Any tips for keeping the older style forks secure to torque the cap bolt in the bike? I’m talking the pre 2009 style with the single pinch point and the large cap bolt.

Absolutely brilliant, my friend and struggled like nothing on earth to refit my sportster caps after changing what little oil was left in the lowers: we were filled with a huge dread of having to repeat the procedure when it became obvious the oil seals had failed: YOUR video my friend has removed that fear, that huge dread and for that I must thank you, you are a superstar👍 Robbie in the UK

Off the wall question; what’s the rule on the road riding up on a group of bikes? Should you lay back, pass if they are rolling slow, mix in loosely with last bike?
Wanted to tell you I just used your video from 2015 on how to remove and install the rear wheel. It worked great for my 2018 ultra. With no issue. Only had to use a 38 mm socket for remove the main wheel nut. Did by myself with 2 floor jacks. Thanks.
Absolutely fantastic tip, thank you for taking the time to make this video

Ryan Urlacher! You're my favorite Chicago Bears middle linebacker!
The spaces moves and it it is easy to cross thread. How do you prevent cross-threading?
Any tips for the new model flat top fork caps?
Is there a torque setting for these top fork cap screws,
Can you do this with the fork on the bike?
Happy Thanksgiving Ryan to you an the crew.

what if I am alone with no one around?
I’ve used a bench mounted vice in the past. Put the cap in the clamps and then just manhandle it in. Still frustrating but it’s worked several times
Good to keep in mind if I ever work on a tube type 😆

I would suggest either passing or hanging back. You really shouldn't join in a group unless you know them.
I was hoping to see: How to replace the fork cap when the fork is in the motorcycle..not out out of it as in your case.

Great to hear!
I did my front and rear suspension by my self, the back was easy the front was a pain in the ass working by my self.
I bet!
Does cutting the spacer affect the fork performance?
Cut it to the manufacturer specifications.
my fork cap too tight….still can’t open it…. now fork cap damage..still not open?
you need to crack it while the fork is still clamp on the bike.
You make it look easy. My luck,it will launch off and I'll find it at my neighbors house...🙄
Thanks!
👍👍
I cut my finger really bad one time doing this without gloves
