+Pigskin Barbeque It is really easy. People over think some recipes. I was going to sauce them up but they looked so good after three hours I couldn't do it. Thanks for checking it out my man.
Sadly no. I believe that the badge was the impetus for any interest in BBQ. I was glad to share my hobby with her for one day at least. Thanks for asking.
+Smoking Bullet BBQ I love the bark on ribs. I take it most people have never had ribs like this. Restaurants usually hold ribs making them mushy and slathered with sauce. Thank for stopping by.
+Victor Rafa Thanks! The rub is great on pork. Sweet, savory with a touch of heat on the back end. If been grinding it up into a powder which is different from commercial rubs but it makes a killer bark. Let me know how it goes.
Man, Jason, I could smell you cooking them all the way across the lake here in Stoney Creek! awesome looking. Hope you had a great christmas and new year!( I think I saw you awhile back at Lococos I was in the check out you headed to the meat aisle..or it was your twin lol)cheers.
+Moo Cow Gotta love the smell of BBQ cooking away. Guess I have a twin...I haven't been to Lococos since the fall but it's a great place to go shopping.
+Mother's BBQ Mix some up and try it. I been blending rubs into a fine powder lately and I think most work better like this compared to commercial rubs with large granules of sugar and salt. Play around and let me know what you think. Thanks for checking it out Chris.
Them are some fine looking ribs Jason! I may try to salt first and then rub, it does seem that the salt kinda opens the door and lets the spice in the meat. I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing, Happy New Year!
+Heavy Metal Bar-B-Que I'm not a big fan of wrapping ribs because it kills the bark and can make the meat mushy. The ceramic cookers really hold the moisture in making it a great cooking enviroment.
When does cooking videos not show finished products. 90% of my time spent online is watching food stuff and i never seen one where you dont see them take a taste and show it off
Imaginary, I love BBQ sauce, but I have to say I tried some BBQ Ribs at Chilis with just a rub (cook slow and low) and I didn't need nor want sauce with it. It was so perfect on it's own. Try it, you'll see.
that 70's show fan I had a popular RUclips BBQ poster reply to me saying that the brown sugar gives it the bark. I like and want the bark, but I only like spicy/savory and nothing that's very sweet.. I can't imagine why others would use brown sugar if it indeed burns up, like you say.
This is a killer rib video... I'm definitely saving this video. thank you for sharing your tips and tricks I'm going to put them to good use.
+Ray Mack's Kitchen and Grill Thanks so much Ray.
I've seen you cook up some killer ribs too.

Nice tutorial. I like how you explained using your finger to "find the notch" to trim off the tips...a series of small cuts then connect the dots.
+Coach Cardoso Thanks!

+Elvira Parungao Awesome!
Let me know how it goes.

+Smoked Reb BBQ Thanks for stopping by.
Your little pitmaster will be cooking up some great food soon.
Looks like a good rub, thanks for sharing
+joey b I've been grinding rubs to powder. Companies like to sell big chunks I want taste. Sugars cook better too.

Just need to figure a way I can get my hands on a smoker for myself.. Great step-by-step video. 👍
Check out a drum smoker.
Cheapest way to smoke awesome food.
Thanks for checking the video out.
Dig that rub Kinger.....Great video
+Mother's BBQ Mix some up and try it.

Thanks for checking it out Chris.
Awsome job! How many times did u add hot charcoals during the somking process?
None....
With the big green egg you load it with charcoal and it can run for over 20 hours.
Great video! I was a little surprised there wasn't more smoke ring. Perhaps it was the camera angle. That being said, I gotta have some ribs today!
Thanks!
Don't put too much money on a smoke ring because it's easy to fake.
Thanks for checking it out.
Great job potato guy! :) You taught me a few things and the ribs looked great!
+TosTinMan EasyCooking Thanks toaster oven guy...LoL
Now it's time to get caught up on others YT videos.
Wow, big ribs !
Them are some fine looking ribs Jason! I may try to salt first and then rub, it does seem that the salt kinda opens the door and lets the spice in the meat. I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing, Happy New Year!
+DarylCincy DW's Southern Cooking Thanks so much!
Sprinkling salt on is called dry brining if you wanna Google it.
Thanks for checking out the video.
Nice one Jay!
+Pitmaster X Thanks Roel.
When are you coming to North America?
We gotta cook together sometime.
PERFECTION!!! What was that white stuff falling from the sky? LOL
+TheWolfePit Thanks Larry.
Hey we've had it pretty good this winter so far.
I can still see my lawn here.
P.S. I hate snow.
U don't know if I can see that ? It squirted me in the eye ! LOL from Orono, Ont
Cool. It's probably a perfect day in Orono to get a BBQ fired up.
I did a peameal bacon roast with apple wood & mopped with maple syrup !
Beautiful ribs there, Jason!
Thanks for stopping by.
I liked how You didn't wrap or sauce.
+Heavy Metal Bar-B-Que I'm not a big fan of wrapping ribs because it kills the bark and can make the meat mushy. The ceramic cookers really hold the moisture in making it a great cooking enviroment.
you should have a restaurant
A restaurant is a hard gig.
Maybe one day.
Thanks for watching
You even showed the finished product !! most don't
Guess I'm getting better at this video thing.
When does cooking videos not show finished products. 90% of my time spent online is watching food stuff and i never seen one where you dont see them take a taste and show it off
Why no BBQ sauce?
Why not?
No rules in cooking so feel free to do anything you want.
The Imaginary Gallery if you cook it properly, sauce is not needed!!!
How does one cook 'properly' as to create BBQ sauce out of thin air?
The Imaginary Gallery you don't need sauce....come on over, will cook you meat, seafood, my stuff don't need sauce!! Good luck
Imaginary, I love BBQ sauce, but I have to say I tried some BBQ Ribs at Chilis with just a rub (cook slow and low) and I didn't need nor want sauce with it. It was so perfect on it's own. Try it, you'll see.
Why not Brown Sugar?
rawtry65 by the time the meat is done the sugar would have burned.
that 70's show fan I had a popular RUclips BBQ poster reply to me saying that the brown sugar gives it the bark. I like and want the bark, but I only like spicy/savory and nothing that's very sweet.. I can't imagine why others would use brown sugar if it indeed burns up, like you say.
There not back ribs. Those are attached to belly. Back ribs are "baby back ribs" or loin ribs.
For the fisrt time I wanted to bite the monitor.
Haha
It's happened to me before to.
Thanks for checking it out.
It was very juicy, not dry. Nice
