Copper Leaf Patina Hollow "PRS" | Full Build | Great Guitar Build Off 2023 Kit - 2nd Place

- Update: I've made the 2nd place in the kit build category. Thank you so much everyone for voting.
It's my entry to the Great Guitar Build Off 2023 - Kit Category (full build video + demo).
I am building a "PR" kit from Guitar Kit World and I'll do a special acid corroded copper leaf (copper patina) design.
In this build I am going to extreme lengths of guitar customization.
I'll do several things for the first time (risky): I'm replacing a fretboard, I'm shaping an asymmetrical neck by hand and I'm installing frets.
I hope you'll enjoy the result.
The voting for the competition will be done amongst the contestants. The results will be announced in December.

That is a really cool effect! No reason to be embarrassed!!! Excellent.
Late to the party, but WOW!!! Excellent work!
That is a very nice guitar. You have done a great job with the copper leaf. Giving some of the hardware copper plating really adds a nice touch to the overall look of the guitar. Best of luck in the competition.
It’s weird in the best way, I can’t think of anything else like this look you’ve done… I love it
Now that with copper leaf is sweet!
WOW - Looks gorgeous, love it, well done.
killer guitar
Looks great, love all the extra work! Sounds sweet, congratulations and cheers
Outstanding job! I really love the copper leaf!
beautiful guitar. Love the patina
Super cool. Great job.
Great looking guitar! Love how you keep pushing your boundaries on every build.
Georg, awesome built!
Wow, einfach wow, ein Wahnsinn. Nämlich alles, die Gitarre, die Arbeit, das Video und die Qualität von allen diesen. Geil!
Danke Dave :)
Super cool! Congrats man 👏👏💚 Love watching these videos 🤘
thank you so much m8
Great job it looks great. I have always love the "leaf" look whether copper, silver or gold.
It turned out very nice! I've used a salt and vinegar mixture on copper scratch plates, and limescaling gel works well too.
thanks m8 :)
Very nice.👌🏻
Masterpiece
thank you so much
Sehr gutes Video.
The Prs hollow is totally hollow. Only have masive Wood down the Bridge, to screw It.
There's a great video in RUclips. It's a Prs Factory tour . The video is more than one hour.
now thats probably the first copper burst ive ever seen! a crazy idea to copperplate the parts, but it really gave em a look that fits the guitar, awsome job!
Really nice! Any thoughts about using copper-plated pickup covers? Good luck!
It can be done. But copper will have discoloration over time, it'll turn black/dark brown, unless it's sealed with a clear coat
So I only copper plated small pieces of the hardware. And discoloration will fit the overall design in this case
Im no guitar builder but i understand how the truss rod works. I have worked with the "liquid wood" before. Are you not worried that the epoxy will affect the truss rod operation at all? Not throwing shade. Like i said, im no builder. Genuinely just curious.
you're right to be concerned. The way I did it was risky. While I was gluing on the fretboard, I made sure to rotate the truss rod every once in a while (in it's "dead zone" where it wouldn't bend the neck). And luckily, none of the epoxy grabbed the truss rod in the end.
Next time I glue on a fretboard, I'll do a cleaner job.
*chefs kiss* beautiful
😀 "Promosm"
Are you Austrian? Your accent is very similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger's to my ear.
I am, yes :)
