Save your hands and use a rubber mallet . I remember the days when used my hands like you did and now feel it ! As you get older odd pains will show up out of nowhere ! Great video !
Hey brother, please don't be mad at me (lol) but you can also use the 2020 Silverado brake / calipers that are 13.5 in. For you .5 is not a huge difference but other folks can use that option instead. You do have to use a washer to center the caliper but that's the only thing needed to do. I upgraded my brakes on my 2001 Sierra and going from 12 inches to 13.5 seriously made a difference. I will no longer hydro-boost (I don't even tow with it regardless).
Man, you make my day every time you drop a new video! Keep up the great content, and I can’t wait to see what you do next to this truck. My 04’ Z71 GMC will be getting dropped so all this info is awesome! 🤘🏻
Really liking the new stance and wheels, great choice! Wondering why when you go to all the trouble of painting spindles, shocks, and new calibers that when the suspension is out of the way why you don’t go ahead and wire wheel the frame and spray it also? Eastwoods rust encapsulator drys to a nice satin sheen with a couple coats applied. Top notch video as always! Thanks
Looks better each video and I enjoy the long videos! Hope you do the coil over, been thinking about doing my 2000 Z71. Don't know if you mentioned it, can you do the big brake install with the factory 16" wheels? ✌🏻
Hey Travis I have a 03 yukon 2wd I wanna put the big breaks on it does it have to be only 07 breaks only or can it be 07 and up since all my local junk yards don’t have any 07 only 08 and up please let me know thank
Sorry. Newbie here. Enjoy all your content and helps with fixing up my Sierra. I was wondering if you have used the DJM lower controls arms to lower a truck and if they work with the factory 16" wheels. I have a set of 20s, but I happen to also live in an area where I don't want to drive with them in the winter months. Thanks
@@TWAMotorsports understood. i was trying to find a way to lower my truck, not alot, and still be able to use my factory wheels. Was just not sure about just going springs.
. I’m planning on doing this to my 2001 Suburban 4x4 and these will come in handy. Is everything pretty much the same as your truck? Also do you think I should upgrade as well. Coming up to 300k thanks much. Also some off the shots are a bit dark and shadows.but your info is awesome
Would realy be a good option for him especially if he hauls the camaro!! 4x4 for the winter time! I don't have the snow problem down in south Louisiana
From when you first showed us this truck to now is like night and day already. Already looks way better.
Thank you. Small things make a huge difference
@@TWAMotorsports agree
Nothing like coming home from work and tuning in to your videos💪🏽🫡

I have a 06 and i recently got the bug to fix it, so far i put some 2023 calipers and rotors and the whole front suspension

Thank you. Hopefully it helps.
Learning so much. Love the vids. Length of your video isn’t a problem. Love the content and the learning process. Thanks!! From Wyoming!!
Thank you. Hopefully they help

@@TWAMotorsports that por 15 caliper paint looks 1000000 times better than the VHT paint
Totally agree

I generally do but didn't want overspray on all the stuff in the garage
Been looking for a good how to on the atomic fab coilover setup on the 4wds, wanna turn my 07 classic crew cab into a trx pretty much
They look nice but haven't tried them yet.
Do a 2/4 drop on it would look 🔥🔥🔥
Not sure yet but maybe eventually

Thank you. I don't think a 16 will fit but can't confirm that.
Have you ever lowered a 2001-2007 classic 2500HD 4x4? Would love a video of it!!
I haven't

08 is the same for the front

Not sure if they work with 16s. I am not a big fan of djm arms

Spindles will generally require 17s
@@TWAMotorsports just what I don't want. Try and find another set of wheels. lol. Thanks for the info tho.
You're welcome
Good morning what year Tahoe for front brakes I did my back brakes off of 04 Tahoe I got 04 Silverado Z71
Link to all parts in. Video description
Is that a 57 chevy I see in the reflection of your truck 😮
No
How would you measure this one up to the grey full size u had few months ago
This one needs a lot more little stuff. Gray one was way nicer starting point

Yes they are pretty much the same. I would definitely upgrade
@@TWAMotorsports thanks for your response. Keep it up
You're welcome. I'm gonna try
I have a '03 as well but 2wd. Same parts?
Yes brakes but not front brake lines.
Do you have a link for that dolly you sit in? Thanks 🙏
I used to list it but they have been out of stock for a while now.
air suspension? i also never liked or understood why they used torsion bars.
ah coilover setup...I didn't wait long enough before commenting!
No air but I too hate torsion bars.
Son's new work truck?? A bit bigger and 4x4!
True. Thought about that actually
Would realy be a good option for him especially if he hauls the camaro!! 4x4 for the winter time! I don't have the snow problem down in south Louisiana
We don't get much snow either
Maybe I missed something are you building a 4wd drag racer?
No. Just a driver
The only time I’ve seen anybody do the front coilovers on a 4wd it’s to go racing
Several do it for improved ride quality
How much you pay for the Sierra and how many miles on it
4k. 250k on body. 100k on drivetrain
