@Toni Maretic my top 3 would be its not my 3 fav but what i think deserves it 1. Latvia 2. Russia 3. Italy Italy isnt my favourite but i can see it deserves it
Fun fact in this year of Eurovision (2015) the girl who represented Russia is a judge in the voice of Russia and Aminata participed at the voice and was in her team after the Eurovision !
Latvia was my absolute winner in 2015. Italy and Malta are in my top 3 too but Aminata was phenomenal. Can't believe she came the 6th. Real INJUSTICE!!! Amazing reaction as always, my dear friend
@@capybaking3149 I hate the juries too. they put MANS over that like .... >:( but at least the juries saw how good that was. Televoters were garbage that year.
Yes!!! Finally!!! I love Aminata. It remains the best Latvian entry so far. It still gives me the goosebumps ❤ Thank you for reacting to this. Your face lol... you made me laugh out loud. So glad I found your channel
Almost a year later and I'm still so pissed she didn't win like that voice is one in a billion ??? I remember watching this for the first time during the semi final and when she started I was like hm okay but then when she broke into the chorus my mouth fell open she had such rage and sang so perfect it's sad Latvia is so small and overlooked Aminata killed it and truly deserved to win! (But she's a winner in my heart)
One year after Eurovision, in September 2016, Aminata was in the Polina Gagarina`s team in The Voice Russia. I was in the shooting those season as a viewer on auditorium, and one day Aminata was so close to me, she is beauty. We as in shock, when Polina kicked out her in knockouts. She is realy good singer!
I've noticed over a couple of your recent videos you have a slight sync issue with the video, I can hear you're ahead through your headphone feedback (OCD sorry lol). Love your videos :)
The fact that people just have no patience! 2015 got Latvia's best result in a long time so it was really amazing for them. You're a great job Jake and I know you're a busy person, so go ahead and take your time with the videos, no need to rush. You still have tons of time until JESC and ESC 2019!!
Glad you decided to watch it in advance of the 2015 series! Knew it was going to leave you speechless (in a very good way). ☺️ Fun fact: she also wrote Latvia’s 2016’s entry. You’ll enjoy that too!
Hey Jake, love what you're doing! Just wanted to let you know that it's *OK* if you don't put out videos like you did during Eurovision! I think us fans get really excited sometimes, and so we don't realize that those expectations are unrealistic! Make sure you set the pace according to what you're comfortable with! (because I know we can be impatient people sometimes haha) We've got a year till the next Eurovision, so no rush :) All the best from California!
So creative, delicate and dark. I love stuff like this. It reminds me a bit of Banks the artist. I just love that beat and music production, her costume and make up on her hands and her hand Choreography is mesmerising. And the voice!
My favorite that year, easily. I'm still waiting for your reaction on Latvia and Italy 2016. I assume their coming out in the upcoming days, since they were placed 15th and 16th, which was way too low. Frencesca Michielin is probably my biggest idol ever, every song she produces is a masterpiece.
yes latvia! this was my 2nd behind belgium for 2015 and it's so iconic and aminata is such a talent. she also solely wrote and composed heartbeat, latvia 2016's entry, which someone else performed but he was equally as talented imo (i guess you'll see for yourself soon), and they're pretty much considered latvia's best entries to date
I’m Latvian, I was born there and lived there for 13 years of my life until moving 3 years ago! I remember this song and I remember watching it on tv and it kind of made me cry. It’s a very beautiful song and deserved so much more recognition ! 6th place isn’t bad for such a small country like Latvia but we deserved at least top 5 👀
I still cannot believe this song ended up 'so low'... every other year it would've won... I might not remember eurovision 2015 in details but all i know is Latvia and Belgium 2015 (you should be reacting to Loic 2015 btw... exceptional...) 2015 was such a strong year... Damn...10-15 songs were killers that year... And Aminata... damn .... she killed it straight away!!!!
She was my 2nd place that year, I love this song to death. It's nice to hear your nice comments about it. Looking forward to your reaction to Italy 2015 (my winner)
If you really wanna hear super strong voice, I recommend you to react Albania 2012. That is so f**king weird, it's not pop, not opera, not any of the recognisable genres, but it's amazing and unusual for all-times-Eurovision-songs. Albania finished 5th that year being usually an outsider in Eurovision. So that singer was an Albanian miracle
2015 had some of the best live vocals in any of the contests that I've seen (2010-present). 2015 will NOT disappoint you. Sidenote: Aminata participated in the Voice Russia and Polina Gagarina was her coach! She didn't make it very far, unfortunately, but it was so cool to see them reunited.
It's one of the most modern and innovative songs in recent years, and one of the cases that shows that juries are needed to reward good songs (even if they fail sometimes, the same year Estonia deserved way better from the juries)
She came in 2nd with the jury and was only behind Måns. This is one entry where the jury did make the right call, sad that the televote couldn't give her the top 5.

What is so amazing with this, is like with Jamala... She's really eminating the song, and this is what's happens when the song is written and performed by the same person. The lyrics get so much more alive and emotional and TRUE! E P I C performance and SONG!
I'm glad my country, Lithuania, gave her 12 points. Aminata was the first in both jury and televoters selections. The song, the voice, and the performance were stunning. And I liked this entry more than Sweden's tbh

For me, 2015 was one of the best Eurovision years with so many good songs. You'll probably like a lot of them when you react to the whole thing.
For me too, 2015 rules!
I concur. I mean, it had Bojana from Serbia, Loic from Belgium, Polina from Russia, Il Volo from Italy etc - what a great year!
Eleni Pantzouri as goes for 2018 this year I had 21 favorites....crazy right. The level was very high....very promising I think
Eleni Pantzouri 2015 is my favorite contest song-wise... Even Slovenia and Estonia too...Norway also...
Steffen Kjeldsen yes also this year's contest has sooo many good songs
This song gives such mysterious vibes. Just how'd f*** Televoting underrated it. One example when Juries actually did smth 🤣😂
Eurovision Estonia 2nd in juries!!
Justin Angelo Alvarez Ikr 😑
Because all the televotes were given to Italy.
This is why we need juries.
I voted for this sooooo many times! Epic!
"There exist nothing Aminata could not sing" (Polina Gagarina, the runner up of of ESC 2015)
But in the "Voice of Russia" she's choose songs not for her.. Like Polina Gagarina's songs.
Aminata struggles with lower notes
or, that‘s a great compliment!
She's very talented. She also wrote the Latvia 2016 entry which you're about to react to.
