Thanks to all who have listened and responded. Back room songwriters like myself rarely get to experience the appreciation given by listeners. It is a wonderful thing that you take the time to listen and comment. Cheers, Tom
great song!!!! Brings back some really insecure, lonely nights.........
I love this song so much I come by every now and then to listen.
What a great song!!!
Thank you for writing and recording this beautiful MASTERPIECE. Gives me chills, both Tina's version and yours. ❤
I also discovered your song through Tina Turner. I am of a certain age and oh my heart. Love this.
Thank you, Karla!
What a Beautiful song. Tom Snow wrote a fantastic song and sings it with great emotion.
Thank you, Luis. Very kind of you. Tom
here again...such a perfect song....
Listening to this song gives me that lonesome feeling.... I always thought it was specially written for Tina Turner in the early years of her come back. Now listening to this version, it just brought a whole new meaning. Great Song. Love it.
Thank you, Lee, for your kind words and for listening. A songwriter's dearest wish! Cheers, Tom
I thought this song was originally written for Tina Turner. I absolutely love the original just as much.
Thank you, Brennan. Quite an honor to have Tina record a song of mine. Glad you enjoyed! Tom
I'm 18 years old and I heard this song first sung by Tina Turner. I discovered that you wrote it. Thank you for making this amazing song!!
Thank you, Naomi, for your very kind words. It is always an honor to receive such a compliment. Cheers!
what a great Song.....
Jeff Porcaro! :) My favorite drummer. This is good
this album stands out as one of the strongest memories of my life!!! i was working at an FM radio station at Cornell and this was a featured late summer/fall '76. i still have my original vinyl...this has so so many memories...and i thing the music still stands strong. the tempo changes, great production, vocals...this is easily in my top 10 albums of all time!!!!
listening again tonight...40 years later and it sounds so perfect!
I see a lot of weird unknown stuff released on CD, or digitally, but great albums like this are ignored - A real Pity! One of my all time favorite 70s albums! thanks
Maybe the Best "unknown" LP I ever purchased - I actually bought several copies in case it went out of print. Top notch writing, great studio band, great performances, great guests,. just a real special album for me. I always had hope it would make to CD someday!
Wow! Was looking for Tina Turner rarities and found a Jeff Porcaro one. Thanks.
I don't care what anyone thinks. This version by Mr. Tony Snow is epic by my standards. I first heard this my junior year 1977 in California living on Vandenberg AFB. This version is (*****) star rating. Tonight Nov 20, 2017 @ 8:28pm is the 1st time I've gotten to hear this since 1977. O.M.G!!!!!!! Today's Technology does have it advantages when searching for real good music that define your past. Thank you RUclips.
Is this on Spotify?
Afraid not.Thanks for asking. Tom
DIdn't know Tina's version was just a cover!
Haha. A dream cover, nonetheless! Cheers, Tom
I always though Tina's version should've been an A side single instead of a throwaway B-side. Just curious, did you rec'd royalties from the sale of single even though it was used as a b-side?
Yes. I got mechanical royalties from sales of record. Not much in the way of airplay though. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
i have to share again
