Wow, indeed "lucky you" for Valerie's Angelic touch. Also "lucky Valerie" to be given such a touching, song, with great insights into life itself. Tom you outdid yourself on this great song. My wife shared it with our Sister In Law, who is lucky to be alive, after breaking (literally) every born in her body, including her skull in 4 places. She was not supposed to live, without being a vegetable if at all. After 2 years in Hospitalization for 7 brain surgeries, a few open heart surgeries, repairing with metal, the 4 breaks in each leg, ankles, arms in 3 places, sternum, spleen and pevlis. Did I miss any part of the human anatomy? Her fatal day was Dec. 7th "the day that shall forever live in infamy" FDR....We've both gone on to share this with as many people who will listen, to this Blessing IN Disguise you yourself blessed us all with Tom. Thank You....Gassho...!!!
Thank you, Robert. I'm always amazed by and grateful for comments like yours. When this song was coming out of me it felt a little like a prayer. I'm honored and humbled by your very kind words and to know that Blessings In Disguise has found its way into hearts and minds. I couldn't ask for more. Cheers and all the best for the Holidays.
nyg1954 It’s the demo done in my home studio. Sometimes the best performances are the unofficial ones. I prefer this version. Give me your email address and I’ll be happy to send you an MP3 of this version if you would like. Cheers. Tom
Two other of your songs(When The Blues Come To Call and I Wonder Why) are on the album and they're great but this one isn't. It's a wonderful album,as is Just A Stone's Throw Away. Always wondered why she didn't become a star.
@@TomSnowmrneige, I’m three years late to the conversation, but would you mind sending me the demo too? - If it’s okay to ask? I love, love this song! And this version is wonderful!
Beautiful song by a beautiful voice..Valerie Carter was the real thing.
