- Element Mystic (EM), one of the best Overwatch teams in Contenders Korea, recently won their first-ever Contenders championship title which is a great accomplishment in itself when facing against the likes of the revamped RunAway, but what made their win particularly interesting was their decision to run a strange team composition in the finals.
In today's video, we explore the composition, commonly called Sombra-Doomfist Dive or Hackfist, typically comprised of Reinhardt, Zarya, Sombra, Doomfist, Lucio, and Ana, to see how it is executed by the pro and hopefully help you learn a thing or two along the way.

There hasn’t been a Doomfist good enough at my ranks to warrant running this combo. If I come across a Doomfist One-Trick... I’ll duo with his and see what happens.

@@lmperlum keep in mind that they have a strat of putting multiply diffrent rosters which makes for each team have a diffrent playstyle for any unique situation and makes other teams confused when preparing for them

Honestly, these explanations give a whole new perspective on these matches. I get almost emotional with all this synergy, really. It's amazing how coordinated and intricate these players are, and how their complex and quick-thinking strategies result in such beautiful and inspiring gameplay.

Not gonna lie though if people start just mirroring this comp I’ll be kinda upset not because this will be annoying on ranked but because I preferred the idea of the really fun if terrifying Clockwork comp is what would shift the meta though that comp is more then viable against this
That's a pretty promising future if these both start gaining traction, IMO. Both comps are pretty wildly different from each other and from GOATS, and both would play very differently against each other, and it starts to open the field for more unique counter-comps as well. Sombra Doom isn't a lot of fun to play against, and neither is Bastion Orisa Torb, but they'd make for a far more interesting meta.

CV looks wacky but its not fun, and its really not that powerful, only against goats. (wich btw doesnt have a 100% pickrate anymore. not even close)

yea standard ladder games people usually do not take the importance of how team comps work and how different heroes are supposed to synergise with each other and its quite annoying the amount of games I've lost just at the hero select screen something blizzard really needs to address

I wouldn’t worry too much about this meta, it seems like it’s only accurate against specific team comps such as goats, and it also has a lot of weaknesses

I like this composition but I think you guys are overselling how good it is.
While you guys say it’s consistent it’s really not. Usually Element Mystic switch to Sombra Goats at some point during the match especially if they lose 2 fights in a row.
This comp working has more to do with how weak Korean Contenders has been in the last season after 100 or so pros got picked up in to Overwatch League. The level of competition isn’t quite there and will take time to comeback. Element Mystic just found a niche.
The real star of this has been Doha the guy has been building EMPs in 40 seconds or so on average but if a team was to try this I think it would work for London but only against the weaker teams in the league.
Yup, you're absolutely right. We can also say E.Mystic has one of the best sombra and one of the best doom in the world and are totally aware of their win condition. So...Just play this comp if you got a sombra main, a doom main and who can work together.

Holding left click for less than a second from a off angle you easily got to while invisible and then safely getting out with the most braindead free out of jail card in the game VS engaging on a hero that ususlly requires a cooldown to be burned just to close in on the enemy and then killing something before you get deleted by literally anything that sees you coming or save a cooldown to "try" to get out...
Also, lets not forget the Sombras ult which is a free teamwipe + ult charge for everybody VS DFs suicide button...
Shut up already and accept the fact that Doomfist is by far the hero with the highest skill floor in the game to do anything besides play punchbot behind his team while also having one of the highest skill ceilings... still hate getting surprised punched but that doesnt cloud my judgement.

Love the use of the Replay feature for the intro
This comp creates a nice advantage for most heroes: I mean like,
Doom can flank supports get picks and still get use from rein shatter, Zarya grav, and nano boost while still having consistent heals from lucio
Sombra can build emp and shut down supports in case the tanks use ults while still having a great escape ability in case they have to regroup
Both tanks can make opportunities for the dps to get picks while still having good abilities to protect supports. A sigma can maybe work too but is a more offensive alternative for rein.
Both supports can safely heal behind tanks while still benefiting the dps and tanks. A brig can Theoretically work as an alternative to the lucio but lucio can heal a radius a opposed to the recharge of repair kit. A defensive alternative to lucio might be zen in case the grav gets the tanks but you have to remember that zen could be countered with a sombra.
Overall This comp is the most ideal comp for a hackfist duo.

Agent Utah just pick dva spam the chokes and if u 're talking about emp , if emp is not followed up by anything it's literally useless and just get a slightly good lucio/zen and tell them to hide . If u want to counter sombra just "git gud" sombra is just like bastion, Mei and torb if u don't deal with em or counter them u'll just get a big fat loss

Agent Utah the problem with sombra being "op" is that healers in low elos are IN the middle of the fight they should be at the back . A mercy ult can just deny emp . Sombra was made to counter ability reliant heroes and shields and she's getting popular just cuz tanks are being used much more ( who she counters most of them ) I don't think she's op at all , to play sombra effectively u need to have a decent game sense and also decent aim . And by choosing sombra you're sacrificing damage as she tickles squishes and does barley any damage to tanks . Like in this game u literally have Mei which can perma freeze u /wall u off , doom ( one shot every 4 secs) ,bastion broken damage , I can keep going on . People now are just butthurt over the fact that a hero can counter their favorite hero.

My Diamond console team was running Sombra Doom Dive to counter GOATS in scrims, but Idk why we never thought about just running it with Rein Zarya. Looks like a dope comp and it makes me happy to find any strong comp using Sombra.

I like it. It's fairly easy to counter if you don't stay on goats. McCree and Mei would love to fight Sombra and Doomfist. Or even add a Pharmercy in there.

It's really an interesting comb, looks more enjoyable too, however needs high coordination.
Not going to lie, I’ve always enjoyed goats. Takes a ton of team work, and really showcases the importance of timing with cool downs and exploiting them, as well as ultimate usage
Darny U. Same way! You can tell when teams communicate well and are more effective with their timings! A single cooldown, timed properly, is enough to swing a team fight. The composition being mirrored really showcases (in my opinion) the better players as well as team. You can find where the weak links are, as well as the strongest!
So we’re moving from GOATS with a lot of CC but more shielding, to Hackfist which is even MORE CC on top of CC... great

Dude all you have to do is execute this comp properly is be super coordinated and be the best Doomfist/Sombra in the country. Easy clap.
@@Capta1nTD even people in low ranks can do 3 3.. though not as efficient as the higher ranks it'll still force the other team to go 3 3.. and we both know how bad coordination is in lower ranks is.. and also even though I'm high enough to get almost precise coordination I really doubt I'd be able to play this meta with randos because I usually solo que and sometimes I team up but I don't have an actually team to train metas with either..
I prefer goats and this to any kind of bunker comp. Can you imagine how boring that would be to watch.
but this comp is actually entertaining lol... its fun af watch Doomfist destroying everyone
GOATs is just as boring to be honest. Two clumps run at each other and bashing it out. I know its more complex than that but from a viewers POV thats basically all you see
