Just so you all know, Maysie is fine.... she's getting old and traveling is hard on her sometimes, especially in hot weather, which the days in this video were forcasted to be. She stayed back at the retirement home (our house) with my doting kids (17, 18 yrs respectively). She goes on walks with us every night and is definitely slowing down but otherwise living a charmed life! I know you all miss her and I will try to include her in as many videos as possible when it's not physically hard for her. Thanks for loving her!
Yep. I know I surely feel right at home in the woods, too. I live on a mountaintop in Rogue River, Oregon. Retired now, still stack all my own firewood, 1 cord at a time. Heehee. I drive 14 miles to a small city once a week to get essentials, sometimes less. I enjoy having only a handful of neighbors Doubt if I ever will live in the big city again, not for me.
I'm a 65 year old widowed man. My favorite hobby is making and flying old fashioned kites. It amazes me how many people come up to me and ask me what I'm making. Especially young people. Recently I took my supplies and walked down to the park in my community. I set up on an unused picinic table and got to work on the frame. Finishing that I began pulling all sorts of mylar bags from Dorritto corn chips, Cheeze Puffs and several different potatoe chip bags out of my back pack. I taped them together to make the most colorful kite I possibly could. The kite stood 5 foot tall with a wing span of 4 1/2 feet. There was a perfect wind that morning. I put fresh kite string on the kite and got it airborne. With all of the different colors of yellows, purple and oranges with silver the kite looked like a jewell climbing in the bright sunlight! By the time I got to the 900 foot level there was quite a large group of people sitting on the hillside watching the kite. The tail of the kite was 12 feet long with several mylar bows on it. A man about 30 years old asked me if we could add something to the kite string about 10 feet below the kite. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a 4 foot nylon American Flag as I began winding in the string. Once attached we launched the kite again. There was a teenage girl in the crowd that began singing the Star Spangled Banner, others joined in and when it was done there wern't many dry eyes. I ended up spending 11 hours flying that kite until it started to get to dark to see it. Fortunetly, I always keep a large can of tuna fish and a Kiser roll in my backpack with a couple of sodas for emergencies. Several people asked me to show them how to make kites so I passed out my old business cards so we could meet. Its my hope the skill will be passed on. 😊
Thanks for sharing. I remember flying kites with my dad it always felt magical seeing sore through the wind. I don't really ever see kites fly in the sky anymore. something I'd like to do again now that I've grown 😊 might doing this for fun thanks again for sharing
That was the days. I remember making and flying kites as a kid and a teen. Now at almost 59, hearing your story makes me think about all those fun things from long ago. Marbles, Jacks.. Oh boy, thanks..
Big thanks to you and Dave for creating some of the few spaces on the internet that are still set apart, pure, and untouched by all of the chaos in the world today.
Can I just say, you motivate me to be and do better! I won't insert my long depression story, but because of your videos I went camping for the first time in years. I haven't felt such appreciation and happiness like that in a very long time. Thank you so much for these videos. @@seapearl27 I feel your pain. I had to move from my beautiful quiet countryside with all my frogs, crickets, geese, so many different birds and animals to my moms. Of course when they moved here 27 years ago this road was quiet. This video is beautiful. My husband of 42 years went home to be with Jesus last Christmas and your videos bring me such peace in the midst of grief. So thank you Girl in the Woods! And God bless you over and over again. ❤️✝️
Sorry for your loss. I lost my wife of 43 years almost two years ago. At one time we owned over 600 acres. There was 30 acers of timber. We used to camp and fish as the timber butted up to a river and we had large pond on the other end of the timber.
Brooke, when you were traveling in the forest in the pitch of darkness I was thinking that maybe you and Dave could make some creative trail markers for yourselves :D They could be created with a reflective metal or something that could be seen with a pocket black-light flashlight. Sort of like the trail markers for hiking trails. They could be fastened up high on some trees so no-one could mess them up. The trail markers could also be very artistic : D Thank you for your channel - my husband and I appreciate you and Dave very much. May our Heavenly Father bless you both and use you to touch many.
I have wanted a tiny house forever. Watching you build your cabin really lit a fire. I finally asked myself why it was still just a dream and started it in motion. I should be moving in by Sept. Thank You Brooke, and Dave!!

Three things happen when I watch your adventures. My heart rate slows, my happy face appears and a sense of peacefulness envelops me. Thank you Brooke ❤️
I wasn’t so much scared of the dark but more afraid for you and Moose and those wolves. You’re a little thing. So is Moose. Please consider carrying a rifle. Or at the very least walkie talkies with Bush Radical. A whistle too around your neck with a pattern you and Bushy know. We want this great team around for awhile. 😊 Beautiful video of the woods and river and birdsong. Loved it. ❤
That little Moose is the cutest. I adore your cabin Brooke. So, so beautiful with all of your sweet touches. You really are quite the artist. Love watching you. Always a treat.
Your little cabin is purely magical. It reminds me of a little fairy house nestled in the woods. You have it decorated so sweetly too. Love your videos. I find them so calming.
Moose having the zoomies is so cool , nice to be able to slow down and take in nature's beauty. I hope mazzie is well I miss seeing her. May you and your husband be blessed.
I know it’s been nine months but I’m watching this possibly for the second or third time and as always I love when you pray for your food and you include those that are watching. I realize that I’m not going to church like I should. I miss having people pray for me. But anyway, yes, the most frightened I’ve ever been was on a hike with a friend and we were separated, and I thought I was lost. It was dusk when we found each other. That was the most frightened I’ve been.
In a time of uncertainty, your videos give me a great sense of peace and tranquility. I am so happy to hear Maysie is doing okay. Thank you for bringing these upbeat and reassuring videos to us.
What is there in the night that isn't there during the day? Nothing. Just bring a good flashlight and something that makes noise and you will be just fine.
Nope, never afraid to be in the middle of a forest, alone, at night. When I was training to be a combat leader in the Army, we were drooped off, alone, into the middle of an unknown forest with nothing, but a map and compass and had to find our way back to the main camp…loved every minute of it. ❤️
I got to do the same thing but in jungles. Problem is if we could not find the pickup point we were on our own as pickup was never coming back if we missed the plane.
I love everything about this cabin that you have built….the style, the colors, and the setting wow just beautiful your dog doing the Zoomies is so cute and what a beautiful place. No bugs yet?
I appreciate your videos Brook and Dave.I like the log cabins you’ve built in Alaska, your mini cabins in Michigan. The best part of of every thing I’ve seen is you both bow your heads and request an audience with our Creator in thanks for His provision of food, simply Awesome. And I won’t forget Brook the camp fire Jalapeño cheddar dog with crescent roll dough,OH Yum!!!
When, I used to live in Santa Barbara, in the '80's. People were renting boat slips at the marina, They had access to utilities, like phone cable, water, etc. They took a setup like your A-framed cabin, that wooden deck, and steel barrels under that whole thing, made a floating home in the slip! I spent some weekends helping a friend replace his rusted out oil drums out there, His rent for the slip was cheaper than any home you could rent in that city!
I use to watch you all the time and then for some reason I lost you. It was when you had put up that big tent and your honey didn’t know ( in the beginning) so glad to have found you again. I did a lot of journeys in the forests by myself. I spent time hiking in Yellowstone and the South West near Mesa Verde. The desert canyons. Now I’m at an age where I will not go myself any longer. But I do enjoy your trips and campfires.... Oh and every year for years I would go to Big Sur (I found a hole in a fence that I went through and it allowed me access to a wonderful beach. No one was ever there. I would go with my dog and walk this beautiful beach collecting driftwood for my fire at night. It was near a River that ran to the ocean. Well, at night I would fall asleep listening to the sounds of the ocean. One night I woke up and the breaking waves were luminous.. I was amazed ... I had no idea what was causing it... then I saw it was thousands of luminous jellyfish . I did this every year for years... Thanks for sharing your times with us lucky enough to have discovered you...♥️
Hi Desert 🌵 rain 🌧 drops 💦 Love your chosen name, thank you for responding to me. ♥️ I hope that you have created memories that you will enjoy revisiting. By your name I imagine you have a love of the natural world, and have found the magic of our desert landscapes ... And I bet that they now make up a part of your soul ♥️💖💝🙏
I too love Big Sur, it is a majickal place for sure. One of my favorite places is Point Lobos and I love all the hiking trails along the coastline ridges.
That Moose puppy is hilarious!! What a cutie!! Everything looks so pretty, and your cabin looks like it’s in a fairyland. So awesome. I always look forward to your videos. Your personality is pure joy, Brooke!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Glad you touch on Maysie, I was wondering where “Da wolf” was, give her some kisses from all of us! I was cracking up when da moose was jumping in the water then running around like a mad dog 🤣 Glad to see you back in the woods in Michigan, I’m down in the metro area. Glad your having fun! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼🦴
I used to live in such an abandoned place. It's all about fear management - once you turn around to look behind you, you're done 🙂got to walk foward with trust and confidence. Such a beautiful video, I'm enjoying it.
Thank you for letting me live my bucket list through y’all. Moose looks like the little puppy my grand daughters got a couple of months ago. They named him Mr. Squiggles because he is a constant motion.
I have had been suffering from depression for a better part of the day all ways paranoid afraid to go out side having the fear of everything literally , I come home take my meds and watch yr vids and feel calm and I just like to take this time to tank for this , I could wish one thing is that to be part of yr family doing all this camping thank u for this bit of calm u and Dave gave me in this last couple of days much love and long and healthy life to u you're husband and Yr kids may god bless you all
Your cabin is so cozy and cool, I just love it! You're in a great spot. Every time I watch you're videos It makes me warm inside. When I first started to watch this video and I didn't see Maysie I thought oh no, but then read your comment and was relieved. Moose is such a cutie pie. I just loved the way he was playing around sticking his face in the water. 😄I just love your spiritual ness I feel the same way! Thank you so much for your warm spiritual videos.
Brooke I discovered you after my knee replacement 8 months ago just scrolling through RUclips. Thank God you have been there when I was recuperating. I love watching your channel and look forward to more videos in the future.
I loved this adventure so much, Brooke, as I never stopped smiling. Glad you didn't't hurt yourself at the end and please pet DaWoof for me. Thanks for all you do.
I certainly admire you for what you share and I must say you are one BRAVE woman walking through a dark forest at night being pitch black!! I love to watch your videos and find the tranquil atmosphere you share is so relaxing. Thank you for sharing these experiences! Love it!♥️
You are so brave and your camp is adorable . I was so blessed by your prayer to Jesus . Where I live In Maine , so much of the wildlife habitat is being taken over by homes especially double wide placed end to end The poor animals are coming around the homes kind of lost It's heart breaking . May God Bless you and your family including your fur babies
Love this. I appreciated your prayers for all of us watching. God has blessed you richly, and you bless us! So good to be thankful. Btw: Moose is adorable!!
I LOVE watching u . My soul fills with happiness and I miss the woods and outdoors for now but will be back. Thank you for offering us the 1st bite of your meal and prayers.
You did such a tremendous job building that cabin, it a pleasure seeing you enjoy it for some relaxation time! That was some crazy rain you had, but what a great way to enjoy the weather!
Moose sure is full of happy dog energy! Had me cracking up, in and out of the stream, a few fast loops and back in. I can only imagine the fresh air and sounds of nature❣ loving the old James Taylor, good times that era
Just discovered your channel. I love your insights, love of God, and your love of nature. My husband and I have a little shabin (shed converted to cabin) an hour away from our suburban home that we absolutely love! Thanks for inspiring me to do some little projects on my own.💜
Glad to see the cabin is still standing after having some flooding...I love your little cabin it a place to just get lost in and really think about what nature has out there...it amazing and wonderful...I mean look you saw a WOLF how wonderful was that...I love it...So glad your posting again...but that last part looking for Moose in the dark woods...he new we're he was going he did his job taking care of Mama...lol...You guys are great..
This is what it’s all about. Quality, quiet, peaceful, cozy me time. You are so inspiring. Thank You for your positive videos. And campfire cooking ideas.
Brooke, you and little Moosie are so adorable! I love how you appreciate nature , etc. and include your pups in your everyday life and videos. I wish I could be in nature as much as you, but busy New Jersey doesn't really allow it with my work schedule 😣! I always look forward to your videos no matter how many times I've seen them. I am from New York, and miss the snow we get in Watertown area. Your videos allow me to step back for a moment to enjoy it...thank you so much for allowing us all to view your wonderful lifestyle with your babies and family 🤗❤🙏🐕🦮🐾!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all the cheerful colors in your cabin, for which the verse from Proverbs is perfect and appreciated! Also enjoy your sharing nature's beauty and peaceful contemplation. Teaching by example a healthier way to nourish one's soul! 🙏👏♥️
I love your little cabin and it's surroundings. Spring is my favorite season, even in north Texas where it is short and sometimes hot. I love to watch the birds busy with nest making and the Spring flowers like bluebonnets that grow along the highways (thanks to Ladybird Johnson for starting that roadside wildflower tradition here.)
Watching yet another of your videos tonight. I loved your prayer before your meal! I've mentioned our 40 acres in Northern Idaho. It's rugged and fairly remote. We should have a house dry in before this winter hits. A couple more years for me to finish it and then I want to get up the mountain and build a dry cabin to use and take in the beautiful view the Lord has given us!
Brooke, I usually don’t add comments but, I feel that I must thank you for taking me with you in all your adventures! I always have smile on my face when watching your videos.
is perfect. After the encounter with the wolf in borad open daylight I would never go out after darkWell, Here wE ARE AGAIN. i HAVE WATCHED YOUR AND dAVES VIDEOS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. i THINK ITS MORE FUN THAN a barrel of monkeys. Of corse your Moose steals the show. He is just full of himself. I would love to wave one my self. I am going back and watch The Moose. Thanks for takeing the time to make the videos,They make my life better.
This cabin is amazing and would definitely be my happy place (without the actual wolf) the window/awning is perfect. Your entire set up is perfect. Good job!
How have I missed this video before now! SO sweet! LOVE that little cabin. Especially love that you decorate it like a home. I would too! Of all your videos I still love the building of your cabins and the time you spend in them! SUCH an accomplishment! Never tire of it. Doggies so cute! You are a natural Brooke! Keep it up!
It looked a little spooky out there when you were walking around. I have a squeaky toy for my beagle and when she wonders off I squeak it and she comes running back. She thinks it's her baby. Thanks for praying for us out here watching your channel. That was very touching.
I’m glad you’re back. I was a little sad that Mayze wasn’t with you but I understand why. What a calm relaxing time you had. I felt like I was there with you. You are so creative. See you next time.🤗
I love the videos that you and your husband share. They've given me a little peace and inspiration during some rough times. I hope God finds a way to bless you as much as you guys have been a blessing to me.
Love Your Channel.... Yes, when you can, get a sailboat one day, and travel at sea, stop at different islands, countries, and spend your winters in the south on sailboat and how good you will feel in the cold months being in the 84 degree days..... It's helped my rheumatoid arthritis moving to Florida from Indiana in 2010. Sailing is a beautiful way to grow old and enjoy the Florida Keys, and other islands and countries all over the Caribbean, etc. God Bless, Merry Christmas 🎄🙏
So relaxing to watch you chill on the chair looking up at the sky. Makes me wish I was doing it as well! :). Plus moose is so funny!!! Love him! Silly s Doggie
Crazy to see how far up the water came! Is that because of the melting snow from winter ?? Just watched your hubby's video and noticed that Mazie wasn't with ya'll. He said she wasn't traveling too well right now so she s stayed home. Give her extra scratches & pats from this viewer, PLEASE. I really enjoy seeing your four legged fur children!

I know right!! I love watching doggies run around like that!! Lol. What a happy little guy.. :'D
In a time of uncertainty, your videos give me a great sense of peace and tranquility. I am so happy to hear Maysie is doing okay. Thank you for bringing these upbeat and reassuring videos to us.
Me toooo
I would never walk in the woods alone at night. You are much braver than I am.
🤣‼️♥️
What is there in the night that isn't there during the day? Nothing. Just bring a good flashlight and something that makes noise and you will be just fine.
She's packing on her hip and she's an outdoor girl. I feel sorry for whatever wants to mess with her!
Brook have you ever had to used the pistol out there ?
Thanks for another great video!! Truly you and your husband’s videos are so relaxing!! Thank you for reminding us of the simpler things! She gone! 😃💚
Thank you so much!
I loved your spiritual side your love for the outdoors is contagious .
The wolf sighting is some big medicine. Had a pack I was blessed to see a few times on my land in Oregon.
So glad you're back and that Maysie is doing well. The cabin looked great and Moose is an adorable mess. 😍
Hello
I loved the part when it was raining. The sound is so peaceful
How far away is Dave. I would want him to stay with wolves around. Heck I would be nervous being alone at all
I would so worry about the dog wandering around
Why not Dave and you camp together
Thanks for sharing your times with us lucky enough to have discovered you...♥️
That sounds like a beautiful dream. Thank you for sharing it...🤍
Hi Desert 🌵 rain 🌧 drops 💦
Love your chosen name, thank you for responding to me.
Moose with the zooms, the sound of rain, the crackling fire = perfection!!
I really miss Daisy, Love her.XX💕🏴
I love seeing doggies doing their zoomies!! Such a happy baby!
Your cabin is so cheerful. It is full of color and joy. I missed seeing Daisy. Moose is full of spunk tho. Thanks for sharing your cabin Time. 💞
💯👍
The peace and tranquility of that spot can be felt watching your video can only imagine how great it is there
That Moose puppy is hilarious!! What a cutie!! Everything looks so pretty, and your cabin looks like it’s in a fairyland. So awesome. I always look forward to your videos. Your personality is pure joy, Brooke!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
We camped long ago at Van Riper state park in the UP. The water was brown doe to minerals. I noticed your creek is also brown. Same reason?
thank you
tannins
I remember when you put that well in. Always a blessing to have such good water! Place looks great and glad Moose is with you, “wolf” to wolf that is.
No way would I let him go outside without watching him
Glad you touch on Maysie, I was wondering where “Da wolf” was, give her some kisses from all of us!
Your spot is like a slice of heaven. I would build something to live there year round if I owned it. Gotta love the tranquility.
Thank you for letting me live my bucket list through y’all. Moose looks like the little puppy my grand daughters got a couple of months ago. They named him Mr. Squiggles because he is a constant motion.
I love the A-frame design. The plexiglass(?) side was a genius idea.
I have had been suffering from depression for a better part of the day all ways paranoid afraid to go out side having the fear of everything literally , I come home take my meds and watch yr vids and feel calm and I just like to take this time to tank for this , I could wish one thing is that to be part of yr family doing all this camping thank u for this bit of calm u and Dave gave me in this last couple of days much love and long and healthy life to u you're husband and Yr kids may god bless you all
I love this cabin, you are truly an inspiration. A dark forest doesn't scare me, but you will never catch me in the ocean after dark!!!
Glad to see everything is ok there, love watching the little Moose, so cute, take care, hopefully see you soon
Brooke I discovered you after my knee replacement 8 months ago just scrolling through RUclips. Thank God you have been there when I was recuperating. I love watching your channel and look forward to more videos in the future.
Your dog running around after a dip in the creek so adorable! ❤
I loved this adventure so much, Brooke, as I never stopped smiling. Glad you didn't't hurt yourself at the end and please pet DaWoof for me. Thanks for all you do.
When she almost fell, for some strange reason it felt like I was going to fall. Weird, I said whoa like it was me.
I guess I live vicariously through you. 😊 I'm not able to be out in the woods but I love feeling part of your adventures! 🙂
Limiting belief
Me too. My husband is a straight city boy.🙄
Not me. I love nature. Watching your videos is so refreshing. Thank you.
There's nothing like 'Girl In The Woods." Thank you for sharing such a nice enjoyable day. Blessings to you and your family.
Love this. I appreciated your prayers for all of us watching. God has blessed you richly, and you bless us! So good to be thankful. Btw: Moose is adorable!!
Just wanted to thank you for all the great entertainment been watching from the start you're come a long way hun👍
Thanks so much 😊
I love rainy days for reading. What a cozy cabin to be in.
Hello 👋how are you doing?
The scene at 38:30.....beyond gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing your blessed life with us!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a nice doggie, so well behaved, never barks for no reason
It is super-cute when you offer us "the first bite." It always makes me smile.
Are you bummed she never offers you a sip of coffee, lol
@@JasonCarney. Now that you mention it, yes! That's funny.
What did she wrap around the hotdog to make it basically a pigs in a blanket type of meal? Maybe one of those pilsbury dough can jobbies or something?
You and Dave have definitely found a little piece of paradise! Loved watching Moose doing the zoomies!! Cool you got to see a wolf!
Just discovered your channel. I love your insights, love of God, and your love of nature. My husband and I have a little shabin (shed converted to cabin) an hour away from our suburban home that we absolutely love! Thanks for inspiring me to do some little projects on my own.💜
So good to see you and Dave! Moose has grown so much!! Glad y’all are ok and glad to hear Maysie is doing good. Love that cabin and that creek!!
So glad to see you back! I eagerly await each video! May God continue to bless you all!

Great video! I am glad you didn’t have the camera rolling when the wolf swung by to check on the neighbours, that was your moment ❤️
true... and I probably would have ruined it by trying to finagle the cam too
Moose’s ears though.... precious! Love you people!
i knowwwww
I absolutely love the cabin.
thank you
I feel like the dog knew what was out there. Amazing as always.
I could watch Moose play all day, he's so adorable!
Oh, and we have our favorite scriptures written inside the walls of every home I've remodeled or built!
You and your husbands videos are my favorite, I love the way you praise the Lord for all he has blessed you and Dave with,
Thank you so much!
God is good! ✝️
Brooke, I usually don’t add comments but, I feel that I must thank you for taking me with you in all your adventures! I always have smile on my face when watching your videos.
Sandy H, I feel the same way.
Me too!
Thank you for an awesome video to watch on this Memorial Day afternoon.
Best video I have seen in a long time.
thanks much!
Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
It looked a little spooky out there when you were walking around. I have a squeaky toy for my beagle and when she wonders off I squeak it and she comes running back. She thinks it's her baby. Thanks for praying for us out here watching your channel. That was very touching.
lol love it
I absolutely loved it. So beautiful. Moose is so adorable with his short little legs.
Great to see you enjoying the place you worked so hard to build !
Every woman needs an adorable cabin like this! I know I do!
What a cute place! You dog is funny and adorable!
Thank you for the great day! I felt like I had a vacation! I love your cabin. 💕
Love him! Silly s
Doggie
Crazy to see how far up the water came! Is that because of the melting snow from winter ?? Just watched your hubby's video and noticed that Mazie wasn't with ya'll. He said she wasn't traveling too well right now so she s stayed home. Give her extra scratches & pats from this viewer, PLEASE. I really enjoy seeing your four legged fur children!
