  • Come Wander With Me by Bonnie Beecher
I edited it from the original episode of the Twilight Zone episode 34 season 5. The lyrics will be in the pinned comment below. Also I’m sorry if it sounds a little choppy in some parts; I tried to cut out all the talking and stuff though. I didn’t add as much of the humming that was in the episode bc it was like three minutes of the same tune over and over so i cut most of it out. And I listened to this same song by other ppl and the humming was like half the song so I just took a lot of it out. Although I did add some of it in the background. The last little part of singing suddenly cut off bc Floyd screamed or something like that so I add the humming to ease into the end of the song. I really enjoyed making this so I hope you like it.

This song is a masterpiece. I love this twilight zone episode. Bonnie Beecher’s voice is angelic and haunting at the same time.

I just noticed a clever detail. You know how every part of the song comes true kind of? Well the first verse goes "he said come wander with me love" but when he repeats it, it's just "come wander with me love" which is what the song said he'd say. So him repeating it was part of the song coming true.

Well...that was the whole point of the song and the storyline.

    Mary Rachel:
    *humming*
    He said
    Come wander with me love
    Come wander with me
    Away from this sad world
    Come wander with me
    He came from the sunset
    he came from the sea
    He came from my sorrow
    And can love only me
Floyd: Come wander with me love
    Come wander with me
    Away from this sad world
    Come wander with me
    *humming*
    Mary Rachel:
    Oh where is the wanderer
    Who wandered this way
    he’s passed off his wondering
    And will never go away
    Come wander with me love
    Come wander with me
    Away from this sad world
    Come wander with me
He sang of a sweet love
    Of dreams that would be
But I was sworn to another
    And could never be free
    The Rayford were brothers
    4 men tall and bold
And for one I was chosen
    With my love still untold
    They heard of the wanderer
    They heard he loved me
    You killed Billy Rayford
    Bespoke unto me
Struck him down in his anger
    ‘Neath an old willow tree
By the lake where our love dwelled
    ‘Neath an old willow tree
    You killed Billy Rayford
    ‘Neath an old willow tree
    They sought out their brother
    And found him alone
They wept by the lake side
    For a boy hardly grown
They wept by the lake side
    And vowed he must die
    The wandering stranger
    *humming*

In 2014 watching this episode put me into a depression that kept me from going on my planned vacation with my father. He died that week. Tonight, ten years later, was the first time I've heard it since. It almost drove me to suicide.

Yeah, but Billy pointed a shotgun at Floyd and planned to take Floyd to his brothers who would've probably killed Floyd, so that was self-defense.
