Fucking Sweden kill it every time! I cannot explain why this song makes me cry. It could 've for a number of reasons . Perhaps it's because I found out I was pregnant with my oldest that year 6 months after miscarrying a baby of nearly 5 months. Maybe because I was in Stockholm in March of the same year and I miss it so much. Maybe it's just the frequency of Loreen's voice. I just love it but when it comes to songs that make me cry my eyes out just mentioning the title, Euphoria is up there with Tears in Heaven!

Just keep reacting and maybe get around to more of them soon. I really liked the very intricate smart “art pieces” of the semifinals back in 2016. The factory robot and the grey people. Love love peace peace is well known of course. And anything with Loreen and everything with Petra Mede. ;)
I don't know why, but this version/performance of this song always makes me start to cry. And it specifically starts my eyes watering the moment she first says Euphoria.
This song is so beautiful and this performance is so amazing. I don't know,it's the song that brought me back to Eurovision. I think the whole idea to focus on the message of the song, adding sign language to show a form of universality and togetherness is beautiful. Everything about the symbols wow. Even the idea to create the stage as the union between Europe and the biggest one is that bridge between Malmo and Copenhagen and linking Sweden to the continental Europe is mindblowing. Sweden is in another plan at the point, the way they are hosting this show is just unbelievable. Even if I didn't like Teardrop it was pretty crazy to see the symbolism of the whole show by having Denmark winning and hosting at the other end of this bridge, Copenhagen. This is some Nordic magic. Coming back to Loreen, she is such a great talent, she freaking deserves to be some much more known. Her music is so beautiful, it's music of our time but it feels like except for Euphoria she is forgotten, it's pretty sad.

This was my favourite Eurovision opening of all time, there are more going on here than you might think Jake. The show was held in Malmö, the bridge in the beginning is the Öresundsbridge which connects Sweden with Denmark but also Europe, we can see tiny butterflies fly towards the arena, it follows the theme which was "We are one", the perfomance itself displays this so beautifully, the kids and Loreen does this butterfly motion with their hands, when she comes in she walks on a bridge, she sings along with the children too and in the end she joins the crowd to ultimately display that We are one.
Other opening/interval acts you should do: Loreen at the 2013 Final Petra at the 2013 Final Emilie at the 2014 Final Måns at the 2016 1SF Måns and Petra at the 2SF and Final (major Lol) And if you really wanna go old school... Riverdance at the 1994 Final

Its a tradition for the precious years winner to perform some kind of the winning act. And I so agree, I think most of us in the Eurovision family does, Petra Mede from Sweden is the one and only presenter, along with Måns Zelmerløw in 2016, the two of them were incredibly good. Try to react to all their in between songs, fun dancing and so on. They absolutely nailed it.....at least react to "love love peace peace" an ironic presentation on how to make a Eurovision song. That bridge in the beginning is the bridge between Copenhagen/Denmark, and Malmö/Sweden. Incidently the two cities hosting eurovision 2013 and 2012. The cities are very close, you go by train between them, city centre to city centre across the bridge in 30 minutes.
Want the syrup stuff? The first "picture" you saw is the bridge connecting Sweden to Denmark and the continent. And I think the bridge inside the arena refers to that bridge, but also to the bridge overcoming our differences, between generations, between races, genders, communication, etc and, in the end, hearts... And these are my thoughts today; Even back in 2012-13 it was about the future of our children, because it always has, but today it is at an entirely new level. The young boy who opened the song told us about a memory that the other children immediately understood. If you pay attention you can hear Loreen crooning while walking over the bridge. It is a message from "the other side", the boy perceives her message (she croons in his ear and she touch him) and he starts to sing. Her mission is fulfilled, and in the name of the love that isn't polluted by the name of some god, tribe, race, etc, she gives herself away. The message she delivered is delivered to the melting pot of culture that help us reach divinity… I like syrup, it weakens my heart in a healthy way, and I’m feeling good.
