I remember back in the fifties and getting all worked up about rock and roll, Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, Bo Diddley, strangely I didn't connect with Elvis, still don't. My mom was distressed, said it was just a passing fad, would be over soon. Looking back, I can see how people her age were scared of the chaos of rock, having lived through WW 2 and all.
I was never a fan of today's hardcore, metal, fake punk rock... however, TURNSTILE IS OUTSTANDING! I stumbled upon this band just a few months ago, and I'm seriously in love. It's weird how that happens.

Going COMPLETELY FUCKING INSANE, in fact. After that, I went to as many All Ages as I could. Didn't serve alcohol, but all the kids were high anyway. They probably thought I was somebody's chaperone. Hahahahah!

It's a hardcore show. I played shows for kids like this back in the day. As I'm playing guitar, this kid runs from one side of the venue to the other, jumps in the air doing a spin while sticking his leg out and just crescent kicks someone in their face. It happens.
