It just means your parents were more strict and mean. You didn’t deserve that but just because one person didn’t get the exact same treatment doesn’t mean they weren’t effected negatively.
You both weren’t treated the right way.

Something I nowadays see as one of the most important things my parents taught to me is "help yourself or else no one will help you". It is a sad truth but it IS the truth. There are way too many occasions in life during which you are struggling and suddenly you are all on your own. Thinking of how overly sheltered I grew up I am greatful that my parents at least tought me at least this little bit of information on how harsh life could become later on.

For anyone who, like me, thinks this video is way too long and doesn't get to the point quickly enough:
    10. You should respect both girls and boys. They are equal. (0:38)
    9. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. (2:07)
    8. Knowledge is more important than grades. (3:10)
    7. Your parents are not your enemies. You can ask them for help. (4:15)
    6. Always be ready to stand up for yourself. (5:09)
    5. Don't do something you don't like for someone's approval. (6:20)
    4. If you don't understand, ask questions. (7:30)
    3. Tell your teacher if you don't feel well. (8:16)
    2. Respect the environment. (8:54)
    1. Learn to say no. (9:41)

I find it sad how I had to teach myself these things without guidance or help. As I hung out with friends I noticed that they were living slightly different from me. They had parents that they could trust, and I had a sick father and aggressive mother. I learnt how to stick up for myself and learnt to be kind to each other because of experiencing bullying, and at the same time, learnt how to trust people. I learnt to say no after a time when 5 - 8 people would come around my street and ask me to go somewhere or do something idiotic. It only went in for 2 weeks or something ;-; the rest I just learnt easily

The first one about men and women being equal reminded me of a time when I was at church and I liked to climb this big rock. I was sitting on it when a boy's mom told me that "Girls don't climb". And I was a bit stunned but I got down cause I didn't want her to make a fuss at me. My friend's mother actually told my mom and it was clear she was bothered by what the woman told me as she was a very athletic woman and most likely would climb if she got the chance.

My sister and I never had a problem like trying to respect a teacher or having trust issues with our parents since we were both homeschooled in fact she and I were taught in Homeschool to just do our best and not worry about anything and since we belonged to a Homeschool group our parents told us to just get along as best we could with the other children in the Homeschool group which was extremely easy because we didn't see the other kids but maybe twice or thrice a month when we did reports or field trips or park days other than that we kept to our small family/class room we were taught to respect our parents who were also our teachers but that anyone who wasn't respectful to our parents or us were did not need to be respected by us. And it has made life very easy for my sister and me.

Here's another: Teach your kids to tell an adult of some kind if they are being bullied or otherwise hurt or see someone else being bullied or otherwise hurt. And make sure you take action yourself(not just make the school do it) if your kid is being bullied, especially if the school isn't doing anything about it.
This whole culture that exists of not being a "snitch" is just harmful to children and is the reason why bullying gets perpetuated.

When a kid tries to avoid you when they did something wrong, then they're both embarrassed about their mistake and afraid you overreact. I know it from my personal experience.

It's important to learn to set boundaries and assert oneself, which is sometimes overlooked in modern parenting. Children benefit from experiencing both masculine and feminine energy. There are moments when offering comfort and reassurance by holding their hand and providing encouragement is beneficial. However, there are also times when it's important to encourage them to be resilient and face challenges with bravery, while using appropriate language and tone. It's essential to strike a balance and adapt parenting approaches based on the specific situation and the needs of the child.

School is the worst place to learn considering that everyone is either immature, or annoying, teachers punish thy who didn't do nothing, maybe because another student ruined something and the whole class or you suffered the consequences. I guess it just depends on the school, BUT hey thats just a theory, a game theory

Yes, but the girls (for example the ones in an average class), seem to believe that they can slap you without expecting retaliation. When they get retaliation, they cry and cry and notify the teacher that they didn't do anything and that you attacked them. This is a common occurrence.

I was the weird lazy artistic best friend of the A+-student who usually sat alone in the hallways doodling geeky fanart or writing fanfictions and who was apparently fun to bully, mainly for liking Pokémon(that is until the bullies realized I fit into the stereotype of someone who'd start a school shooting and got scared, even though I'm way too peaceful and scared to ever do anything like that and got no simple way to get any guns anyways since I'm from a country with gun control :P It was nice to have them scared into stopping their bullying without me actually having to do anything though XD)

I was also kinda weird because I wasn't "up to date" with everything, but a bunch of kids thought I was a "potential school shooter" too, because I didn't talk much and I wore black and grey all the time. High school was gr8 ~u~

Wish every parent taught these important morals, being nice to all your classmates, if you don't understand something just ask a question, question everything (including the parents themselves. Even the late great George Carlin made a point of this). Also wish my dad was more like #7: Instead of yelling over an honest mistake and labeling as deliberate rather then finding a constructive and healthy way to sort things out.
