Back in 1987, me and my best friend found a band called Red Hot Cilliil Peppers in Los Angeles. We would follow them from San Diego up to the Bay Area.
We would see them in clubs that had 150 people, colleges, small theaters, etc. We saw them 31 times over an eight year period.
I try to describe the ENERGY of the band back then, the crowd and the sets.
THIS video reminds me of it ALL. I wish you could have been there.
More importantly, I wish I could have been HERE!! What an amazing set and amazing crowd.
I’m 56 now and I’m a HUGE Turnstile fan. I watch every live video I can find.
My brothers and I saw Turnstile for the first time this year at No Values in Pomona. What an awesome show. The crowd was feeling it.
Unlike the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Turnstile is just as awesome today.

I’m 50 and a lifer in heavy music. IMO this band has the best feel over everything else out in the last decade.
yeah new turnstile lame as fuck saw them a while back and the show was fucking nuts saw them on their most recent u.s tour and the setlist and crowd was lame as fuck not to mention barriers.
Been to their show in 2017 and 2018 and it really doesnt get better than that ngl

There can 100% be fun pits and dancing without crowd kills and all that other ignorant shit. I've been doing this shit for a while now, shows are way funner when you don't have to worry about can't-hack-it JV rejects taking out their frustration on unsuspecting kids who are just trying to get down to the tunes.
