With drop rates increasing all the time, it's easier than ever to get, and I think most people do it, its the 3rd most popular dungeon in the game now, after Catacombs and Darkmoor.
This just tells me you dont follow dialogue at all. We use the sword of kings in khrysalis. In lore our weapon or wand is the sword of kings and in lore was used against Morganthe

Then they nerfed him to 8k i believe and it took me a frost giant to wipe them all. Felt so anti climactic but still Dragonspyre was a great world.
Also, Morganthe was actually talked about in a lot of Celestia, about her army and such along with the story of the Celestians. We were told about her and could make some sort of an image, but we just don't see her in person until the Solarium.

You can still do it and it acts like that's where you get the key, but honestly it's super pointless, tedious without a high-level group, and just barely discusses Morganthe. Because no one really does it anymore as a necessity (I've done it on like one character bc I do all side quests on him) most people are just left in the dark, sadly. Sucks bc Celestia just ends up being really boring both before and after doing that quest.

My favorite is Polaris. I love how it is French/Russian revolution themed, love snow, and the ice block reminds of Crash Bandicoot. I agree with you about its length. I have often though too that it should have been longer, as it's really such a beautiful and dynamic world.
The celestia story changed midway. It was about helping the marleybonians from the crustacean empire and then the engineer you meet at the start, the black female dog, talks about you helping them even more explore the secrets of celestia for the museum in marleybone. or that was my interpretation. Then they figure out morganthe is the one controlling the crustacean empire and attacking random civilians, so you were put to stop her. The story in celestia made sense because everything lead up to her at the last moment. The last dungeon, the trial of the spheres, was about uncovering the celestia lore itself for the marleybonians.

Tbh celestia has the same underlying problem as krokotopia a monarchy invading a world/ total other civilization for their benefit infecting the colonies and taking rule and when something goes wrong oh lets call the wizard to fix our problems even though they’ve gotten themselves into the mess. For fuck sake in krok there is a side quest where one of the manders wants you to ask one of the dogs to stop looking at him for being a purple mander( the quest is by the mander close to the tomb of storms)
Once you get to the drum jungle I felt like it was just a completely different storyline, like the beginning of zafaria takes a 180 when you hit that point. It was weird.
The main storyline of Krokotopia is kinda confusing and bland, like you said I wish they had cleared out the plot holes. But I loved the side quest storyline about the Manders. It seemed more substantial to me than the Krokomonicon thing. You befriend multiple Mander NPCs and learn their stories, and it’s rewarding to know you helped free them lol.

I really enjoyed the story of Wysteria, however, I don't think it suits the game for many reasons. First off, you know that whatever you do you are going to win the tournament. Second, the tournament's duels were way too easy for the hype they received. And third, you could always do the duels with the help of someone, which doesn't make sense because it's a 1v1 tournament. To be honest, I think I just really like tournament arcs lol.
What they need to do is write all the scripts and compile them into a Wizard101 book series. That way we can read the story and get immersed outside of the game in case we missed any bit of story or dialogue along the way.
yes Khrysalis is my favorite story line! it is so epic and really builds up to the final battle of the second arc. I always read through the dialogue to get lost in the story. It's worth it and makes the long world enjoyable
I can’t even remember the story since it’s been so long since I played it, but I just remember having the most fun with Wysteria. I was a huge fan of the parallels to Wizard City and the idea of a rival school. The Life Professor being evil at the end (like how our death professor turned evil) was also really fun for me. Loving your channel, motivating me to hop back on!
Oh and the reason the dialogue doesn't mention the name Morganthe/ show her until the final area in celestia is because it was set up/ written like that long before they removed that pre quest I mentioned about down below. Knowing the pre quest puts a whole new perspective on the dialogue. They say shadow queen a lot but you wouldn't know what her name is if you hadn't done that pre quest. Hope that answers that question.
Wanna know what I find ironic about arc 2? The most favored worlds have the worst stories (CL, ZF, AV). Celestia is confusing af. We don't even realize wtf we're doing there until the very, VERY end. Even then, Morganthe's introduction was SOOOO cliche. ZF is a simple cat/mouse story riddled with pointless inconveniences (D&C) and horrendous pacing! You can cut half the world and you wouldn't change a thing. Avalon is very similar to to ZF but instead of a cat/mouse story, it's a hide and seek story. "OOOHHH actually, the sword of kings is over here...o wait it's actually here...and so on." The "payoff" of AV is a wand we will never, EVER use. Even the Sky Iron Hasta is better! A level 30 wand is better than a level 70 wand and that is insane to me. As for Azteca and Khrysalis, they have 2 of the best stories in the game, but due to their length and annoying battles, they are by far 2 of the most hated worlds in the game.
prob already saw but there was a prequest that was removed after awhile. one of the best quests in the game and gave alot of insight and set up the entire second arc.
Really like Khrysalis, as for Azteca, the snaillike pacing ( caused by lack of insanely high enemy HP and lack of a corresponding damage buff until halfway through the world) completely ruined it.
Pigswick was their attempt at a "goblet of fire" storyline. If only they scaled the levels a bit higher and made the story a little bit more in depth. The twist of the life teacher being the evil guy was the only cool part. Because 1. He acted like Drake, and I always expected drake to be a villain eventually but never did. It seemed almost too obvious. This time they went for it. 2. It was kind of obv but a cool twist that the main villain for us at wizar central was the death teacher. But for Pigswick, it was the life teacher. Although kind of a cop out having him be controlled by a tree man that we never heard of before lol
I think Celestia had the weakest story in the game because while Zafaria's was definitely weak, at least we knew what we were there for the entire time. Celestia just kind of threw us into an underwater bowl and waited until the last dungeons of the world to tell us what was actually going on. Or maybe I'm just hating on the Celestia
Nah it I hated celestia too. It took me 2 months to finish cause I was just so bored, mostly cause its basically the first world you get to after the big climax with malistaire and they bring you to a world which is just boring and the story just goes nowhere really.
well kingsisle took out the intro story to celestia and it makes the whole plotline so much btter, AwesomeTheSauce made a video on it iirc THIS DUNGEON MADE ME QUIT W101 or some sht like that.
Khrysalis is the best and I'm so glad I finally found somebody appreciating it. I actually love how long it is and I get to stay there the longest. those who hate it - sorry :P
I'd say my favorite in terms of storyline is almost a toss up between Khrysalis and Empyrea, but the Orbs side quest pushes Khrysalis to the top without a doubt
I think the problem with Krok is how little impact the Tuts made on the story. Krokenkamen, Krokhotep, and Krokopatra are like...perfect villains for the world, and Krokopatra is LITERALLY the Queen of the Tuts. but how they're executed is just...atrocious. They're just...there. Also I wouldn't say the Wizards lost in that world. Quite the opposite. Krokopatra had the Krokonomicon placed in a sarcophagus so no one would take it. It's more of a win for the Wizards because the Dogs took it to Marleybone and Talbot sent the Wizards to get it. I mean...even though Malistaire ended up getting it by the end of the world, anyway.
I'd love to be able to read the dialogue and find out the story behind the world I'm in. Too bad I'm forced to skip through it in order to keep up with the people I'm trying to quest with.
keep uwu-ing back in the day i was too young to know how to progress so after my membership i probably made like so many wizards and did city like 100 times so its nostalgic but i hate doing it again lol. Dragonspyre will ALWAYS be my favorite world.. I love dragons, lava, apocalyptic worlds, the sky, everything!!! No matter where you were outside, you could look up at the dragon titan and it was amazing to me! I'm very patient for a graphic revamp, but once it gets that I will love the world even more! I love listening to the ost and the idea of a militaristic world once rivalling wizard city is so good

@@keiibo9006 i just finished wintertusk and it had the same issue , the frost giant sons had around 2k 3k hp except for nordri he had 6k i believe but all it took us is a frost giant and dragon to clear them.
Celestia was one of those stories or chapters in a season of a series where they start off with the main character helping people fix things, when suddenly a major villain and conflict appears and you realize "Oh shit, you have to stop them!"
I believe we go to krokotopia bc we discovered that malistare went there to find the Krokonomicon and we needed the aid of the order to find it, which is why we went to the pyrimad. the sphynx was reforming the order and defeating one of its former members bc he betrayed them to serve under krokopatra after the reawakening and he leads us to the temple and through the defense, since he set them up, and we discover after defeating krokopatra that the book we seek was in either her or a random sarcophagus, which was sent to marleybone, and we head there after.
When you said, "unless you're skipping ahead like a little bitch", I smiled because I'm going through your selections and initial reasoning while im waiting for Wiz to load XD. If I still played on a box computer that loads Wiz in 10 minutes, I'd actually watch this through and through I promise.
In my opinion Avalon was the world with the worst storyline. We literally just went there to get the Sword of Kings which would supposedly help us defeat Morganthe's deck of shadows. But not once was the Sword of Kings mentioned again in a non-joking manner. Yeah I get that that's where we learned about Morganthe's past, but they could have just waited and saved all that lore for Radiance Reborn in Khrysalis.
To answer your question on why you go to celestia. It is to rescue thursten plunket, which was mentioned with far greater detail in an ex main quest. The ex main quest leads you to a level 50 dungeon in marleybone which was very difficult at the time. That same dungeon used to be required before you could access celestia. The ex main quest did a very good job of merging arcs 1 and 2 into a grey area of transition in terms of story. I thought when celestia first came out that it was merely an extension of the story. I had no idea at the time there would be 5 more worlds. To explain on this further, you first get called to the storm school with a request to translate some incripted message which was said to originate from celestia. Originally, you have no knowledge about morganthe but later learn what the message says. Curious, Professor Balestrome asks you to translate this lost message. You find out that no one can decipher it but learn of an object that can. This object is called the stone of mazzaroth. Once the message is deciphered, you learn that it is a distress signal. It is from Balestromes old collegue who says the shadow queen has invaded, and asks for help. WHen you tell Balestrom of this he asks you to go get the key for celestia. Unfortunately it is heald by evil agents heald in a tower in Marleybone. Once you defeat them you return to Balestrome and complete the quest. Then it resumes with a summons to mearle ambrose. Merle says, "now that the spiral key to celestia is restored you can enter it." So basically there is little to no context behind why you go after they retconned/ made the quest I just mentioned an Ex main quest. I say that because you can just skip it now because people complained about it being too hard or too long of a world entry quest. Even so, it has later generations forget the details and real importance of why you go to celestia. Let me know if you knew about that. Hope that answers your question.
Yea I did know about this beforehand, but I just assumed it wasn't part of the lore anymore since, like you said, it's an ex-main quest. So yea it was a bit of a gray area and it still is I suppose.
Fun fact: The story of Darkmoor (at least where it relates to Count Shane von Shane) is heavily based on the story of Count Strahd von Zarovich and his home of Castle Ravenloft (which Darkmoor has a suspiciously similar layout to). The book "I, Strahd, Memoirs of a Vampire" is one of the best versions of Strahd's story. Alternatively, become a Dungeons and Dragons player and ask your DM to run the "Curse of Strahd" campaign.
Oh and I have a question. If you get 1,000 subscribers this year, would you consider doing a full game walkthrough. I have seen your channel blow up a lot and I think a lot more people would come to see another walkthrough. There aren't as many of those as you'd think. I know you're doing a pirate 101 walkthrough. From worst to best its Krok, Marley, Wysteria, Wizard City, Dragonspyre, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Wintertusk, Mirage, Polaris, Azteca , EmpyreA then Khrysalis.( I just finished the game the fourth time just a few weeks ago and I read dialogue)
Because teaming up with dog Sherlock Holmes to stop cat Moriarty and French Jack the Ripper is honestly much more pleasant that fighting rhinos 27 times just to save a couple of damn students.
I really liked mirage; the gorgeous open areas, the music, all of it. But I do think the story is overshadowed by Empyrea. On the bright side, we finally got to see the origin world of the efreet, the best spell in the game.
I’ll forever be haunted by the fact that the whole reason you go to Celestia was explained in a quest that they REMOVED because… the boss at the end was too hard? When they could’ve just nerfed the boss? It was such a great quest that eased you into the next arc slowly and gave you everything you needed to know (and also added a challenging new dungeon) but now it’s all gone so you go there with zero context. Now the dungeon (Spiral Geographic Society) I believe is only accessible to old wizards who completed the original quest before it was removed.
I completely agree that Khrysalis has the best storyline and overall it’s in my top 3 worlds for that reason. Even though it’s really long, it’s such a beautiful world. It’s so alien-like but in a good way, the music is phenomenal. And then there’s us where we take over Khrysalis, area by area, liberating it’s original inhabitants from Morganthes shadow. We also restore the astral magic while learning shadow. Until we finally corner Morganthe and avenge every single person she ever killed or every world she made suffer. Will always defend khrysalis against the haters
i didnt like the oasis mainly because it took a while for me to do and most of it was in dark places which just made me sad XD but i loved mooshus story line. Also grizzleheim was so boring and took forever for me to finish mainly because of bordeom.

That's fair enough, it's been a little while since I've ran through all the worlds so yea I get that. My knowledge isn't the best sometimes but at the end of the day I upload videos that I enjoy making.
The best world is wizard city, why? Cause everyone started this game out as a kid and back then you just sat there and listen to everyone explain everything. You also heard dialogue. No one was trying to increase that apm by smashing their space bar with their forehead. You actually knew what people sounded like and knew who they were.
Maybe you can do a full W101 main storyline video? Or a series of videos? I can't seem to find one from anyone. After all of the side quests, I've forgotten a lot of the main storyline. Anyway, thanks for this video.
Wysteria could’ve been like about the professors of wizard city’s childhood and how they came to be cuz Ive always been interested in their past and how the school was formed instead of the tournament. like you made me tour all those classrooms and for what. I also hated the superintendent like damn since your wysteria is so much better then why cant yall solve a simple problem then. Idk it wouldve been a perfect to see wysteria as like the future wizard city instead of that boring tournament. But then again I don’t remember anything about the storylines since I don’t have the patience to wait and just want to level up lol.
After Maliastare was defeated in Dragonspyre, we as the players get to defeat him in Darkmoor again to get our first shadow spells when Maliastare provoked the laws of Darkmoor or whatever laws it was.
The problem with Khrysalis is the last fight. 5 worlds of build up, amazing plot twists, Old Cob's cutscene and then there's that last fight. A squeezed low res close-up of her trash talking and a really easy battle compared to literally the dungeon right before hers. No cheats, no nothing, she only gained 2 pips per turn instead of one and forced you to use shrike instead of prisms to hit. Pretty lame to say the least
Tbh before zf I’ve done it so much I hate playing those worlds. I hate zf it’s the color scheme, bad story, and drop quests. Avalon plus it’s pretty fun and an experience ( except khrsalisis I wanted to die )

Empyrea is obviously a spoof of Star Trek, that's why it's "all over the place". Agree about Wisteria. Why establish a second set of magic schools if we can't learn them or use them to boost our spells?
I think the point of celestia is being mysterious, just like it's music and areas and the celestians themselves because it's a lost world and marleybonians didn't know much about it , but there should definitely be a part 2 to explore it's history up until the storm titan sunk it.

@@spacetofu5306 I didn't mind Azteca. I liked it much more than Zafaria. But honestly I can see why people didn't like it. I was confused and I was crying when I couldn't save Azteca though. Probably one of the reasons why I liked Azteca because it had a bad ending. It wasn't all happy and jolly and everything was fine in the end. But we still moved/walked forward. The citizens of the world are doing everything they can to keep moving and pressing on even though it won't ever be the same.
Krokotopia has a real motive at first you are trying to find the Order of the Fang who are the ones who wrote the Krokonomicon. When you arrive you also learn Malistaire reawakened the tuts who enslaved the Mander race in the past and were put into a slumber by the Order of the Fang. The whole Pyramid sequence to learn the Orders secret meeting spot to try to get them to tell you where they hid the Krokonomicon to get it before Malistaire. Once you reach the Krokophinx you are gaining the orders trust so they will tell you the location then you learn one of the orders member stole the book which is why they resorted to putting the tuts to sleep. finally after killing the guy who betrayed them his ghost realized his mistake and helps you stop Krokopatra who he gave the book to before the great sleep. Theres actually plenty of clear goals its just your goal is changing you are more trying to find the Order of the Fang but you learn the book was stolen. I do agree its kinda annoying it ends up being "Oh we already took the coffin to Marleybone" Again the Pyramid section was because the Pyramid had the secret hiding spot of the Order of the Fang hidden in the Palace's Map Room.
Those that spacebar spam truly are missing out on a quality story, I mean you only have to listen on one wiz.... then you have 6 others to spam away on lol
Zafaria's story is overshadowed by the fact that i just want to get out of there as FAST AS POSSIBLE

yes Khrysalis is my favorite story line! it is so epic and really builds up to the final battle of the second arc. I always read through the dialogue to get lost in the story. It's worth it and makes the long world enjoyable

I didn't really get the story for Zafaria but I just like the vibe of Zafaria
I can’t even remember the story since it’s been so long since I played it, but I just remember having the most fun with Wysteria. I was a huge fan of the parallels to Wizard City and the idea of a rival school. The Life Professor being evil at the end (like how our death professor turned evil) was also really fun for me.

Oh and the reason the dialogue doesn't mention the name Morganthe/ show her until the final area in celestia is because it was set up/ written like that long before they removed that pre quest I mentioned about down below. Knowing the pre quest puts a whole new perspective on the dialogue. They say shadow queen a lot but you wouldn't know what her name is if you hadn't done that pre quest. Hope that answers that question.

The dungeon is still in my for the prequest for cl it was very hard to beat at the time but man was it fun
Wanna know what I find ironic about arc 2? The most favored worlds have the worst stories (CL, ZF, AV). Celestia is confusing af. We don't even realize wtf we're doing there until the very, VERY end. Even then, Morganthe's introduction was SOOOO cliche. ZF is a simple cat/mouse story riddled with pointless inconveniences (D&C) and horrendous pacing! You can cut half the world and you wouldn't change a thing. Avalon is very similar to to ZF but instead of a cat/mouse story, it's a hide and seek story. "OOOHHH actually, the sword of kings is over here...o wait it's actually here...and so on." The "payoff" of AV is a wand we will never, EVER use. Even the Sky Iron Hasta is better! A level 30 wand is better than a level 70 wand and that is insane to me.
As for Azteca and Khrysalis, they have 2 of the best stories in the game, but due to their length and annoying battles, they are by far 2 of the most hated worlds in the game.
prob already saw but there was a prequest that was removed after awhile. one of the best quests in the game and gave alot of insight and set up the entire second arc.
Really like Khrysalis, as for Azteca, the snaillike pacing ( caused by lack of insanely high enemy HP and lack of a corresponding damage buff until halfway through the world) completely ruined it.
Pigswick was their attempt at a "goblet of fire" storyline. If only they scaled the levels a bit higher and made the story a little bit more in depth. The twist of the life teacher being the evil guy was the only cool part. Because 1. He acted like Drake, and I always expected drake to be a villain eventually but never did. It seemed almost too obvious. This time they went for it. 2. It was kind of obv but a cool twist that the main villain for us at wizar central was the death teacher. But for Pigswick, it was the life teacher. Although kind of a cop out having him be controlled by a tree man that we never heard of before lol
I would change the position of mirage though, in that world we go after one of the most important possessions in the game, Bartelbys eye.

I think Celestia had the weakest story in the game because while Zafaria's was definitely weak, at least we knew what we were there for the entire time. Celestia just kind of threw us into an underwater bowl and waited until the last dungeons of the world to tell us what was actually going on. Or maybe I'm just hating on the Celestia

Nah it I hated celestia too. It took me 2 months to finish cause I was just so bored, mostly cause its basically the first world you get to after the big climax with malistaire and they bring you to a world which is just boring and the story just goes nowhere really.

I'd say my favorite in terms of storyline is almost a toss up between Khrysalis and Empyrea, but the Orbs side quest pushes Khrysalis to the top without a doubt

I think the problem with Krok is how little impact the Tuts made on the story. Krokenkamen, Krokhotep, and Krokopatra are like...perfect villains for the world, and Krokopatra is LITERALLY the Queen of the Tuts. but how they're executed is just...atrocious. They're just...there.
Also I wouldn't say the Wizards lost in that world. Quite the opposite. Krokopatra had the Krokonomicon placed in a sarcophagus so no one would take it. It's more of a win for the Wizards because the Dogs took it to Marleybone and Talbot sent the Wizards to get it. I mean...even though Malistaire ended up getting it by the end of the world, anyway.
I'd love to be able to read the dialogue and find out the story behind the world I'm in. Too bad I'm forced to skip through it in order to keep up with the people I'm trying to quest with.

Dragonspyre will ALWAYS be my favorite world.. I love dragons, lava, apocalyptic worlds, the sky, everything!!! No matter where you were outside, you could look up at the dragon titan and it was amazing to me! I'm very patient for a graphic revamp, but once it gets that I will love the world even more! I love listening to the ost and the idea of a militaristic world once rivalling wizard city is so good

@@keiibo9006 i just finished wintertusk and it had the same issue , the frost giant sons had around 2k 3k hp except for nordri he had 6k i believe but all it took us is a frost giant and dragon to clear them.
Celestia was one of those stories or chapters in a season of a series where they start off with the main character helping people fix things, when suddenly a major villain and conflict appears and you realize "Oh shit, you have to stop them!"
I believe we go to krokotopia bc we discovered that malistare went there to find the Krokonomicon and we needed the aid of the order to find it, which is why we went to the pyrimad. the sphynx was reforming the order and defeating one of its former members bc he betrayed them to serve under krokopatra after the reawakening and he leads us to the temple and through the defense, since he set them up, and we discover after defeating krokopatra that the book we seek was in either her or a random sarcophagus, which was sent to marleybone, and we head there after.
When you said, "unless you're skipping ahead like a little bitch", I smiled because I'm going through your selections and initial reasoning while im waiting for Wiz to load XD. If I still played on a box computer that loads Wiz in 10 minutes, I'd actually watch this through and through I promise.

It’s always been crazy to me that you execute Prince Krokhotep, turn his head into a furniture piece, then help his ghost in that storm tomb. Wow.
In my opinion Avalon was the world with the worst storyline. We literally just went there to get the Sword of Kings which would supposedly help us defeat Morganthe's deck of shadows. But not once was the Sword of Kings mentioned again in a non-joking manner. Yeah I get that that's where we learned about Morganthe's past, but they could have just waited and saved all that lore for Radiance Reborn in Khrysalis.

To answer your question on why you go to celestia. It is to rescue thursten plunket, which was mentioned with far greater detail in an ex main quest. The ex main quest leads you to a level 50 dungeon in marleybone which was very difficult at the time. That same dungeon used to be required before you could access celestia. The ex main quest did a very good job of merging arcs 1 and 2 into a grey area of transition in terms of story. I thought when celestia first came out that it was merely an extension of the story. I had no idea at the time there would be 5 more worlds. To explain on this further, you first get called to the storm school with a request to translate some incripted message which was said to originate from celestia. Originally, you have no knowledge about morganthe but later learn what the message says. Curious, Professor Balestrome asks you to translate this lost message. You find out that no one can decipher it but learn of an object that can. This object is called the stone of mazzaroth. Once the message is deciphered, you learn that it is a distress signal. It is from Balestromes old collegue who says the shadow queen has invaded, and asks for help. WHen you tell Balestrom of this he asks you to go get the key for celestia. Unfortunately it is heald by evil agents heald in a tower in Marleybone. Once you defeat them you return to Balestrome and complete the quest. Then it resumes with a summons to mearle ambrose. Merle says, "now that the spiral key to celestia is restored you can enter it." So basically there is little to no context behind why you go after they retconned/ made the quest I just mentioned an Ex main quest. I say that because you can just skip it now because people complained about it being too hard or too long of a world entry quest. Even so, it has later generations forget the details and real importance of why you go to celestia. Let me know if you knew about that. Hope that answers your question.
Yea I did know about this beforehand, but I just assumed it wasn't part of the lore anymore since, like you said, it's an ex-main quest. So yea it was a bit of a gray area and it still is I suppose.
Avalon is literally just a giant wild goose chase for a weapon we literally never use because it’s never brought up again

The story of Darkmoor (at least where it relates to Count Shane von Shane) is heavily based on the story of Count Strahd von Zarovich and his home of Castle Ravenloft (which Darkmoor has a suspiciously similar layout to). The book "I, Strahd, Memoirs of a Vampire" is one of the best versions of Strahd's story. Alternatively, become a Dungeons and Dragons player and ask your DM to run the "Curse of Strahd" campaign.

From worst to best its Krok, Marley, Wysteria, Wizard City, Dragonspyre, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Wintertusk, Mirage, Polaris, Azteca , EmpyreA then Khrysalis.( I just finished the game the fourth time just a few weeks ago and I read dialogue)
Because teaming up with dog Sherlock Holmes to stop cat Moriarty and French Jack the Ripper is honestly much more pleasant that fighting rhinos 27 times just to save a couple of damn students.
Khrysalis has the best story. Mirage has a nice story but it's slow paced and not well structured.

I really liked mirage; the gorgeous open areas, the music, all of it. But I do think the story is overshadowed by Empyrea. On the bright side, we finally got to see the origin world of the efreet, the best spell in the game.

I’ll forever be haunted by the fact that the whole reason you go to Celestia was explained in a quest that they REMOVED because… the boss at the end was too hard? When they could’ve just nerfed the boss? It was such a great quest that eased you into the next arc slowly and gave you everything you needed to know (and also added a challenging new dungeon) but now it’s all gone so you go there with zero context. Now the dungeon (Spiral Geographic Society) I believe is only accessible to old wizards who completed the original quest before it was removed.
I completely agree that Khrysalis has the best storyline and overall it’s in my top 3 worlds for that reason. Even though it’s really long, it’s such a beautiful world. It’s so alien-like but in a good way, the music is phenomenal. And then there’s us where we take over Khrysalis, area by area, liberating it’s original inhabitants from Morganthes shadow. We also restore the astral magic while learning shadow. Until we finally corner Morganthe and avenge every single person she ever killed or every world she made suffer. Will always defend khrysalis against the haters
The final cutscene in Darkmoor has almost made me cry before, it's too much!

i didnt like the oasis mainly because it took a while for me to do and most of it was in dark places which just made me sad XD but i loved mooshus story line. Also grizzleheim was so boring and took forever for me to finish mainly because of bordeom.

The best world is wizard city, why? Cause everyone started this game out as a kid and back then you just sat there and listen to everyone explain everything. You also heard dialogue. No one was trying to increase that apm by smashing their space bar with their forehead. You actually knew what people sounded like and knew who they were.
Maybe unpopular opinion: The third arc's individual storylines were terrible. The best storyline and world is Khrysalis, no competition.
Azteca started so slow but it really picked up at the end I really enjoyed it towards the end

All i remember about wysteria was the teaser of mirage from that one person fighting in the cup.
Wysteria could’ve been like about the professors of wizard city’s childhood and how they came to be cuz Ive always been interested in their past and how the school was formed instead of the tournament. like you made me tour all those classrooms and for what. I also hated the superintendent like damn since your wysteria is so much better then why cant yall solve a simple problem then. Idk it wouldve been a perfect to see wysteria as like the future wizard city instead of that boring tournament. But then again I don’t remember anything about the storylines since I don’t have the patience to wait and just want to level up lol.
After Maliastare was defeated in Dragonspyre, we as the players get to defeat him in Darkmoor again to get our first shadow spells when Maliastare provoked the laws of Darkmoor or whatever laws it was.
The problem with Khrysalis is the last fight. 5 worlds of build up, amazing plot twists, Old Cob's cutscene and then there's that last fight. A squeezed low res close-up of her trash talking and a really easy battle compared to literally the dungeon right before hers. No cheats, no nothing, she only gained 2 pips per turn instead of one and forced you to use shrike instead of prisms to hit. Pretty lame to say the least
Tbh before zf I’ve done it so much I hate playing those worlds. I hate zf it’s the color scheme, bad story, and drop quests. Avalon plus it’s pretty fun and an experience ( except khrsalisis I wanted to die )

I think the point of celestia is being mysterious, just like it's music and areas and the celestians themselves because it's a lost world and marleybonians didn't know much about it , but there should definitely be a part 2 to explore it's history up until the storm titan sunk it.
The azteca ending always me sad because it really had to end like that :(.

@@spacetofu5306 I didn't mind Azteca. I liked it much more than Zafaria. But honestly I can see why people didn't like it. I was confused and I was crying when I couldn't save Azteca though. Probably one of the reasons why I liked Azteca because it had a bad ending. It wasn't all happy and jolly and everything was fine in the end. But we still moved/walked forward. The citizens of the world are doing everything they can to keep moving and pressing on even though it won't ever be the same.

Krokotopia has a real motive at first you are trying to find the Order of the Fang who are the ones who wrote the Krokonomicon. When you arrive you also learn Malistaire reawakened the tuts who enslaved the Mander race in the past and were put into a slumber by the Order of the Fang. The whole Pyramid sequence to learn the Orders secret meeting spot to try to get them to tell you where they hid the Krokonomicon to get it before Malistaire. Once you reach the Krokophinx you are gaining the orders trust so they will tell you the location then you learn one of the orders member stole the book which is why they resorted to putting the tuts to sleep. finally after killing the guy who betrayed them his ghost realized his mistake and helps you stop Krokopatra who he gave the book to before the great sleep. Theres actually plenty of clear goals its just your goal is changing you are more trying to find the Order of the Fang but you learn the book was stolen. I do agree its kinda annoying it ends up being "Oh we already took the coffin to Marleybone"
Again the Pyramid section was because the Pyramid had the secret hiding spot of the Order of the Fang hidden in the Palace's Map Room.
