I got some of these years ago and they just broke whenever you put even the slightest pressure on them. They used to have orange/red fluorescent pads. Are they more durable now? The Irwin light duty similarly have almost no clamping power - but the medium and heavy duty can exert quite a lot of force actually. I’ve used them to lift heavy machinery as jacks (in spreader mode).
no florescent pads, and I use them for clamp ups and do not have a problem, I also use them to clamp and push in my box joint jig with no problems - you should probably buy 1 and test it against your requirements, if it passes, buy move, if it does not pass, find another clamp to test and take back the clamp, thanks for subscribing!
