I love the song and appreciate Steve because everything on here points to God. Steve has never taken the applause for himself but gives the glory to God.
The most beautifully photographed close up Steve Amerson. I think that preacher knew what he was doing when he told the congregation to start filling out the cards while Steve sang.
Thank YOU, Lord, for allowing and using Steve to continue to bless us with the voice and delivery that you gave him....... Thank you for The Cross. I so Long to see You and spend all of eternity in your presence.
I can't believe that announcer said it would be a good time to fill out that card or whatever it was while he was singing this beautiful spiritual song, what ! Crazy... all eyes and ears should have been fixed on the singer who performed the song so wonderfully. Wow.
This song has an excellent message from beginning to end. Steve Amerson has an outstanding voice and serves this song up in a way that emphasizes the message.
Love, love, love your, heart for Jesus, and your immeasurable talents are such a blessing to the body of Christ! Thank you for your sharing your gifts of writing and singing to the glory of God!
beautiful. distractions & separations are opportunities to forego what this busy world provides (inasmuch as these things), in order to seek fellowship with Christ through fellowship with each other. Communion means to be at one --- we truly are. thank you for this beautiful post =0)
- - Beautiful, its a song with a divine message but at the end I wonder who's getting all the glory, why not glorified God by saying Amen, Halleluiah, Praise God etc. ... instead of clapping hands toward the singer .. Praise with our voices to the one. Who gave him that beautiful talent to sing? , who died in Calvary ? why make it look like an applause for a human being rather than God? ... But I say, Praise be to God with our voices and everyone said "Amen and Amen"...
Victor Mc === If that church was filled with thousands of unsaved seekers who heard the wonderful gospel presented with a godly heart and a blessed voice and their hearts were moved and they clapped..........would you still condemn the gesture of appreciation of applause ??? Come on man, Steve puts a lot of heart into his songs and has given his talent to God's use (he knows it came from God!) for the Gospel. DON'T BE SO CRITICAL ! That song is a huge blessing!
Indeed the applause should be to God. We must remember everyone on this earth is not where we are and have an understanding of the applause to man. Be patient and pray for your Brothers (audience) growth and understanding, that Jesus' will open there eyes to His Truth!! Give honor where honor is due!!
It's not conservative or liberal, However they're defined; It's not about interpretation, Or the judgment of the mind; It's the opposite of politics, Power or prestige; It's about a simple message, And whether we believe. Chorus: It's still the cross, It's still the blood of Calvary; That cleanses sins, And sets the captives free. It's still the name, The name of Jesus, That has power to save the lost; It's still the cross. We can water down theology, And preach a word to suit our needs; We can justify sweet subtle lies, That are wrapped in noble deeds; We can alter our convictions, To adapt to social whims; But we cannot change the gospel, Or the truth contained within. Chorus Though some may say it's man's religion, Or ancient history; The cross of Jesus still remains, The price for sin that sets us free
A classic for all time and eternity. So true.

I thought the same!
I don't think the announcer realized what he said until after. Chuck Colson was the Announcer
@@JWParkerPhDDDivI believe it’s Chuck Swindall not chuck colson. Chuck Colson heads Prison Fellowship until he passed.
@@mrnoedahl you are correct. I was looking at both and now I do realize my error.
thank you Jesus for giving Steve this God given talent, his testimony speaks your name

Love your song sir!!
What church is this? Hope Steve’s beautiful singing of this sacred song woke some of those people up.
I am wondering what church this is also.

grande cantor, grande música
It's not conservative or liberal,
However they're defined;
It's not about interpretation,
Or the judgment of the mind;

It's still the blood of Calvary;
That cleanses sins,
And sets the captives free.
It's still the name,

That has power to save the lost;
It's still the cross.

Or ancient history;
The cross of Jesus still remains,
The price for sin that sets us free

Singing is worship and sacred. "Filling out cards in the meantime" is very disrespectful to the worship.
Excellence a moral or personality trait,
Annointed singing.
