Oud beersel is lovely. For me, living in Belgium, it is really easy and cheap and outstanding. I don't know if you had their special geuze Vandervelden135. If not do try to get it. Hanssens I just love the sharpness. One of my favorite krieks. Cantillon is very good and Cuvee Rene Kriek is also a lovely example. And I just realized now that I never tried Girardin! And I like their Geuze Black label a lot! My favorite Kriek is Kriek Lou Pepe from Cantillon. But doesn't come out often. They have it in the bar usually. Outstanding. Cheers!

Nice review.Just came back from Brussels and i think my favorite kriek would be De Ranke. It's a blend and has great balance and strong brettiness. Cheers!
I've had a 1 month old Cantillon's and it was the most sour I have I ever tasted in any drink or food. Through the roof tartness. On the other hand, fresh Rose and Fou'foune were just about half as sour.

Actually ‘kriek’ is Flemish for sour cherry. A sweet cherry, the kind you would eat as a snack we call ‘kers’.
The world of Krieks is so big and so small.

we kept one for 7 years, it was super! sourness less aggressive too.
Only tried the Cantillon and Girardin, must check out that Beersel & the Hanssens
