- Kind of a basic one but still important stuff to think about. Retreading some ground from my original UI video but its so important thats its worth repeating.

Bro I am dead with the de-clutter rabbit hole xD!
Thanks for the videos mate, all very useful, just one question - how are you hiding the rest of your action bars like that? So that they're still visible if you mouse over them?
Its an elvui feature but you should be able to do it with any actionbar addon (bartender/dominos/etc.)
You can copy my elvui profile from the disc/ui video or you can do it yourself by going into your elvui settings, navigating to whatever actionbar you want to fade out and checking the "mouseover" box.
Enhanced blizzard raid frames is quite light addon that allows you to configure basic raid frames… reposition buffs de buffs etc
Yeah, its definitely better than default frames but I personally still recommend new players learn on a more configurable addon like grid or vuhdo. If youre already used to default frames grabbing the enhanced addon and using that is a good option.
Another banger dood. I've been meaning to clean my UI, just seeing your real-estate makes it clear(pun) that it is time. Also I think the ctrl+s 8n c9mbat is a sleeper, I feel like the sounds help with timing but I guess only a little. Hearing fojii would be a lot more helpful. And fs changing my keybinds to have instants closer to hands. I have *heal* as my 4 button, and pom as 6 for instance. Even just switching those 2 would help.
Yeah I have POM on 1 and POM tank macro on shift+1
I find it super easy to press while im moving. Id always try to put instants on binds i can easily press with my middle finger while index and pointer are strafing. Otherwise you have to stretch your hand or jump strafe or something and its way easier to fatfinger.
can you explain further why the normal raid frames are so so bad? if you use /cast [@target] just wondering!!!
Default blizz frames arent readable and dont show a lot of important info. They also arent very configurable at all and you need a lot of WA/addons etc to improve their usability to be at all comparable to grid/vuhdo and at that point theres no reason not to just use grid/vuhdo instead.
Once you swap over and try better raid frames you wont ever go back.
@@doublezug7193 ahhh okay im not trying to be argumentative just wondering. If i have already setup mouseover casting and have things shown on default raid frames like debuffs, buffs, etc and have them positioned comfortably for me, is there a clear advantage to swapping? Thanks brotha
@@lukeforeman842 Id say its definitely worth the time investment to experiment with other raid frames and learn how to customize them.
If youre comfortable and dont care too much about min maxing you can use your set up just fine but especially if youre just learning theres no reason to start on default when you can learn grid/vuhdo/cell instead.
Have you ever thought about doing a UI review video?
Healbot. End of.
Oldhead in the chat. Respect.
As a shaman healer, I’m guilty of having ever action bar shown and filled, using click casting for consumes. I wish you would have overlayed this discussion atop some gameplay for demonstration purposes, but otherwise good content!
Yeah I'm recovering from covid so this was a very low effort video tbh ngl
Can you use grid2 frames with elvui?
Yeah you just turn the elvui raidframes off in the options. I wouldnt recommend using elvui raidframes, they arent as customizable or lightweight as the other addons i mentioned.
