- Venture bravely into the eye of a massive lightning storm looming high over Skyline Valley. In our developer preview video, Fallout 76’s Creative Director Jonathan Rush guides us through the southern reaches of Appalachia. You’ll get a sneak peek at Fallout 76’s expanded map, new locations based on the real-world Shenandoah region and a public event for daredevil storm chasers. There are giant robotic brains, the electric ghouls of Vault 63 and some fearsome North American turkeys.

@@KahosSaint Its there though, its just a big empty area too, you couldnt go to this new place because of a invisible wall ,thats what they mean! Other side of pointpleasant has a ton of empty space loaded in the world
@@Crocthunder you can go to that area right now, it just looks different. Not the first time they've done this. They're taking a slightly blank area at the bottom of the savage divide and they're gonna shove new stuff on top of it and get rid of the old.
@@KahosSaint I don't want to be the "uhm, actually" guy, but they did expand the map. Right now you can't go past a certain point, but the new update will let you go beyond that. That's called a map expansion.
Shenandoah Valley was practically my backyard growing up. I'm definitely curious to see how this version stacks up!
Same. Went to school in Harrisonburg (JMU) 1984-7 so I'll be interested to see what part(s) of Virginia and the Shenandoah they add.

Belive me friend... F76 has one of the best world building and maps in the whole franchise. Is worth exploring to know more about the old world.
@@Flowey_the_Flower. I played it on release and it was dreadful. I didn’t think the game would ever make a come back. I came back around 2022 to give it another shot, and now me and my buddy play it once week/month and always have a blast doing quest together and building camps.
TBH I love how campy and "cringey" this is lol. It's weirdly on point for Fallout.

I really enjoy having weight limits all over the place. Constantly spending time on my loot box to figure out how I can stash items. Fun.

Man I will be busy with this game. Just finished the base questline and now doing Wastelanders. I still have to experience the Steel Reign, Steel Dawn, and the Expeditions. Just taking my time
I am in the same boat, just taking my time, enjoying the survival integration and slow paced game (or at least being able to take it at my own pace)
That's the best part of 76. Just to unwind. Maybe campbuild, or go shopping at camps, maybe do some dailies and grind out exp. It's a fun looter shooter with a fallout theme
So Vault 63 is like Necropolis/the vault under the city from Fallout 1 a Vault that caused its population to Ghoulify because Vault-Tech shenanigans.
Wouldn’t be the first time an experiment was repeated in Fallouts history.
I don't think so. 63 is currently sealed in game and one of the dialogue options with the overseer in the clip is asking why the vault wasn't finished. Also note he said 'an entrance' not 'the entrance'. That last part is possible me just being pedantic.
From what I've seen of Vault 63 in the PTS, it's by far the largest vault, and seems to have some wild experiments.

So excited for the map expansion, the weather looks so cool!
I've been playing for about a month now and I'm loving it. Built a C.A.M.P on a cliff on the southern edge of the map overlooking the area where this expansion will be. Very excited to be a part of this expansion at launch!

Any chance the combat rebalance could look into upping the strength of pistols and lever action rifles?
I don't mind bloodied commandos being the strongest but I don't want to be so far behind in comparison to those archetypes that I feel useless

I know. Got my camp on that Western river between the Nuka Cola plant and Camdem park. Would love to cross the river and explore that direction since it looks so nice over there. =)
I almost guarantee that's the next part of the map they expand to, may be a couple years down the line but still, having played since beta it's really impressive seeing how far 76 has come
Great update but camp budget and stash space needs upping.
2 words. Enclave Faction. I want to have my own Vertibird and Oil Rig.
The Enclave will have more secrets to find trust. The presidential cabin. There’s definitely bunkers down there.

At the Thunder Mountain Power Plant, there's a lake with a single rowboat in the middle. You can actually place your CAMP on the boat, place a foundation and stairs at the bottom of the lake, and then start building from there.
I've got my CAMP as an Oil Rig.
After putting about 300+ hours into cyberpunk 2077, I had to find somethin new and exciting. I came across fallout 76. It’s so much better than when it first released. I’m having so much fun on it. Can’t wait for this to drop 🔥
The whole bottom section of cranberry bog can be something for us in the future hopefully adding new places to explore is what we really want. Also we can really use some extra storage space
Please keep up the support for the game! Would love to hopefully see a next gen upgrade down the line!!

Thank you! As a new player whose returning after a rough launch experience I’m very happy so far. Minus the occasional glitch or oddity it’s actually a lot of fun.
I'll stick with my heavy modded Fallout 4.
Good stick with that for 1-2 weeks before you get bored, I'll stick with my Fallout 76 and continue to get progression and make friends way longer then a 1 week single-player playthrough but hey enjoy it while it last i guess :)
That fallout 4 gameplay must be so exciting for you to waste your free time to comment in a video about a completely different game.

What about the bases that were in the area before, has the land been terraformed or just wiped clean?
That entire area is inaccessible, no one has their CAMP there

God yes same! Maybe once theyve done all they can think of the team behind the fallout show could move over to an elder scrolls series. Theyve done pretty well with the fallout show so far (better than I could have hoped for! Nickpics aside) if we were to ever get it onscreen I just hope its treated with the same care and attention to detail that they have given the other you know?

I just started playing about a month ago. Just hit level 91. So excited that all the expansions have been free. Also with a new expansion on the horizon!
I started playing 1 month ago, I just finished the main quest, and I'm level 110. I've done very little side quest, expeditions, or daily ops. I mainly explore and do events so this new zone looks interesting.
Dayummm I’ve started playing in 2021 and played a bit for a year and now came back and I’m still level 90, you grinded this 🗣️

i would love to play that with a friend but at some point you tookl out the team system where you can see others quest markers etc. how are we supposed to do missions as a team
Well there's a reason for that, you can't progress together because the game has choices so you'd potentially be making choices for your friends or whatever group you are a part of and that's not a good thing if they want it to be their version of the story
Well then just add a vote system like other Koop games with choices. Still not ideal but way better than none.
