The morning after the contest I flew from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Sanna and the Swedish delegation were on my flight. The entire airplane erupted in cheers when the flight attendants congratulated her over the loudspeaker for her third place. Sanna stayed by the door and greeted every passenger as we were leaving the aircraft.
I was so proud of Sanna that year. She's a veteran in Sweden and competed in Melodifestivalen 6 times before finally winning in 2014. And her third place in the grand finale was well deserved.
eurovision can be funny like that! sometimes a year i dont appreciate a song at all but then i listen to it later and wonder how i didnt absolutely love it at the time!
I think that will be very hard. Since 2015 Melfest uses an app for voting, so since then there are more very young kids who are voting a lot. While an adult might vote 1 time for the song they like, the kids vote 10 times or more for their favorite. And the tweens usually go for good looking boys dancing and singing catchy songs, rather than women singing a song like this.
Åsa S ah, so sad, the system should be changed. After Sanna Sweden always sends the radio friendly ones. I know that the juries also like what they send on ESC, but we feel it's kinda boring
What a weird explanation. Does it cost to use the app? Otherwise, it's quite easy to limit the app voting to just one vote. * *quick googling* * OK, so you're allowed to vote 5 times with the app and up to 20 times with televote and SMS. "the kids vote 10 times more" explanation doesn't hold in that case.
Rickard Elimää So if a kid votes 5 times with the app and 20 times with sms on their favorite artist, and an adult votes 1 time on their favorite artist, then the artist the kid likes is getting 25 times as many votes.
Honeslty most swedes don't vote i think. And those who do either votes as a family...or they vote individually, one vote per family member = usually mor ekids than adults. Or the adults just forfeits their votes and let the kids vote. Also In sweden we often have too many good entries soo everyone divides their votes to different people...sometimes making a good entry disappear between others that are more standout as funny or just with a hot male singer... To be honest i voted for Eric Saade because he was hot, not because the song was good. I
Ooo! *YES*. This was the last Swedish entry that I really, truly liked. I felt that all the Swedish entries after this were sterile and calculated. As much as I enjoyed "I Can't Go On", I only enjoyed it because Robin's backing dancers were so fabulous. Sanna was actually standing in a ring of spotlights that were shining up.
What gets me every time with this performance is hearing how the audience is singing along with her. You can especially hear it in the beginning of the song. I understand it was a lot of swedish people in the audience so thats probably why they knew the lyrics, but still, it's just so remarkably beautiful that the audience is acting as her backing choir just simply because they love the song.
I DONT KNOW why i fall in love with this song in this year, so weird, at that time i loved conchita song, anyway both songs are so magical beautiful and very powverful, and thanks to you for sharing your reactions,, salutes from lima peru
She came 3rd, after the Netherlands and Austria (Conchita Wurst). Everyone was so happy for her to finally come to ESC after 7 attempts in Melodifestivalen. Even though i love "Undo", her song from 2008 - "Empty Room" (which placed 2nd), will ALWAYS be my number one. Perhaps you could react to that one day? No pressure though, I understand that you get a lot of requests.
I love the `arabic inflections` and she helped mutute `schlager` when it reached the buffers in 2011 with `Popular` into `schlowger` it's almost Swedish soul music.
Thank you Sweden for sending such a masterpiece. And also for giving France 1 point in 2014 alongside Finland. I don't know if it was deserved but you both saved us from nul point. 😅
I remember not really enjoying this song so much when I first heard it. But, it was one of those that really grew on me as I listened to it more. Great reaction! I recommend checking out the non-qualifying entry from Israel in 2014 by Mei Finegold - Same Heart. The song is amazing, her performance was amazing and it's an utter shame that it never qualified. :)
Can you please react to esc 2013 Finland thats really crazy and surprising!! (Also to my all time favourite Estonia 2015!!) And here are some of the best non-english esc songs ever: -F.Y.R. Macedonia, Crno i belo, Caliopi 2012 she has very good vocals -Water, Bulgaria, 2007 it’s very......well confusing -2009, Estonia, Rändajad it’s very magical -Slovakia, Horehronie, 2010 it’s now one of the most listened esc song ever -Sweden 2009 that was really underratted it’s so wow
My personal winner (along with Hungary) that year. I’m sure it’s already mentioned on the comments but Sanna won MelFest on her 7th try. Her first attempt was at 16 in 2001. Another interesting fact: because “undo my sad” didn’t made sense, they added the word “love” to make sure people can understand it. Sometimes I joke around and sing “undo my seasonal affective disorder...” lol
If you liked that song, you should listen to her song "Empty room". That really shows how amazing her voice is. It came second in the Swedish Melodifestival but should have won that year.
Sweden always sends great songs. my favorite is from 2011 with Eric Saade who i think finished in 2nd or 3rd place? i also liked this years' a lot. it had an 80's vibe and i looove the 80's.
This is maybe my favourite ever wurovsion song ever I like love injected of course I like bangers such as replay and fuego but this has so much emotion what a song
Love your videos! Please react to Turkey 2008, Mor ve Ötesi - Deli. It's my favourite entry of all time ^^ although i have a soft spot for most turkish entries, so sad when they're not in eurovision
I love the big pop songs* of esc, but this stunning ballad is possibly my fav esc song. After Sweden's 2018's disaster of a song and their recent years performances, they need to go back to this - a big song, simple but powerful, but rely of on the song rather than gimmicks. (*I don't know if you have heard Sanna's other songs, she did a great upbeat anthem of a song: I'm In Love at Melfest 2011)
If you have time I suggest you react to her entry in Melodifestivalen in 2008. She won the public vote (but 3rd jury vote so she came in second) and it's still one of my favorite Melfest entries ever. I'm NOT a fan of the song we sent in 2008 and I must admit I'm still a little bitter about it... But I'm glad Sanna got to go to ESC in 2014 :D
I totally agree. *Empty Room* is such a beautiful song, so heartfelt, and I was so disappointed in 2008, when the juries preferred Charlotte Perelli instead. Here's a link to it: ruclips.net/video/w5BjDIU2Kso/видео.html
You should react to 2014 United Kingdom ... it was actually stunning and extremely underrated ... it the only time I was 1000% sure the U.K. might win apart from 2017 ... Molly was stunning and really made their proud ... and then we sent Electro Velvet 🙃
You should react to her entry in the Swedish national final "Melodifestivalen" from 2008 "Empty Room" it came second and is still one of my favorite songs of her.
I think you should react to Ace Wilder - Busy doin' nothin'. She finished second in Melodifestivalen, and lost to Sanna by only two points! I still think sending Ace would've been more fun.
Sweden 2011 or earlier. Or continue to react to ESC 2014 performances. Or interval acts like Jessica Mauboy ESC 2014(Which was kind of an introduction to Australia becoming a part of ESC.).
INTERSTING FACT Since 2011 Sweden's positions have been 3, 1, 3,14, 1, 5, 7, and now 5 in 2019 (after the results were corrected.) We never mention the results 2010 and before because there is nothing to be proud of. I used to watch the competition from 2004- 2010. Google tell me we came in 6, 19, 5, 18, 18, 21 place and didn't qualify at all 2010. Yeah I am serious. We brag a lot about recent years but we forget to mention that part! ;) I don't like the recent songs and think we get a great place in the final because people love to vote for us since we won. I don't think we actually deserve to come in the top 5 and 7 in recent years.
Started watching, but I just got the feeling that you don't feel so good, man. :/ Even if it's years later that you uplodaded this video, take care of yourself, okay?
The morning after the contest I flew from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Sanna and the Swedish delegation were on my flight. wish there was a "love" button on RUclips. LOL!
Amy Kelly there is but for the creator from the video
Awesome!
Sanna was my winner in 2014!
I like when you think for a 5 seconds after reaction, and then say: "What??"😂
I was so proud of Sanna that year. She's a veteran in Sweden and competed in Melodifestivalen 6 times before finally winning in 2014. And her third place in the grand finale was well deserved.
In 2014 I didn't pay attention to this song, but I played it a few days ago and now I can't stop listening.
eurovision can be funny like that! sometimes a year i dont appreciate a song at all but then i listen to it later and wonder how i didnt absolutely love it at the time!
Even the crowd sang with her. She got so robbed, she deserved to win!
Send something like this again,Sweden please.
I think that will be very hard. Since 2015 Melfest uses an app for voting, so since then there are more very young kids who are voting a lot. @@seanbonney5716 i somewhat agree i did like this years one though
Yessss! 2014 is amazing. I didnt mind too late for love but it was cheap
if i were sorry 2016 was pretty good tho?

I loved this song so much back in 2014 ♥ So happy I got to listen to in again. So good!
One of the best ballads in esc!!!
One of my favourite ESC songs ever!
I DONT KNOW why i fall in love with this song in this year, so weird, at that time i loved conchita song, anyway both songs are so magical beautiful and very powverful, and thanks to you for sharing your reactions,, salutes from lima peru

Wonderful Swedish singer. One of my all-time favorites.
She came 3rd, after the Netherlands and Austria (Conchita Wurst). Everyone was so happy for her to finally come to ESC after 7 attempts in Melodifestivalen. Empty Room was much better and authentic :)
Best lighting usage in ESC history. Simple but effective! Should've won!
Sanna Nielsen was actually one of our commentators this year :)
Zeljko joksimovic 2012 Nije ljubav stvar and 2004 lane moje (Serbia). Jade Ewan 2009 My Time (uk) Thank you!
Still one of my favourites to this day. Sweden was my winner that year.
I love the `arabic inflections` and she helped mutute `schlager` when it reached the buffers in 2011 with `Popular` into `schlowger` it's almost Swedish soul music.

One of the BEST lighting designs in ESC... ever...
Only song i've heard this competition where the crowd sings along with the song, that says something about the song.

Best song from her byfar
