It felt great being able to show my Iron Bred brother how to change out his stock fork cans for the Arlenness ones. It adds so much contrast to his bike. The process might look a bit tedious if you have never done it but it's not as hard once you get started.

Very good instructions! One tip. Leave the axle in the forks, do one side at a time. One, the forks won't drop when loosened, and two, the forks align perfectly and back in their original position.

The forks will not align by itself. There are specific placements shown in the manual. And if the pinch bolts are loosened the fork will slide right out. How would I get the cans on if the axle is left in the forks?

@@ridefitnation Leave a fork in. Then when installing the removed fork, use the non-removed fork and slide the axle through both now. The "removed" fork is now aligned AND being held with the with the non-removed fork and can be tightened.
Once the "removed fork" is tightened, you can do the same to the other side - using the newly installed fork and the axle to ensure proper alignment. I work alone and have never dropped a fork nor misaligned a fork. 🙂
