This was so beautiful and peaceful to watch! I enjoyed what this bc it sets realistic expectations for myself when learning. Like Doing 3 minutes of a video took an hour and a half. That’s really cool.

bonjour, je m'appelle Yuri et je parle trois langues : anglais, portugais et français. Le portugais est ma langue maternelle, alors que j'ai appris les deux autres par moi-même avec des mécanismes différents. Peut-être que je peux contribuer à votre chaîne avec mon expérience d'apprentissage. De plus, je suis dans ma quatrième année de médecine, ce qui a posé des défis à la routine et à la discipline. Si intéressé, faites le moi savoir :)

Very interesting, I'd never seen anyone do it this way before. Back starting Japanese I used to do something similar with Duolingo, just trying to write out the answers by hand, and it definitely improved my writing, if not my Japanese. The app Speakly also has similar exercises for French which I've found both useful and disturbing (the number of times I realise I am completely mishearing some words).

To be honest, I have not even had an idea to do dictation in my target language! I do dictation in my mother tongue, but I have never thought it works with my learning language as well... I'm going to attempt it with my English! I would like to say I have found a new word thanks to you; I mean about 'to plateau". A bunch of thanks! In addition, could you please tell me about the benefits of doing dictation? I am looking foward to, know it!

Writing down Japanese for learners who are native Chinese speakers definitely create synapses that connect Sino-Japanese vocab to the already existing Chinese knowledge, which unlocks and strengthens tons of words and grammar. It's just like another Chinese dialect in a way.
