Hey Sam, the Audi S5 is not making only 500, or maybe owner meant 500WHP which would make more sense (620-660 BHP) Because the turbo upgrade (pure 750) just like it name mentions, is capable of doing up to 750BHP. FBO stage 2 with no turbo upgrade makes 500BHP,now imagine with big turbo upgrade. Thanks for the great video as always.

Thank you, the mods don’t match up to the claimed horsepower very often on this channel. Tuners love to overrate and underrate their horsepower but it could also be a miscommunication
It all comes down to fueling and fuel upgrades these cars with pure 750s usualy around 500 wheel without the hp fuel pump and fuel injectors with them and e85 some guys have seen upwards of 620 wheel

I think a new CLA stock would probably smoke the Golf R that Audi is a V6 with big turbo

It's crazy that the Golf R did as well as it did with just a stage 1 tune, this would have been a better race if the Audi and Mercedes were both stock and the Golf R had the stage 1 tune in my opinion.
No it wouldn’t. Look up what these cars do in stock form.
The S5 in stock form is closer to the Mk8 GTI than the Golf R, surprisingly.
If they were all stock or all had a stage 1 tune (meaning tune only, stock hardware), then the race would be interesting.
Not one having an upgraded turbo and made up power ratings. We have no idea what the cars were really making. Only the possibility that the S5 is making 530awhp and that’s only because I did research
The power to weight was accurate. This was a good drag race. If the figures were accurate. If people lied about the power then the s5 had a big advantage. The stage 2+ R turbo maxes out at 460-70hp so it would have beat the Mercedes because it’s newer better gearbox and quicker spooling turbo from factory
But That Golf R is SLOW for att 400+ tune!!. Mine Mk8R does the same numbers stock!!. So something wrong with that tune on the Golf :(

I mean the man was tricked by some shitty tuner for his M3 in front of everyone and had no idea.
All it takes is to ask what tune it has, listing the tuner in the mods list and looking up how much it makes to the wheels and list everyone’s wheel horsepower and torque ratings.
Absolutely no effort put in this channel, I know children that can do better.

That Golf R is basically a little better than stock without the TCU tune, it can't have Full Torque. My stock Golf R ran a 12.41 1/4 mile with good DA.
Yup I ran a 12.4 myself also. I think that car did run a 11.7 on some other video

Lol at this race. The difference between the stock R and stock S5 is a mere 35bhp and 700lbs in favor of the VW. The power numbers for a stage 2 S5 is about 455bhp. Given that the S5 probably has an upgraded turbo and the lack of proper mods on the R made this race unsubstantiated. Give the R a hybrid turbo with the same mods and the race has a different ending lol😅

You can only get an ecu tune and tcu tune, but we have no idea what that is and the wrong power (and torque) ratings tells us nothing. It deceives the guys that know little to nothing.
Put some effort into your channel, this channel is catered to the fake car enthusiast that probably drives a riced out Toyota or a bone stock Hyundai

Hi Sam, you should start adding power to weight calculations as well per car so we can see how the weight factors in against all the cars when comparing their power figures.

We have no idea what these cars are actually making in this race.
We can only assume that the Amg and R are making their supposed crank ratings and the S5 making that power to the wheels.
True ratings via the tuners website and torque figures as well at what rpm while also telling us what tuner would fix that.
It seems that Sam doesn’t care to dive deeper, all it takes is asking what tuner/tune and looking up what power to the wheels the cars are making
Otherwise these cars are useless and this is just a money grab for same to deceive fake car enthusiasts

What happened was that Sam didn’t bother asking what tune each car had and spend a few seconds looking how much power it would make.
This isn’t a real car enthusiast channel.
I bet Sam doesn’t even know the difference between crank and wheel horsepower.
I mean look at the tune he promoted for his M3. That’s a shitty weak tune and he didn’t even know what it did to his car, he fell for the marketing scam.
Spend a minute or two and give us the true wheel horsepower and torque ratings of each car.
You have a decently big channel, put an ounce of effort into it.

Clearly 500awhp. The 750 turbo is wheel hp. Closer to 600 crank. A stage 1 tune on the Audi with e85 is 500 crank. Plus that car should be high 10s.... Well in theory that is.
Definitely wheel horsepower.
Integrated Engineering’s 93 tune for the Pure 750 is 527awhp, no other tune for that turbo comes close to that “530hp”.
That’s an significant difference.
This S5 would’ve been better off racing the last M340i from earlier races.
Only a true car enthusiast or someone with at least half a brain will understand what the figures are wrong.
Seems like it just gives Sam a good time in someone else’s car and a few bucks in his pocket. This channel could be so much better with someone else running it. It’s a shame because he has good reach to invite people

Exactly. At the very least could have had a 2017 model which makes 25 more hp and better transmission, plus better mods to accompany that, many A45/ CLA45 Make low 11s so could have been a better match. Stage 2 2020 plus models better match up indeed.
I thought the newer 421 hp cla was mainly software changes not hardware so this one with a tune should be similar

That Golf R it barely is 350bhp or it is the slowest stage 1 Ive ever seen on the net..
With a proper stage 1 these cars are easily deep into 11s on the 1/4 mile
Few comments:
1. Specs of the cars are not complete; you need to add the torque and maybe power to weight ratio too.
2. The pace of the videos is not dynamic, I ffw most of it.
3. You can hardly understand when and where the race begins.
4. Camera angles are not the best
5. No time data about the drag race
6. What is the test race? We don't need it.

the G8R for tune only, is impressive compared to the CLA45 for stage 2 with FBO, differences are marginal over 400m, but only a longer distance the difference in the higher gears would be more apparent
Stage 1+ Golf is impressive, stage 2 FBO close to 500 hp , would love to see S5 vs Stage 2 mk8 FBO

I love these drag races! I noticed sometimes you keep all car stats on screen at same time so it is easy for us to compare and other times you don't. Also: A summary at the end would rock, showing something like "Car A: 2 wins, Car B: 1 Win, Car C: 3 wins" but also a bit more detail like, "Won in 2 roll races and 1 drag..."

The gearbox on the golf R was struggling as f*** 😢cause it's not programed to handel that power(430 hp) ... Definitely needs some tuning nd it will be faster with the same mods on the engine ... The result of the drag race can tell you everything: stock golf R mk8 do the 1/4 mile in 12.7s nd this tuned golf with 430 hp wich is 110hp more did it in 12.3 ?!! That's nothing compared to the power n all the work n money that they added to the engine... Soooo please golf owner do some stage 1+ TCU tuning and come back for another drags ❤
