    I no longer support Aroid Asia. A reel was posted on their instagram page without my permission (deleted now). I have no problem calling out companies that do this to me and take advantage of my content for advertising purposes. A unboxing video is all that they asked me to make in exchange for the plants. They never reimbursed the $25 fee that they said they would either. I just wanted to make you aware if you're considering importing from them 💚 I have the DM and emails as receipts 📄

    I enjoy your videos! Try trimming the stems on your undulata shorter, even with the new roots they’ve already grown.The stem may be too long or might die off at the end (as you saw), not allowing water to uptake to the leaves. Maybe cut into one-.leaf cuttings, each with about 4” of stem. If you do not see sap emerge from the cut edge of the stem after you make the cut, it means that part of the stem is dead. Sometimes stems can look really woody but still have sap (not yours, of course!) Take care!

      It can be risky and hard to trust or find someone/a company you can rely on. I personally wouldn't order from them because they never refunded me $25 I had to pay like they said they were going to. I wasn't made aware I had to pay anything since the video exchange was for the plants. Just sketchy.

    Do you need a high humidity cabinet to have an Alocasia frydek, variegated? We don't have very much humidity in Colorado, 30-40 % in summer, without supplementary humidifier? I will supplement in winter with heating. I need to know as have access to one right now at a fair price, but don't want to waste the moey if won't fare well. Tia

      I bring mine out every spring. They love it. I monitor for pests, just like I would inside. I also use systemic granules, which I have found to be very effective.

    • @plantsbymelissa
      @plantsbymelissa  Год назад +1

      The ones enclosed in my patio area not really that much but the ones outside of that I have a few out back and out front that I’ll definitely have to treat before bringing them back inside. I don’t like using pesticides but I haven’t decided exactly how to treat them. The ones last summer I just brought back in in the fall and they seemed ok 😂 but now I worry about spiders and ants and whatever else might be lurking 👀
