Every tattoo has a story even the completely meaningless ones have context, i have professional tattoos and bad tattoos and my friends make fun of me relentlessly for all my tattoos but i cherish each and every one of them especially the bad ones because every tattoo i have feels like a chapter of my life recorded on my skin

@@fkcuuu8362 For some... sure, ill agree with that... but definitely not everybody There are many tattoo enthusiasts like me who love tattoos both good and bad, I have big tattoos from high school that I still love many years later, I know that as people get older their tattoos will fade but thats actually not a problem at all because they can simply get them touched up with new ink or get a cover up which would look perfectly fine over a faded old tattoo, if they have money to burn they could also get laser removal and get a new tattoo As for my kids, personally I dont give a fuck if my kids decide to get tattoos as long as their first couple of tattoos can be covered up with everyday clothing, I dont care if theyre 14, 16, or 18, as long as they fully understand the consequences and dont pick something that will affect their careers, hell I would even give them a really clean stick and poke tattoo myself if they wanted, better me than some stranger at a party

Jelly you are the man! I have 1 tattoo, and it is absolutely terrible. I got it in a very rough and rebellious stage of my life at just 16 years old. When my mother saw it, she was heartbroken. I'm now 36, successful, and a father of 2 young sons. Lately I have been considering getting laser tattoo removal. After listening to you own all of your tattoos, and using them as a reminder of who you were at that time. I think I'll keep mine to help me remember what I was like back then. When my boys get to their rebellious stage, I think this bad tattoo will remind me to just love them through it. You are the best Jelly!

Idk who this guy is, but it’s refreshing to hear him say he does regret some tattoos. I never understood the concept of pretending that you have “no regrets” about things that it’s perfectly fine and normal to regret. It feels like a comping mechanism. If you don’t have any regrets as you age, that means you either aren’t getting any wiser as you age, or you’re the first human who was a perfect teenager/young adult, and you never made any stupid decisions. Either way, it should be concerning, especially because one of those makes you a damn liar on top of everything else.
I feel like admitting regret is more of a honesty thing. You can look back and say damn what did I do that? You can't let regret make you live in shame though

Just in case you actually read these Jason, I've got a huge "Ca$hville" tattoo across my shoulders that's supposed to be in the same font that's on the dollar bill. Considering it's not even really centered, I doubt the font is really great either so I guess you'd like it. I got it when I was 16 or 17 and had just been kicked out of my mom's in South Nashville area and sent to live with my Dad in Louisville KY. At that point I just knew I was coming back. I never did. Got married, unmarried and stayed in Louisville. We've actually met a few times back in the 90s and I just remembered how hype I got when I saw that "tell my PO I hang drywall" video. I still come back to visit Mom all the time but that city has grown so much that it doesn't feel like home at all anymore. Congratulations on all your success my brother! You deserve it.

Antioch is further out and more of a suburb I guess. I think he's a little younger than I am. Nashville was a cool place in the 90's. It still is but for different reasons. Now it's turned into like full-on big shiny city mode with people pouring in like crazy. It definitely used to seem more humble and down to earth when I was growing up. I still go back all the time to visit my Mom. Last year I decided to check out my old neighborhood. It used to be one of those "you live in this neighborhood because it's where you can afford to live" neighborhoods; definitely not "desirable". I didn't even recognize it. Now it's apparently a highly desirable area, full little boutiques, restaurants, and condos. All we really used to have was a couple liquor stores, one good barber shop, and the tiny gas station that sold us cigarettes when we were kids and had illegal slot machines and ran numbers out of the back. My first tattoo was a stick and poke I did at 16 in my room laying in bed. It was a small simple heart outline on my wrist, it looked good and I got lots of compliments for it. Shortly after I did another one on my hip anc loved it. Sadly it was my first time and I didn't know what I was doing so I didn't put the needle deep and it faded after a few months. My mom found out about the wrist one, told me never to do it again, and was pissed. Said it looked ugly but it really was cute and everyone loved it. Definitely gonna get the heart redone professionally on my 19th birthday and it'll be my first official ❤️

I got 5 bad ones before i was 21 years old. They all tell a part of my life. Only one got a coverup. The rest will stay. My son wanted me to get a Bugs Bunny when he was about 5. So the person who was my husband tatted me and i put a rub on sticker tattoo on my son. After my son passed, i had the rest of Bugs body inked in and colored as a memorial tattoo

I got my first tattoo at 14 yesterday old, at a friend's house, with a needle wrapped in thread and calligraphy ink. I have a lot of bad ink lol, but it's my life. I had piercings before everyone was getting them. I don't regret anything though.
I did over 90% of my left arm and my wife did two on my right... She worked at a shop and I ordered my kit for less than $30 lmao I love looking at both for the same reasons. Left reminds me of some good times but mostly bad and I wanted a tattoo vs the right where both is beautiful lol
I actually almost got a tattoo from the artist that did Jelly Roll’s hand rose. I didn’t end up doing it but, I did talk to the guy. My former boss got a lion from the artist in the ditch of his arm. The artist is Big Mike. He’s out of Florida.
The exact way Jelly said about having a “memory arm or a memory leg”. That’s the point I’m at. I kept getting dumb tattoos for a while until I lost my little brother and I was the second person on the scene before the paramedics got there. I was holding him in my arms inside the crashed car and my friend/neighbor was holding me and telling me to start praying. I already knew he was gone but, I tried to keep hope. Ever since then, I have only done tattoos for him. I dedicated my body to be tattooed for him or for my family/kids. I have a kaleidoscope rose on my hand, Itachi on my forearm (because he would kill anyone to protect his little brother), I sword on my forearm since we used to fight with swords (real ones) as kids being stupid, two (x2) frost moons (the Native American symbol for a certain month birthday since we shared the same month) on the inside of my upper arm, one for me and one for him after he passed, a ladybug on one of my hands for my brother (all I seen after he passed, even the day of his passing is ladybugs and cardinals almost every single day no matter where I travel to for work, no matter what state I’m in). Everyone gets a dumb tattoo or something they regret at some point in their life. I mean, shit, I have light sabers on the inside of my fingers because I was high one day in the past and said fuck it. But, they each tell a story. Whether it’s a good or bad story. Every tattoo has a story. It depends on the way you tell the story and what it means to you. I’ve had multiple artists do a lot of tattoos on me. I don’t regret a single one. Some I like less than others. Some are my favorites. Some have very special meanings to me. But, they all have a story behind them. They each tell my journey of my struggles, my good times, my bad times, my triumphs, my sorrows, etc. Follow your heart and get what means something special to you. A lot of mine are jacked up and I don’t want them corrected (until maybe in the future) because, they mean something g special to me and remind me of a time in my life. Best of luck to you all. Love y’all and hope the best for you. I leave with this. Choose your artist wisely. Choose the artwork wisely. And remember, you have to live with this for the rest of your life so, make sure there’s a story behind it. (Example: I have a Scooby Doo collar on my ankle because I was a major pothead through my construction years and it’s the name that the islanders I worked with and my coworkers gave me, that and Hollywood or Wild Man) ((Again, make sure every tattoo has a story behind it. Don’t let anyone take away the joy that art piece means to you, it’s your body, your choice, your decision and your story. Make it count, even if the tattoo sucks. It’s still a story to be told.))

My first tattoo was a stick and poke I did at 16 in my room laying in bed. It was a small simple heart outline on my wrist, it looked good and I got lots of compliments for it. Shortly after I did another one on my hip anc loved it.
Sadly it was my first time and I didn't know what I was doing so I didn't put the needle deep and it faded after a few months. My mom found out about the wrist one, told me never to do it again, and was pissed. Said it looked ugly but it really was cute and everyone loved it.
Definitely gonna get the heart redone professionally on my 19th birthday and it'll be my first official ❤️

I have alot of bad tattoos too! 🤣 they all tell a story of where I was at at that time I got them. Now if I could just afford a good artist to blend them all together I coukd stop laughing out if embarrassment when they are pointed out.
I got 5 bad ones before i was 21 years old. They all tell a part of my life. Only one got a coverup. The rest will stay. My son wanted me to get a Bugs Bunny when he was about 5. So the person who was my husband tatted me and i put a rub on sticker tattoo on my son. After my son passed, i had the rest of Bugs body inked in and colored as a memorial tattoo

I got my first tattoo at 14 yesterday old, at a friend's house, with a needle wrapped in thread and calligraphy ink. I have a lot of bad ink lol, but it's my life. I had piercings before everyone was getting them. I don't regret anything though.
I did over 90% of my left arm and my wife did two on my right... She worked at a shop and I ordered my kit for less than $30 lmao I love looking at both for the same reasons. Left reminds me of some good times but mostly bad and I wanted a tattoo vs the right where both is beautiful lol

I actually almost got a tattoo from the artist that did Jelly Roll’s hand rose. I didn’t end up doing it but, I did talk to the guy. My former boss got a lion from the artist in the ditch of his arm. The artist is Big Mike. He’s out of Florida.
The exact way Jelly said about having a “memory arm or a memory leg”. That’s the point I’m at. I kept getting dumb tattoos for a while until I lost my little brother and I was the second person on the scene before the paramedics got there. I was holding him in my arms inside the crashed car and my friend/neighbor was holding me and telling me to start praying. I already knew he was gone but, I tried to keep hope. Ever since then, I have only done tattoos for him. I dedicated my body to be tattooed for him or for my family/kids. I have a kaleidoscope rose on my hand, Itachi on my forearm (because he would kill anyone to protect his little brother), I sword on my forearm since we used to fight with swords (real ones) as kids being stupid, two (x2) frost moons (the Native American symbol for a certain month birthday since we shared the same month) on the inside of my upper arm, one for me and one for him after he passed, a ladybug on one of my hands for my brother (all I seen after he passed, even the day of his passing is ladybugs and cardinals almost every single day no matter where I travel to for work, no matter what state I’m in). Everyone gets a dumb tattoo or something they regret at some point in their life. I mean, shit, I have light sabers on the inside of my fingers because I was high one day in the past and said fuck it. But, they each tell a story. Whether it’s a good or bad story. Every tattoo has a story. It depends on the way you tell the story and what it means to you. I’ve had multiple artists do a lot of tattoos on me. I don’t regret a single one. Some I like less than others. Some are my favorites. Some have very special meanings to me. But, they all have a story behind them. They each tell my journey of my struggles, my good times, my bad times, my triumphs, my sorrows, etc. Follow your heart and get what means something special to you. A lot of mine are jacked up and I don’t want them corrected (until maybe in the future) because, they mean something g special to me and remind me of a time in my life. Best of luck to you all. I leave with this. Choose your artist wisely. Choose the artwork wisely. And remember, you have to live with this for the rest of your life so, make sure there’s a story behind it. (Example: I have a Scooby Doo collar on my ankle because I was a major pothead through my construction years and it’s the name that the islanders I worked with and my coworkers gave me, that and Hollywood or Wild Man) ((Again, make sure every tattoo has a story behind it. Don’t let anyone take away the joy that art piece means to you, it’s your body, your choice, your decision and your story. Make it count, even if the tattoo sucks. It’s still a story to be told.))

I’m 23 and I’m completely flooded in tattoos literally every single day I get compared that I look like the “Skinny Jelly Roll” every single day I also have face tattoos but I hear this everyday I’ve also gotten the Post Malone Comment but I remember having tattoos when I was 15 before post had any tattoos I also was getting tattooed in a trailer back then thank God I wised up since then but yes I’ve gotten this for several years now the Jelly Roll comments and the Post Malone comments every single day
