There is no better 790/890 content on the web. You have saved me countless hours and wasted curse words on many projects. I hope to buy you a cold beer one day. Thank you!
Thanks Buddy. I just replaced the abysmal OEM coolant hoses. I couldn’t have done it without this video. I always look to you first when I need to know how to do things on my 890 adventure r.
Thanks again for a thorough video on what is one of my most frustrating projects ever, trying to install Touratech Upper & Lower Crash Bars and Skid Plate. Once I got through figuring out the Touratech issues with help from their Customer Service who were wonderful, I am having difficulty getting those two side bolts in for the fuel tank. They aren't lining up well so I might have to loosen the top of the tank. I really appreciate you posting this, it might save this project for me.
THANK YOU!!!! This saved me so much time as well as broken plastic tabs. This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever utilized. Top notch. And that damn manual is the Austrian version of Chinglish, so this was invaluable.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm about to install the RB easy fuel tuner on my 2023 890 R. After making the ergonomic and comfort changes I wanted, and a little protection here and there, the fuel tuner to fix the cold start issue is the only thing this baby still needs. Thanks!!! BTW- we aren't too far from each other. I'm in central Virginia and was just riding the 890 out in the gwnf and into WV yesterday.
Thanks for the video. Doesn't look too difficult. No reliable KTM repair shops around me. Shops keep trying to diagnose a battery problem that I'm pretty sure is a pulse generator/ crank position sensor. Wasn't sure if I wanted to tackle it myself. Thanks to your video though, removing the tank doesn't look too bad. Gonna search and see if you guys have any videos on removing the ignition cover too. Thanks for the great content
Your videos are great! I have an issue, the torx screw at the top that holds on my tank spoiler that goes into the tank just spins because the stud in the tank is spinning. Any thoughts on how to get it out without drilling out the torx screw?
I just posted your excellent video on the ADVrider forum. Under coolant lean for our bikes. Looks like the easiest way to get at the radiator and cheap hose clamps is to remove the gas tank. When you put dielectric grease back on those fuel sending connectors, do you jam the greases into the contact holes? Thanks.
Is the best way to access and replace the coolant hose clamps on radiator to remove the gas tank? Thanks for great How To video. I am still amazed the depth of videos like this on KTM 790 / 890 Adventure / R still thin. Certainly compared to KTM 690 Enduro R. Thanks. Kam
Nice video! I have to remove my tank and drain my cooling system. I have a coolant leak and am thinking about replacing my radiator hoses and clamps with Samco. Have you had any issues with coolant leaks on your 890?
Just found your channel. This is a KILLER awesome rarely seen (every-step) video. Just hate when people make videos like this and show 3 of the 20 step! Are you going to do an 890 valve adjustment vid??? I watch the 990 valve vid, think it was the 990, but would REALLY appreciate the 890 valve adjustment vid if its on the schedule. Thx again.
I'm on the side of the road as I'm typing this pissed because every time my dealer does matinance to my bike and they close the damn petcocks they never open them back up... thanks for the tutorial

Appreciate that and happy to hear they're a help. Have plenty more coming! And I'll take you up on that beer!

Glad it helped. I've got more BITG videos on this bike coming.
The music 🎶 - this is a tremendously informative video, thank you very much for taking the time to shoot this.

I don't get my 890 for a couple of weeks but your videos have been so helpful. Thanks so much for posting! Great content!!
You r very keen on this bike which is hard to make service by yourself .. excellent tutorial video
Watching this vid helped make this therapy enjoyable.
Thanks

Did you fuel toner solve your cold starting problems?? I also have a 2023, that has all the suck ass cold starting problems!
@@jameslee5428 No! It did not. I sold that POS.
Excellent as always! Thanks brother!
Thanks a lot Mario!!!! It's the best video! La mejor forma de aprender bien a trabajar mi 790 ADV R

No ideas you haven’t already thought of

For installation use zip ties for the grommets
, when in place just cut losses
Video for 790/890 valve adjustment check please. Enjoy your channel!!!!!
When the time comes.

Nah. Haven’t had any coolant leaks in the 13,000 or so miles

I’ve done the adjustment vid on the 990 and 1290 (also just a 1290 check first time). I’ll do one on this one once it’s time to check them
And I thought my 990 was a pain, I think the 890 is even more of a pain, thanks Mario.
I think in order of how quickly I can remove/install them it's 1290, 890, 990.
worst bikes to work on.
Thanks really helpful
Can the tank be removed without removing the AXP skidplate? Some of the connectors can be removed while AXP is mounted...
Maybe but that right side petcock fuel line is gonna be fun to try to remove with the skid plate still on.

Glad it got ya back on the road!
How many spijets were damaged in the making of this video?
