@@bhartissimo it’s all going to be on the great guitar build off website. It was supposed to go live today. Not sure what’s going on. Hopefully it will go live soon 👍
I have two hobbies. Woodworking and guitar collecting/playing. I’ve watched hundreds if not thousands of RUclips videos on woodworking and guitar building. This is BY FAR the best I’ve seen. Tamars videos are incredible and super helpful. I truly appreciate her work and love her enthusiasm. I truly appreciate your videos and if the fellas at Woodcraft are reading this, I’m buying the Rikon 16” bandsaw at Woodcraft since they chose to sponsor your work!!!
I have a carpenter bee that lives in a bamboo pole right next to my workbench, less than a foot away. He/she is really chill. Only comes out just before lunch time, sometimes does a little sweep over me and the bench to check out whatever project I'm working on, then goes away to do whatever it is that he/she does. I'd hate to get stung, but there really is absolutely no aggression in this one.
You had me on the thumbnail and hit like before watching. It's just one of those videos that I felt would be awesome, and it truly was. I am a sucker for matte-black(ish) color on guitars and that leather dye nailed it oh so well. The brass was absolute genius too! I don't have anything close to your shop, but use the inside corner of a benchtop to file and sand things like the cutouts in your pattern. A few quick clamps keep it from moving with the files. Another epic build. I call you my favorite RUclipsr [woodworker category].
I could rewatch all your guitar build all day long. Every design is so unique and stylish and every time I watch I wanna just go build one and learn to play on it!!!
Wow going back 3 years to your channel intro to half a million subscribers. Simply amazing progress Tamar. The guitar is awesome. Thanks for the journey so far. Top respect from the UK 🇬🇧

Wow Tamar, great project build, without sounding sexist, I really enjoy your video's, most men on RUclips build great project but expect you to know and understand every step, so glad you explain why you are doing things. Almost 1/2 million subscribers, keep going and thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! Actually just had a conversation with a friend in person who told me the same thing. And he was concerned about it sounding sexist. I appreciate the compliment
Thankyou for the inspiration. I built a jazzmaster a year ago and it turned out horrible. Everything just went to crap and left me disappointed. I gave up with the idea of building guitars but after seeing this, now I am suddenly inspired and motivated.
Very pleased to watch you create another strong entry this year. There's something to be said for watching someone who so obviously loves music playing a guitar they just friggin' made. Not something you get to see very often. One last thing. You have repeatedly proven time and again that you can recover from just about any mishap, so, remember that and relax! :) Thanks for sharing!
It's always scaring going out of the comfort zone but you nailed it (again, like last year). You are absolutely right picking golden Bridge, tuners and Pickup covers. Every other colour would have probably interfered with the brass mesh.
If you're afraid of bees, use a spray bottle with water and spray the water over the bee in the air. When these fine waterdrops hit the bee, it's thinking it begins to rain and rushes at home... And the other bees around follow... Also it didn't makes them aggressiv, what mostly will end with a sting. Works also great with hornets, bumblebees, more agressive wasp, etc... BTW: great build and good playing, like the look.

Tamar’s building another guitar… I’m gonna be educated, entertained and impressed for about a half hour, so don’t bother me. You never disappoint! Thanks!
I am in awe of your great idea; Besides, as you made the guitar step by step, you are a genius. I once asked you to play the guitar because you are a very good concert performer, and today I was amazed at how well you play the instrument. Every three or four videos, you have to dedicate one to playing a song, because you also have a very good talent for music. I can only thank you and congratulate you.
It is and has been such a joy to watch you work on the various project over the years. I admire your "fearless" tackling of projects and woodworking skills that are sometimes outside of your comfort zone; a noteworthy character trait. The guitar is gorgeous! Great design. Always looking forward to a new video from you. Which by the way you are a very good videographer. I hope the YouTubing is as enjoyable for you as the woodworking obviously is.
So awesome to hear! The filming is not my favorite and takes me way longer to actually make things. But it’s better than dealing with customers who I would have to build things for as the alternative to turn this hobby into a career... ha!
Tamar, you are so good at design work !!! No less than inspirational to the woodworking community. I love your zest for challenges !!! You go girl !!!!
After being down with a terrible cold this weekend, this video was like medicine for the soul, and nose! And who knew WD-40 cleans out the rust in my sinuses! Great job as always!

And again....what an awesome built..the taste, the visual effect..the shapes..and the colors and the over all result.. that is TAMAR..you are really amazing ...take care😍😍😍💕💕💕💕
Oh look, Brad Angove commented! So, the tone is not going to be affected with a semi-hollow body. Electric guitars are, mmm, 95%-ish controlled by the electronics. Proof of that is people who build guitars out of the most gawd-awful material (colored pencils, recycled plastic, license plates, pallet wood) and they sound great. This build is one that makes me happy and want to cheer you on and sad that I'm not building and finishing guitars any more. I'm pretty sure my ex didn't like me working on guitars even though it was SO fun! I did a re-saw of a body I built. Top was mesquite wood and body was ash. Pickup pockets were pre-cut and the re-saw totally ripped up the thin walls of the cavities. The guy who cut it felt bad, I didn't. In the future, make a blank to put in the cavities before re-sawing. I like your project. Hope it wins! I bet after the brass "ages" it will start to take on a changing patina and look.
You've done it again. I really like your guitar shapes and look. Ben Craw should learn from your approach, simplicity, functionality, comfort, and beauty.
That came out great, I am a sucker for a matte / satin finish on a guitar. It is a little blingy for my taste but the gold hardware was definitely the right choice.
I typically don't care for offset body styles, but you really got this sharp. Just totally nailed all the lines to make this look fabulous. Well done. I could see that one coming off a production line easily, which is very rare for hand made guitars. Hat's off to you!

Tamar, you KILLED IT! That guitar looks so dope and your order of operations making it was seriously perfect. If recommend it to people wanting to do a chambered guitar build. I would've liked a belly carve on it I think, and maybe skip the pickup surrounds but seriously, I think you should win
Just a few observations that you may want to consider. You didn't show much of the wiring and shielding but here are my suggestions. First: the backs of the cavity covers should also be shielding with the shielding tape. Second: The shielding tape should come onto the lip of the cavity as to be in contact with the tape in the cavity when cover is screwed on. Third: You need to connect each cavity's shielding with the other cavities shielding. Meaning solder a ground wire to the toggle switch cavity shielding and run it to the neck pickup cavity and solder it. Then solder another ground wire to the neck pickup cavity shielding and run it to the bridge pickup cavity and solder. Then run a ground wire from the bridge pickup cavity(soldered, of course) to the electronic cavity and solder it to the shielding. Then, finally, solder a ground wire to the back of the volume pot and solder the other end to the shielding in the electronics cavity. Doing all this will take any hum and send it through the ground and get rid of it.
Nice job looks amazing and beautiful. I came across an older video of yours, the one where you make the Jig for your router (two peaces of wood joined with a piano hinge) well at the end of the video you said you think there was a way to make it without measuring from the bit to the edge. Well for me this was a red rag to a bull, I just had to figure it out. So I have watched that video 13 times and then it clicked in my head how to make it without measuring, but by this time I had already copied your way and made one (Works great by the way, so thank you) But because I figured it out I had to make another just to make sure, and success. So now I have two but I made the second longer. Anyway, I think you're a very talented young lady and I love watching your videos, so keep up the great work, and thank you.
Beautiful build and congrats on your new Vox amp... they are so dynamic and rich in sound content. Not the easiest amps to play, but such beautiful sounds to discover in them...
Beautiful job as usual, I love your guitar and design. A tip for steadying the branding iron is to use an open end wrench to rest it on while applying it to the wood. You can even use a box end wrench. Try it out and let me know how you like it.
Okay, so I’m sitting here watching my favorite female woodworker making a really cool guitar, and then, she lets her hair down and plays that guitar. Those eyes, that smile, that hair, and can she ever play! Best video ever, Tamar.
Looks great Tamara! Coming from a motorcycling background, Black and gold is THE real classic colour combination. The brass really looks brilliant too. Sounds beaut as well. Terrific job mate👍👍
Evidence you can never have too many clamps. Love your reaction when you first see it after removing it from the clamps. As always you did a great job and music at the end was awesome too! Good luck!
Tuh-mar, how can you possibly blame the bees for wanting to become a part of your life when you have so much to offer? I am amazed that it is only bees trying to get in on the act when you display so many diverse abilities and such dedication to expanding these powers into skills. Also, you are such a great looking package to house these skill and abilities in, and now I discover such a sweet ear for obscure melodies. Think I'll come back as a bee next life time, to be blown away by you again of course.
Firstly, I'm surprised the shank of that straight bit didn't just eat up your template! Then, OMG I want that Origin tool, so frickin' awesome. Finally, super-cool guitar again, Tamar. I'm a big fan of your work!
OMG. It's an incredible beauty. The role of women in this kind of work is incredibly beautiful. You did a very good job technically and aesthetically.Keep rocking'!!!
Wow I'm impressed, Your not only a great woodworker , you also nailed the components and such a beautiful finish that has the playability and tone of a custom shop guitar . Impressive also is your love for what you're doing to me this Is a winner I'm sure your family is proud of you.
Hey Tamar! Throughout 2020 I had plenty of time away from my guitar, however woodworking became a major passion of mine. You are my favourite RUclips creator, thank you for your awesome projects and videos! I’m moving to London next year and I have plans to build myself an audio workstation (desk for monitor, speakers, keyboard & racks) - largely inspired by the Dangerfield desks! Has a music studio desk build ever been on the cards for you?
I've been watching a lot of videos from Ben (Crimson guitars) lately, and I'm kinda gob smacked how easily you put this one together. It doesn't need to be complex to be good looking. Once again, hat off to you Lady.
You shouldn't downplay the skill required to do what you do. You're a genius.

Super cool idea Tamar. I love it when metal makes its way into a guitar as a design element.

It basically looks like the Fender Meteora but with the upper horn of a Jazzmaster that's convex.. Nice!!
Excellent build. Body shape seems inspired by a Fender Meteora but more elegant. I can see a similar build on my horizon.
Thanks! More curvy than the meteora. I spent a lot of time figuring out those curves. Definitely love the offset shapes
Awesome! Thanks so much!
The gold hardware works with this build. And I like the natural wood cavity covers.
Thanks! Yeah. Happy I went with those choices!
Beautiful build and congrats on your new Vox amp... they are so dynamic and rich in sound content. Not the easiest amps to play, but such beautiful sounds to discover in them...
Thanks so much! I’m having a lot of fun figuring it out
Beautiful job as usual, I love your guitar and design. A tip for steadying the branding iron is to use an open end wrench to rest it on while applying it to the wood. You can even use a box end wrench. Try it out and let me know how you like it.
Thanks! Great tip!
Okay, so I’m sitting here watching my favorite female woodworker making a really cool guitar, and then, she lets her hair down and plays that guitar. Those eyes, that smile, that hair, and can she ever play! Best video ever, Tamar.
😂😂🤘
incredible build. That leather dye with the true oil looks amazing on that wood grain. For the next build you could consider a matching headstock.
Thanks!
Looks great Tamara! Coming from a motorcycling background, Black and gold is THE real classic colour combination. The brass really looks brilliant too. Sounds beaut as well. Terrific job mate👍👍
Thanks so much!!
Rewatching this over and over again lol Hope to see you doing the build off again this year!! Awesome guitar
🤘
Evidence you can never have too many clamps. Love your reaction when you first see it after removing it from the clamps. As always you did a great job and music at the end was awesome too! Good luck!
Haha I need a few more... thanks so much!
@@3x3CustomTamar Just cast my vote, hope you win
@@cliff5240 thanks! Appreciate it!
😂
Firstly, I'm surprised the shank of that straight bit didn't just eat up your template!
Then, OMG I want that Origin tool, so frickin' awesome.
Finally, super-cool guitar again, Tamar. I'm a big fan of your work!
Thanks! Yeah. I only use the shank for the corners. So really minimal cutting. It works in a pinch. And yea. The origin is so amazing!!
Good balance of creativity and functionality. Such a clean design. Nice playing too.
Thanks so much! ☺️
OMG. It's an incredible beauty. The role of women in this kind of work is incredibly beautiful. You did a very good job technically and aesthetically.Keep rocking'!!!
Thanks! 🤘
Wow I'm impressed, Your not only a great woodworker , you also nailed the components and such a beautiful finish that has the playability and tone of a custom shop guitar . Impressive also is your love for what you're doing to me this Is a winner I'm sure your family is proud of you.
Thanks so much! They are very proud ☺️☺️
Absolutely gorgeous! I’d use that any day of the week!
Also I’ve been a user of a Vox AC30 combo for years. I hope you love your Vox as much as I do.
Thanks so much! Loving the vox!
One of the most beautiful guitars i've ever seen.
So awesome to hear! Thanks!
Been looking forward to this for months, and it doesn't disappoint! Always a real competition piece from Tamar.
So awesome to hear! Thanks!
Havnt thought about it
I've been watching a lot of videos from Ben (Crimson guitars) lately, and I'm kinda gob smacked how easily you put this one together. It doesn't need to be complex to be good looking. Once again, hat off to you Lady.
Haha thanks so much! I believe in the K.I.S.S. Method 😂
@@3x3CustomTamar I had to google that method, and I like that method 😅 cheers
@@frantiseksram9741 😂😂👍
Love the shape! I probably would stain also headstock (black), but it is matter of taste.
