I recently got this model, Jailbroke it with hen and now, I am playing all the games I ever wanted back when I was a child, including those that are already available in PC, this console is indeed still holding the test of time
I forgot to mention that I also play PS2 games on this, the Slim is very much backwards compatible, there is just a few specific games that require tweaking is all

Ahh okay. The ps3 slim is good. My opinion get the slim cuz the phat has more vents and its wsy easier to catch ylod but on slim its harder. And super slim is way tricky to get.

I loved so much about the PS3. It really changed the way we see the gaming world today. The online element alone with PSN, the games, Blu Ray disc compatibility, and it also had a really great startup. The source of that startup sound was something out of an orchestra with the sound of the tuning of a violin from what I know, something along those lines. Even though they didn’t get the party system going until the PS4, it still felt like it brought people together so much more than before.

This was the first ever PlayStation console that gave users a tons of experiences which is a big step for Sony.
I had a PS3 Slim Model and i didn't know it was the slim version because my dad bought it when I was a kid. But I really loved design of this console but I thought Original PS3 and Super Slim was cooler.

PSP Go PSP 2000 all in great shape oh and non Sony product got an Nintendo Switch and what I use today PS4 launch model got 2 of them PS4 Slim PS4 Pro in black and PS4 Pro in white PS4 Slim in gold and a custom PS4 Uncharted model.

The PS3 is honestly one of my favorite consoles of all time. I personally enjoyed it more than the PS4, and made many memories playing LittlebigPlanet 1/2.
lbp 2 is my favorite game of all time. I have so many great memories of playing it on my ps3
need for speed rivals on the ps3 man i loved it need for speed rivals it was soo fun and i still have the ps3 but my sister completely snapped my nfs rivals disc so i cant play it anymore but i still enjoy gran tourismo

I remember thinking that 320 GB used to be a lot back in those days. Now you need like 3 terabytes in order to install games that are over 100 GB. It’s insane how technology is advancing.
The fact a 21st century gameboy advance didn't even have 1MB of ram, and now we're so advanced that a text file has more storage than a GBA's ram

This ps3 honestly symbolizes a lot more than a gaming console, it really means, this is what you’re going to come home and get lost inside of when you were 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 years old, I got my first ps3 when I was 12 in dec 2010 and I was lucky enough to get another one (this model) the next year for Xmas, (split parents). But it let me escape my somewhat shitty life for a bit and meet so many awesome friends, I still talk to one of my friends I met on Gta4 in January 2011. It’s crazy how much joy this has brought me over the years, idk if it’s my age or whatever but ps4 will not hold a candle to the beautiful “home” that I called the ps3. I mean the nostalgia with it alone is amazing. My absolute favorite game is black ops 1 cause me and a friend used to 1v1 each other all the time when he had no internet on his xbox and it made me want one so bad and I got a ps3 a little bit later

I remember getting this model after my phat PS3 had overheating issues. The nostalgia is real! I was so glad to be able to play PS3 again, was an amazing system for its time.

this model of PS3 was the first proper console I ever played. We had a wii in 2007 but I never really considered it very good. I used to play stuff like Gran Turismo 5, MW2 Local Multiplayer, Borderlands 2, NFS Undercover and all sorts. My uncle still kept it around although the blu-ray drive no longer works. and I have to say this is probably the most visually appealing PS3 they ever made.

Everyone I knew had a 360 and I was probably the only PS3 owner out of my friends

I had a Ps3 slim, since 2010 or something. When I was little it magically appeared and I dont remember who got it for me. I still have it and while my friends played on their Ps4’s I was the only one with the 3 Slim. Seriously for over 10 years and it still works congrats Sony.

I’m 16 now and a die-hard ps4 player and I just dusted off my ps3 and man what a nostalgia rush. I remember play transformers ROTF and Lego Batman lll ALLLLL the time.
Man the memories are hitting super hard, I remember when me and brother were super excited for black ops 2 and me and him would play on a daily basis whether it would be on my ps3 or his xbox 360😅.

I remembered having a PS3 back in 2013, I had a lot of amazing games on this console. My favorite PS3 games are, The Orange Box, Portal 2, Skyrim, and Minecraft: PS3 Edition. I enjoyed these titles back in the day.
