the ULTIMATE SILVERADO INTERIOR UPGRADE & DIC wiring how-to GMT800

The interior of Uglytruck my 2000 Silverado 1500 has seen better days, and the dashboard was cracked beyond repair, so it was time to do something about it, and make a few more upgrades at the same time. A short time ago, I had the opportunity to grab a complete interior from a 2001 GMC Yukon Denali, and now its getting transplanted into my GMT800 Silverado, which means its getting a new instrument cluster, new center console, new dash top, and of course the new cluster bezel, transforming the inside of my Silverado into a near denali. These steps are specific for a 1999-2002 silverado and sierra, but the same basic concepts can apply for the later 2003 to 2007 silverado and sierra as well. Also, we're wiring in a drivers information center/trip computer or DIC into the console to help keep track of the silverado fuel mileage from the turbo big block. I do love the gadgets, and it will be cool to watch it run. I had thought about installing the leather denali seats into my silverado, but because my rear seats are cloth it would be a mis match, and that would bug me so I decided against doing that.
