LG Fridge Filter LT1000P Won’t Go On, Free DIY Tool!

Follow along this short video as I find an easy fix to my Fridge filter woes.
My LT1000P filter replacement refused to go on. Before I returned it to Amazon I stumbled on the fix and added my own tiny improvement.

Then I decided to RUclips it and found both yours and the other video. I had to sacrifice one of my new filters to create the tool as my old filter was too tweaked from me trying to force it. So many people have had this issue....BAD DESIGN, LG! Thanks for posting your shorter version...and yes, filing the tabs takes way too long. I used my bench grinder - a couple of seconds on each side ;)
