That is one aesthetically pleasing guitar...I thought the body shape was a little odd, until I saw the finished product. You are truly a gifted designer...Love it....
Your attention to detail is incredible, I love the finish and the way you have carved the neck. I wondered why the lamination seemed to veer from the centre line, but now it makes absolute sense. As always an inspired design and wonderful craftsmanship! Cheers Dave
I'd like to see this contest take on a more permanent aspect with a known starting and ending date that's fixed like a holiday on a calendar every year. Then it could grow and be properly promoted like an Indianapolis 500 race or Super Bowl event that people follow and look forward to each year. Maybe even a centralized You Tube channel just for this event so we could subscribe to it and have instant access to all the contenders each year. The channel could have individual playlists to separate each builders videos and progress.
Wow that came out super cool. The color is a lot darker than I expected it to be under the clear. Gives a super warm feel to it and the top just jumps out with all that shine! I need to get me some of those buffer pads for a drill. I did all my shiny by hand and it takes FOR EVER to get half that depth.
Really nice guitar Scott! I like the body shape and the stain is made perfect! I also like the transition between the top and the headstock with this beautiful stained binding! Great job 👍🏼
Awesome build! I loved seeing the angle grinder come out, it's SO satisfying to carve big chunks with. I actually busted out loud laughing at the booty shot during your music "video."
Always love the vids. Not much on the learning (teaching) side. ALWAYS entertaining. I like the look of the jack. But it looks like it would get in the way the way I play. Love the color, the choice of wood, and the detail.
Absolutely stunning Scott. Genuinely so. As ever, I am in awe of your skills and talent. I’ve never played a multi scale, I’m probably a little set in my ways but I look at that and think Fender > Gibson makes a huge amount of sense along with the asymmetric carve, it’s a guitar I want to play. And the finish, oh my! I’ve said it before, but a quality of work that’s both inspirational and aspirational. Agree on your thoughts where ggbo may end up, but it’s people like you and the wider the community that made me want to try and build something and to do it twice more. I’ve had a bit of a year, bit off more than I could chew and I’m so behind on, well everything, particularly my RUclips friends and mentors but I’ll get there. Respect man and a genuine thank you for your encouragement and support.
Thanks so much man, you guys that watch and give me feedback make it all worth it. Your build is in my top five this year. Really beautiful design and execution.
@@BoneheadGuitars wow, really? Thanknyiu so much, that's really surprised me and made me grin like a fool. I'm desperately trying to finish a video and demo.
I really like the way the colors turned out on the top and the overall look of this guitar. Using the same colors on the binding really made it pop. Well done sir.
Amazing guitar, that binding on the fretboard is way too cool. I am just about to record my sound demo but after watching yours i can see that there is no point, you win. Congrats on an awesome guitar man 👍 (Also that daw is amazing, converting URLs into wavs automatically)
This guitar came out amazing. I want to play it and try that neck out. Great job on the Aces High too. Loved the vid, the guitar, the whole thing. In my top of my list for sure
Turned out beautiful Scott. Sounds great as well. Wondering how judging is going to work with folks like you posting really good progress videos and this final vid was very good. Compared to those who just submit a picture. Seems like the video group would have a leg up but it's hard to say. If a picture can be judged it seems more like an art contest then an instrument contest. As for the judging I would say you should place very high in an apples to apples show down.
After previous years, I really don't expect much or care much about the vote. It'll be fun trying to make my own selections, but we'll see how it all goes. All in good fun anyway.
That quilted maple is perfect for the shape. I guess you can't say finishing is your weak point anymore because that is first class! Would be a hard one to part with, but how many guitars can you have right? Beautiful creation Scott
I was commissioned for a friends son, Ace. Hence the song choice. But I've known from the beginning it's not staying with me. But I will never forget that dye combo.
Just rewatching this. It's such a cool finish!
Great ideas
Well executed

Gorgeous guitar, Scott. Your best one yet, in my opinion. Congratulations on an awesome build.
Guitar came out great, the color works really well on that quilted maple top.
Beautiful guitar Scott. I totally saw an old version of Kai when I saw your hair combed at the beginning of the video.
That thing is stunning, brother!!!

Very well spoken on the podcast about GGBO. Cheers
I can just envision you in the Thanksgiving kitchen, sportin' your sassy apron!
🤣😂🤣 I was like "hey mom, you got an apron? I don't wanna ruin another tank with flying car polish"
