Gavin. I love you. You seem to be a uniquely lovable, but most definitely, a seruos man. At one level, your're a first-rank gooball. I just watched Heaton, and then Adam. To be sure, they are both consistently brilliant. None of them, however, or any of others of yoir ability deliver a ... that I-need-to-watch--Gavin's episode feeling. You entertain. (Duh!). You manage a "show" so very much worth watching, just because you do it so very, very well. Most importantly, for SURE - what you deliver for us here weekly is wonderfully pertinent. Really? It's just wonderful. .... and at the end of any of them? Gavin, you teach. You have a gift. Fun and goofy, but never without serious, teachable substance. Props. Major ones to you, and those you love. They all brighten the lives of your fans. You brighten mine.
Hey Gavin: Always look forward to your videos. you guys make me laugh! A little advise on your camping gear. Your sleeping bag and tent is way to big for backpacking. Get a down bad that is lighter and compresses down to half the size of the one shown. get a 2 person tent with 2 - vestibules. lighter and much smaller than you have shown. Also your platypus water filter in my opinion takes up to much space and is time consuming in the backcountry. can't think of one I use, but research the filter that attaches to your 1 litter water bottle. Just fill water bottle with any water source and drink. No waiting and much less to carry. With all the camera gear you have to bring, it's important to carry less weight in your pack.
You dropped this video on the perfect day. I am avoiding the tv election noise (US) and stress, and your videos make me laugh out loud. This is a happy place. BTW.. there is a product you can get called Beano that is pretty good to cut down on the methane from all those beans.
I definitely enjoy your videos. Not only do you bring a lot of talent in the craft, you bring humor and a bit of fun as well. Amanda and Brent are great to have in your videos...Amanda for your humorous interactions (plus she's great to look at and watch) and Brent for the humor but mostly for his photographic expertise as well. I truly enjoy going to your area of the world, and thoroughly enjoy the videos taken on Vancouver Island or on the mainland side relatively near Vancouver, as well as in Yoho - Banff - Jasper National Parks. Keep up the great work.
With the world going to hell in a hand basket really quickly today - this "photography" blog was just the ticket ... to ... oops .... to smile and laugh out loud.
Sexual innuendo, wild camping, adventure, grand plans, photography, and beautiful scenery. Sounds like a typical fototripper video. morale section....:) Haha excellent as always! Learning whilst laughing makes it memorable!
Wow. I though my wife's patient with my photography was top... Until I realized about Amanda's patient with you. She's a gift from heaven, you already know, isn't it?
Awesome..hike. I laughed and laughed again..ty. Great shot of the moon lit mountain..water was smooth ..did you use a filter? Beautiful shot...can’t wait for the next v blog ..be safe out there.
Gavin, you crack me up!!! When its pouring rain out in Seattle, WA and I can't go outside to snap photos, I watch one or two of your videos. Your personality and laugh are awesome and the way you come across on your You Tube channel is perfect. Your adventures and your photography are both beautiful. Your trips with Amanda , sharing your experiences together is what its all about. Keep up the commentary and great videos, thank you for all you do. Louis Ruth Photography
Absolutely brilliant ............. Of all of the photography vloggers on YT, your videos are head and shoulders above everything out there. BTW .......... your photos are pretty good as well 📷👍
You are a true legend and a true inspiration Amanda too but not quite as much as you, awesome blogg all the pleasure you give our family in your videos you should be a mbe at least
Great one! Loved the moon light shot, I was lucky when we were at Grand Teton and it was a full moon so I got a similar one there. Can't wait to watch the next video for the gorgeous sunrise pics.
I did the same hike in September in order to get a sunrise shot at the lake. Beautiful spot. On the hike out came across grizzly bears (mother and cub) along the side of the trail. Hikers were walking past in groups. Looking forward to your next video.
i used to make Mac n Cheese with corn and hot dogs mixed in. the hot dogs were cut up of course. Now i make it with caramelized onions and bratwurst, preferably something spicy, like a jalapeño cheddar brat.
Loved it. I would have had to be dragged in after 10k. I admire your adventurous spirit. Amanda is hilarious as well. I’ll have to send you some of our local chocolate.
The Starbucks packets contain turkish grind beans, killer good. I also like the Mount Hagen instant coffee packets. Much rather lug choco bars up the hill than a coffee bean grinder. I don’t miss carrying 27 rolls of film around either. 💥
I'm ya Uncle!!!..... Looking forward to the Sunrise shots :-) Oh and if you need ya Uncle to carry that chocky for you on future long hikes (and protect it from Amanda)give me a shout lol.
LOL. I recognized the Tonquin from the three abreast crapper shot at the beginning. Bugs?! You should have seen it this summer, mate - worst bugs I've ever seen in the Tonquin. One of my favourite locations though - and you're right, better as a sunrise location.don'tcontours to
Well done on the 50K Gavin. You deserve it after all you’re hard work and countless outtakes. I laughed out load, 3 times and I was only into the video by 2 minutes. Don’t tell Amanda I used to be a wedding photographer as well as a landscape photographer, or that I’ll be in Canada next year. Otherwise you’ll be walking down that aisle faster than your little flip flopped feet can carry you.
Thank bean farts 💨 for this video!! 24 mins and I was left wanting part 2 you minge teasing! Spot on about the Osprey, I got mine about a month ago and wow! Comfort for the bigger chap 🤭 belting video as always cocker!
Well worth waiting for. What a great looking place. What's this hibiscus tea rubbish? What no yorkshire tea? Yeah the "stuffing it in " comment and look was funny. Thanks
And I love the " what's on the backpack" . Different countries and laws. We can't make fire in the woods. And the toilet paper, c'mon , there are small wipes... With perfume 😁
Beautiful moonlit shot of the ramparts there Willie Wonka. lol Love that place. Looking forward to next week's shit ticket episode. And I know the feeling of the footweargasm. Long live the flip-flop!! :D
no bum wipe? I use sphagnum moss, it's everywhere, it's absorbent, anti-septic, and kind to your nether parts, as long as you remember to pick out the twiggy bits first.
Sheepskin foot beds help a lot in keeping your feet warmer for longer. They will still get cold eventually, but I find they keep me toasty standing around in British winter's.
Yes found the Kind bars on Amazon UK Gavin. Sorry can't do those instant coffee sachets...Raw Bean or Lyons coffee bags for me. Wish I'd had one of those ponchos when I was up in The Lake District last couple of weeks. Despite the Shimoda cover my Action X bag got quite wet. I'll have to invest in a poncho like that before my next trip. Looking forward to Episode 2.
I’m on 5th minute, great vid. One tip for warmth in tent, coleman f1 gas lantern, in the evening will heat up tent nicely. Game changer Anyways I go back watching you vid
@@fototripper I’m sure you can use it safely😉, just start mantle before hiking for first burn. After it will give hot glow and it’s in metal net casing. Mine it’s used out hiking and sometimes to warm my car if I don’t want to run engine
It was worth it just to see the look that Amanda gave you about the "stuffing it" comment. Can't wait to see the images
You’re a blessed man to have a wife who enjoys what you do.
Amen!!
WTH!? I thought it was only a vision board right now!??
Don’t think Amanda has snagged him yet 🤣 Not for the lack of trying though - maybe a BIGGER vision board is required 😉
Gavin. I love you. You seem to be a uniquely lovable, but most definitely, a seruos man.

You have a gift.
Fun and goofy, but never without serious, teachable substance.
Props. Major ones to you, and those you love.
They all brighten the lives of your fans.
You brighten mine.
Oh THANK GOD!! Voting day RELIEF!! LOVE it!!
Very entertaining vlogs Gavin. You make this photography genre funny and a joy to watch. Should be proud of what you've created.
✌️
I have enjoyed your videos for about 2 years now. I seriously don't understand how you and Uncle Grumpy do not have millions of subscribers yet.
It's getting to the point where this is the only photography channel I really look forward to. What is wrong with me?
Uncle Grumpy did a boot review. I think you need to do a flip flop review.

Moonscape shot is brilliant and beautiful!!!!
‘You just keep tugging” lmfao. Can’t wait for the next bit.
Great video Gavin. I really like your bag kit for the portable water and the jetboil is always useful
It really is the best feeling when you get to your campsite after a long hike and kick your boots off! Gorgeous location.

Ah, that warmed the cockles of my heart. So romantic, the 3 of you on the communal pool. What a life.

Beans = dutch oven time. 🤢 Tip for Amanda, hang a bar of chocolate on the back of your pack..... quickest hike ever. 🤣👍👍👍

Genuinely a tear or two of laughter, can’t wait for parts 2,3........
Come on...just give us the next episode already...this isn't cable tv. Also, great video! Thanks for keeping us all entertained.
Wow. I though my wife's patient with my photography was top... Until I realized about Amanda's patient with you. She's a gift from heaven, you already know, isn't it?

Well worth waiting for. What a great looking place. What's this hibiscus tea rubbish? What no yorkshire tea? Yeah the "stuffing it in " comment and look was funny. Thanks
20km! That’s a Sunday stroll for Thomas Heaton.
Tom would be carrying my pack as well as his own.
Yeah - but then he would photograph a shrub in between several complaints :)
I always save your videos for a treat and of course a chocolate bar is compulsory!
And I love the " what's on the backpack" . Different countries and laws. We can't make fire in the woods. And the toilet paper, c'mon , there are small wipes... With perfume 😁

Omg, had me in stitches yet again, so addictive Gavin :)
Cracking video, love Brits abroad 🇬🇧🏕️🏞️👍🏽🙏🏽. ... You're missing teabags and whiskey in the morale section and yes we have Kind Bars
Love your videos. Make photography seem fun and easy. Even though its not easy, it can be fun. Thanks.

High quality entertainment indeed! Hilarious as always. Keep doing this, dude!
you should ALWAYS give Amanda as much chocolate as she wants.. keep that girl happy.. she puts up with a lot..
She really does
Thank you for my morning smile.
For a good nights sleep you can’t go wrong with Big Agnes.... I have the Q-core Bloody brilliant.
I can't do mummy bags on account of the hot vapour emanating from my feet.
KIND bars are even here in Russia yet! Just fell in love with them when visiting the states
Beautiful moonlit shot of the ramparts there Willie Wonka. lol Love that place. Looking forward to next week's shit ticket episode. And I know the feeling of the footweargasm. Long live the flip-flop!! :D
