    So I was bored watching videos and I stumbled across your channel. watching one of your videos which are pretty good I heard you mention a specific town. so I got curious and looked you up. Me and you graduated from the same high school years apart though. I also happen to be in the Air Force but I am active duty stationed away from home. You make some great informative videos. Keep it up.

    I absolutely love your videos!!!❤️ I was all set to go Active but I really want to go to school. Do you think it would be better if I finished college (I already started, I’m taking a break) while in the Reserves and then switching to active? Also what’s the pay difference with Active and Reserve?

    Hello 👋 I am interested in joining the air national guard. I was wondering if the military pays for your apartment rent while your away at bmt and tech school? I still need to talk to a recruiter but I’m just trying to find as much info on my own as I can. Thanks!

    I’m really looking into the AF, I contacted a recruiter so I’m crossing my fingers. Not sure if I want to do active or reserves but your channel helps a lot. I do have one question, what advice would you give about looking through the jobs? I really don’t know what I want to do and I’m not sure how to go about it. I want to know a few I’m interested in to take to the recruiter, but I get kinda lost looking through the jobs. Love your vids!! 💓

    • @Samantharoot
      @Samantharoot  6 лет назад +1

      So whenever I was looking into jobs, I looked at the AF page and look thru all the different categories I was interested in and then made a list of the jobs I was interested in that were at my base! Then I just kinda did more research on each job and also got advice from my recruiter! that really helped me narrow down my job choices :)

    I’ve been thinking about joining the military. Either army or Air Force I’m not sure yet. But I’ve been having trouble seeing what’s the best option for me. Reserves or active duty. I’m a single dad , my daughter is 3. And her mom lives in Michigan. I live in Texas. That’s far. Well I wouldn’t want to be away from my daughter a lot. So reserve may be the way to go. But I know the active duty personnel get better benefits such as housing allowances. I want the best for my daughter. But at the same time. I don’t want to be away from her so much. It’s hard !

    • @jasmineartis5754
      @jasmineartis5754 5 лет назад +2

      The airforce allows your child to live with you on base if you do active duty. You can actually have your daughter live with you at tech school if your tech school is a while 6months-1year. I hope you figure it out for your daughter. Good luck.

    so how does active work if youre still wanting to go to school? are people aware youre still wanting to go to school as well as be active or is that not typically common? im wanting to get away but still be active and go to school, I wasn't sure if it worked the best and was even possible or how it all worked for that.

    • @Samantharoot
      @Samantharoot  6 лет назад +2

      it is possible but it very difficult just because you will still be working full time and that is the priority. I am going to be going to school full time while on active orders so people do it but its just a lot to manage!!

    I noticed you said that you got to start college right when you got back from tech school, did they not have you do OJT? I’m guard as well and I should be home in October and was wanting to start college spring semester 2020. Do you think I’ll be able to do that?

    • @Samantharoot
      @Samantharoot  5 лет назад

      I did 4 months of OJT but I am an online college student so I was able to work and go to school! It just depends how long your OJT is

    If you are in the National Guard and you decide a year or two into your four year contract that you want to go active, can you? Or do you have to wait until your four year contract is up?

    • @petergriffin1387
      @petergriffin1387 5 лет назад

      For the Army National Guard is a lot easier for the Air National Guard it’s extremely difficult. Me and my brother are in the Army National Guard and we seen soldiers go active duty no problem. But the army is also a bigger branch. Where my sister is in the air national guard and is trying to go Active Duty Air Force from the Guard and she’s been waiting a year and a half and comes to a point where she accepts she won’t go active duty so she is likely going to stay in the guard. if your not in yet go Active Duty Air Force and then if you decide to go Air National Guard you can switch but going from guard to active duty in the Air Force is almost impossible just from what I seen what my sister is going through and what I heard about Airman in the reserves or guard trying to go active duty. It’s extremely competitive to go full time because there’s part time airman that are also applying for full time some might have the same mos.
