO HOT, now it's just supplemental heat in her kitchen but her cook stove is a 1929 propane fueled stove that I LOVE, I'll share it one day when we can go back over there, haven't been since March :/
A pretty drive out this time of year. Some great finds in the thrift store especially the stove. I liked the light show very much. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. regards from the UK
I so enjoyed this! Many times I take the slower scenic route, The drive was lovely! I love your miniature find, so sweet! I wonder if one of those little battery tealight candles would look cute in the oven?
Thank you so much! That is a good idea I was thinking of that when I use it in my Christmas decor, actually and still tempted to try and cook an quails egg on it LOL.
Oh that is so sweet @Dolly Dog but I'm SO different to the chateau that it's like apples and oranges and I really thank the chateau and lovely Stephanie for her inspiration. I still feel it was her joyful videos that inspired me to have a go :) I'll always thank her for that inspiration and credit her for my spark to have a go.
As usual, loved your adventure today! It always makes me feel at home - when I am missing New England these days...hopefully we can visit in the near future when things are better... I would be doing exactly what you did- visiting thrift and antique shops (with purchases) and spending time at the shore. Thank you for this.
I hope so too! That you can return and as long as we are allowed to and they are open, I will safely and smartly visit them. They all need our help and tho I've not much to spread around, I want our unique place to still be unique when we get back to 'normal' so I'll try my little bit :)
Oh what beautiful autumn colours , such a glorious trip to the shops ! Thanks once again for sharing your day out and the treasures that you purchased especially the miniature stove . I love it anything small that works is so fascinating. Love the light show too , so creative and a fraction of the price !
Glad you enjoyed it @Elaine Davies and I'm happy to share my quiet little life with all of you. I feel like I'm bringing you all along with me when I go :) Now when I talk to myself it's like I'm talking to all of you and not just the talking to myself LOL :)
Lovely vlog walking down memory lane visiting thrift and antique shops my love of quaint exquisite pieces. The christening gown remembering an heirloom in my family.Love the dear little stove imagining little hands and squeals of delight lifting the wee pans opening doors. You have an eye for quaint pieces. The light show outstanding perfect end to a lovely vlog.May your channel continue to grow❤️❤️👏👏
Thank you for another lovely autumn Sunday drive to a great little thrift shop. So glad you got all the metal pieces, especially that darling miniature cast iron stove, all at bargain prices! I dearly love Chateau LaLande, but don’t worry that it is more grand than your precious little neck of the woods. You have something they don’t: the beautiful and ever changing sea at your doorstep🤗
Oh you are so kind @Robin Church and of course I don't mean to compare to La Lande we're so different like Apples and oranges but I so love La Lande and credit Stephanies joy and excitement in your vlogs for spurring me on to try my own hand at it in my own little way. I've met so many wonderful people thanks to all the chateau vlogs, I love our community :)
Oh this video was fun! We love Rt 6A_ who could not it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing the thrift shop. We drive by it maybe weekly but never have stopped. THE Christmas section really was interesting. Because of the Pandemic and our age we are basically home. A trip to Trader's and that is it. When this is over I will certainly check it out. It was fun to watch your excitement while you were sharing the miniature stove. No please don't cook in it.( just my opinion ) enjoy your beautiful sea even as the weather turns cold
Well, even tho you live in the area but can't get out, hopefully I can share a few more places with you as long as we are still a bit open @Linda Wilson I really like feeling I'm giving people a chance to 'get out' in a way :) I always go early and am often the only other customer in places :)
I wanted a little toy stove ,my husband bought me one like that it wasn’t what l wanted ,l think mine was repro ,l resold it in our antique shop l got a 50s one in the end which is the style l had when l was a child ,
Thank you for another beautiful video!! I think you are doing a wonderful job!! I thought the prices at the thrift store were great. I loved those two cane chairs and table, so cute!! My sweet mother-in-law lives in the next house over so we have seen her quite a bit. We were staying away at first but she didn’t like that at all. She’s 96 and I think we have finally convinced her not to drive. Sorry you haven’t been able to see yours. Thank you for the light show too!! I will be looking forward to the next video. Stay safe!!😍
We'll get to see her at some point and we talk often. I miss going to her home tho, as It's so cozy and on a pond. Normally she heads off to Florida this time of the year, but every other year she waits until January to go as we can have Christmas here first before she heads off. This was the 'New England Christmas Year' and now we're not sure if we will get to be there with her. Luckily my sister in law lives at home with her as well, so she wont' be alone. I'm happy you get to see your Mother in law and it's convenient having her so close. Yes that table and chairs I only noticed when I was editing. I'm going to see what the price is next time I'm there :)
Hi Donna! I don’t comment often but I always watch, like, and watch the adverts. Our tastes are SO similar. Funny, I have been trying to find a cast iron stove as well. Seems like some parts r missing or the price is too high, but I’ll find one. I want to tell you that I watched your video about a month ago when you went to the Sandwich antique Center. You showed the large Sarreguemines face jug/pitcher from France. I couldn’t get that jug off my mind. I’ve looked at others but it didn’t have the detail of the one you showed plus the price was very good. So I called up the Sandwich Antique Center and bought it. They will be sending it to me early next week. I was surprised it was still there. Roxanne, the Manager and Marie an employee was very friendly and accommodating. I hope you don’t mind but I told them how I saw it on your video. So Thank you Donna! Maybe some day I will come from Indiana and stay in Old Kings Cottage and shop the area for Antiques and thrift shops. I always look forward to your videos.
This is an amazing story and I'm so happy for you. You know I almost broke down and bought it myself the other day when I was in there again LOL, but I'm so happy it is going to you :) Thank you so much for watching and for helping to support our local Antique shops :) @JoLynn Puente
Hello Donna from snowy & cold Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 I have a small round iron woodstove which I was told is a Salesmans Sample. I believe your antique wood stove complete with lifter, frying pans & kettle is also a Salesmans Sample. I have seen I or 2 in my travels & it is rare for them to survive with all the accoutrements. It will make an interesting festive display. Lovely day on the Cape! Patty 🎄☃️🦅🌞
I'm really interested in my little stove, no matter what it turns out to be, It's still a treasure, eh? And I'm glad you enjoyed spending the day with me here :)
@@DonnaDavisArt It was abig vase and I love butterflies and yellow. Loved seeing the yellow painted houses along the road, our first home was a midwestern Tudor style clapboard house that we painted a light yellow with white trim. It was built in the twenties, but I would have loved one of those houses. Lovely job on your channel.
I just moved away from New England to take care of family in Georgia, so this was like being back home, I miss it so much. Thanks for the trip, and bringing me back to my favorite places I've ever been to.
Good luck with caring for you family, that is a very selfless thing to do, so good on you. New England will be here waiting for you when you come back :)
I’m 61 and I had a toy cast iron stove with all the pots just like that when I was a child. I don’t know what happened to it or all the other wonderful toys I had.
I do fires pretty often especially this time of the year, so maybe I'll get one in this week ,we'll see @Arazhul :) Tho it might be more a 'campfire' than a bonfire, in size :)
Loved the light show on rock and seaweed! I also am enjoying the little antique and thrift store jaunts. Precious iron stove--no fires, please! Thank you!
Thank you so much @Karin Bergman I'm so happy you enjoyed it. We are lucky in our thrift, charity, and antique shops round here for sure.
Awww the light show was breathtakingly beautiful to me ♥️♥️♥️ 🏴
I'm so happy you liked it @Markell Williams and I did it as a sort of request to a viewer and it turned out pretty fun considering I only had simple things to do it :)
@@DonnaDavisArt oh yes yes dear I loved it! I love your trips to antique markets just as well. Thank you so much again darling 🙏🏽♥️
Fabulous way to finish. Wow such amazing little stove great finds for the day. Thank you for bringing us along.
This was enjoyable and the love the stove thank you ❤️

Excelent quality videos stability is outstanding ! You did a wonderful job portraying our little community !
Thank you so much 😀 I'm trying to improve with each video.
I love the dog nut cracker, I past up a squirrel nut cracker a few weeks ago, when I went back to get it, it was gone. I would love to see you cook on that miniature stove.
It was a toss up between that and the stove (trying to save for a new roof for Boathouse) so I chose the stove :) @Rosemary Wascher choices .
That was a fun shopping trip! I loved seeing the stone walls and Fall foliage on the way. It is so nice to see how people volunteer their time and items to this thift shop. The cranberry glass caught my eye!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Donna: Your camera work is getting so much better. Love sharing all your adventures with you.

What a sweet thrift shop. I am also drawn to scarves in thrift and antique stores. I always enjoy your view. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you! You too!
I had a little cast iron stove when I was a child (long time ago). My most vivid memory is the time I dropped it on my big toe. Oh no, poor little @Mavis Pritchard and your little toenail LOL. I'm hoping to use it in our deco for Christmas too :)
Over thirty years ago if not more, I saw a miniature oven I loved. I nearly brought it, but, didn't. I have regretted my decision so many times. Enjoyed the light show and such a good idea on now to make it work.
Well you can love mine :) I'm very tempted to cook on it :) @maria kirk
That was such a nice time You have a beautiful place to watch sunset. 😎
It really is! An evening fire with the sun setting and the waves crashing is joyous, I'll film that at some point :)
wow i like what u do, nice channel too. hope to see more. thank you!
Thanks Donna dear! What a lovely day and a lovely light show.
You are so welcome
I love your talks...it's like I'm a friend going on a roadtrip with you, my friend. Take care.
Oh that's wonderful @jean Lilley as I feel like I'm talking all of you with me and am thinking about you when chatting and filming :)
Great thrift store.
Beautiful scenery.
Thanks for visiting

Ha ha @Phil Nixon It's like a video game, challenge complete! :)
It was actually fun to do and at one point, standing in the shallows with my tripod holding the gels in one hand the camera in the other I thought, "Well, RUclips has given me even more diversions to amuse myself" :) This is an interesting adventure.
Lovely to chat with you and I'm so happy to have those who chat with us at Lalande also comment here. I really feel like we're all digital neighbours in a vast (yet small somehow) village.
Take care as well and I'll 'see you' in the chats :)
The mirror near the ladies was so lovely. I'm not familiar with laland but the bagpipes playing over your color show made with gels was fun!
Wasn't that a lovely mirror. OH La Land is Chateau De La Lande from Chateau Diaries, you should check it out. :)
I love your speaking voice and as you say "quiet little boring life." I will be back.
Thank you for sharing your little world that is so beautiful.
You are so kind
Love your miniature❤️I'm miniature crazy. Something about miniatures, just thrills me.
Glad you like it! Aren't they just wonderful they pull you into a tiny world.
Enjoyed the video. One of my favorite things to do is thrift and antique shopping.
Mine too!
Oh wow! I wondered when it was from. I'm so tempted to cook on it.
Thank you Donna. Loved your premier. Enjoyed the visit to the thrift shop😊😊
You are so welcome
I enjoyed the scenic drive and your beautiful haul.
Thank you so much!
I love your surroundings. How lucky you are! :)
Thank you I try to appreciate it everyday and count my blessings :)
Wished you had shown more close up of the jewelry a little slower.
Would have liked to seen close up of some of their necklaces and
earings, especially any dangling earings.
Enjoyed the lovely drive seeing the houses.
Ok next time
Your little stove is so sweet and fun and what a conversation piece! =)
It really is!
I go to the Cancer shop a lot and I love everything there and the ladies are so nice! I may see you there!
Aren't they wonderful in there and perhaps I shall bump into you one day, tho we'd never know as we'd all have masks on ha ha We are lucky to live here are we not @Linda Gallagher ?
I just love those colours near the water. Stunning views.
Hello @Barbara Grace and aren't the colours this time of year amazing.
I love your light show what a neat idea :)
Thank you! 😊 Just more inspiration from La Lande :)
Another wonderful journey with you!
Thanks so much!
Your miniature stove is well worth the price, love it.
The light show was great as well.
Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Great to see that the leaves are still colourful
Thanks for visiting
Thank you for sharing Donna, loved the trip out and light show 💥 x
Glad you enjoyed it @Dawn Clutton and yes my 'light show' lol I just had to do something after my 'challenge' on our chats :) I had fun at night playing on the beach anyway , just another day in the life round here :)
I like your life 😉
Thanks for the Route 6A drive and bay views.
Oh wow! That's wonderful. My husband is direct line from the Mayflower, through John and Priscilla Alden and also Brewsters :)
@@DonnaDavisArt That's so cool. This is the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower landing....so that is going to make Thanksgiving all the more special.
I truly enjoyed this video I came across it by accident... I live in Barnstable I've been to that Thrift Shop it's adorable... It brings you back to another time and place of nostalgia and history Where it All Began thank you for your beautiful tour
Aren't we lucky to live in such a lovely area @Gabrielle Budd ?
Enjoyed your stroll through the thrift shop. So many items I would have purchased if I were not so far away but I feel a weekend trip in the future to explore that sweet New England spot!
It'd be a fun trip for sure, lots of fun treasures to be found round here.
Loved the light show and your little stove.
Glad you enjoyed it
New subscriber here 😃I loved this little thrift store..if I lived nearby I would definately be shopping there..i love looking for anything vintage escpecially floral China, ironstone, jewelry.
I love those American houses! Beautiful place, wow! xx
Oh I love the little stove, it is darling. I have a pot belly stove possibly made by the same company.
Oh that's really neat, I'm still deciding if I want to cook on mine :) Just for fun.
What an amazing comment and thank you so much Yes I love to share my view and will happily continue to do so.
An absolutely delightful video! Your excitement over the little antique stove is contagious , and, your light show "rocks"!
Glad you enjoyed it
I look forward to watching the joy filled journey you share with all of us!
This was alot of fun, enjoyed very much. Thank You...e
Glad you enjoyed it
I loved everything about this!
Thank you for sharing New England with us.From Brazil.
It's my pleasure
Lovely, soothing video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, you too!
The little stove is so cute - what a find!!! Your vlogs are such a lovely escape for me after work - thank you X
You are so welcome! And I'm so happy I can be an escape :) Makes me feel so good.
I want to live there!!.
Oh, that's the nicest compliment @Carolyn Hamilton
I prefer your channel to the chateau’s. I loved going shopping with you. Such an exquisite shop. Love that it is volunteer run. Great findsz
What a great Thrift shop😊
It really is!
Thank you again @Brenda Mcgee :) Your comments make me feel so much joy.
I love all the scenery in your videos. Your voice is very relaxing also. I enjoy your channel 😊
Thank you so much!
Really enjoy your vlogs and outings, Donna! Thank you for taking us along! Can't wait to see your Christmas decor!
Thank you so much! I'm excited to start decorating you'll see that pop up in more vlogs coming up :)
No please don't cook in it.( just my opinion )
enjoy your beautiful sea even as the weather turns cold
Well, even tho you live in the area but can't get out, hopefully I can share a few more places with you as long as we are still a bit open @Linda Wilson I really like feeling I'm giving people a chance to 'get out' in a way :) I always go early and am often the only other customer in places :)
Donna you are very creative! Thank you for the video and thank you for sharing your beautiful spot by the sea
Thank you so much!
I wanted a little toy stove ,my husband bought me one like that it wasn’t what l wanted ,l think mine was repro ,l resold it in our antique shop l got a 50s one in the end which is the style l had when l was a child ,
I'm wondering if mine is from the 50's Either way, it's adorable and I love it.
I have a sale’s man sample stove but it is larger than yours. I really enjoyed today’s video. Keep bringing us on your travel’s please!
Oh that's interesting @Susanne Flaherty yes it seems mine might just be a vintage toy/deco maybe from the 50's? Either way I love it :)
You know I almost broke down and bought it myself the other day when I was in there again LOL, but I'm so happy it is going to you :) Thank you so much for watching and for helping to support our local Antique shops :) @JoLynn Puente
what a lovely story :)
I enjoy your vlogs 🥰
Thank you 😊
Hello Donna from snowy & cold Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 I have a small round iron woodstove which I was told is a Salesmans Sample.
I would have bought the stove too, I love it.
Good, I'm glad I keep looking at it and playing with it, so I think it was worth it :) @Holly Meyers
The mirror with the clipper ship is nice, butterfly vase too.
I almost bought the vase, it was only 10 dollars, can you believe that?! Might go back :)
That is so interesting I am beginning to think mine must be from the 50's too @Lindsey Crow.
Loved your choices at the thrift store, I would have picked the same. In the UK they are called charity shops.
Yes, I've been to a fair share of Charity shops in the UK too, hope I can go back again one day :)
Just back from visiting Barnstable and RT 6A. Love the CC thrift trail. Love your thrifting videos . Best of Luck with your rehabs !
Thank you! and I never get sick of shopping up and down 6A :)
I think I read in Little Men where Jo bought a toy stove for Daisy that you could cook on.
Love that book @Jodi Campbell
So cute
Thanks.
Fun day, love the intro music since my son plays the trumpet, too.🎺 So you got yourself your own little aga? 😂 Next a bonfire please!
I do fires pretty often especially this time of the year, so maybe I'll get one in this week ,we'll see @Arazhul :) Tho it might be more a 'campfire' than a bonfire, in size :)
I’d love to see if the miniature wood stove works!
Me too!
Prices are never too much if you absolutely love it 😀 ❤
So true!
@@DonnaDavisArt 🥰🥰
It is a an original salesman Woodstock product I have several that it's a very good price
OH wow that's great to know @hot Wheel man Raven :)
👍👍miniture stove
I love it
We have the miniature stove, bought at auction. Most likely a sales sample, brought in to show the families who were looking for a new stove.
That's what I thought as well, I'd love to light a little fire in it, probably will one day.
