Darkness meditation (ie. meditating in a completely dark room) is useful for being able to observe the most subtle energies without distraction. Once you become aware of the subtlest inner world then the goal is to stay connected all the time, so that you are a bridge between the inner and the outer worlds. Meditation is like digging a well - best to pick one technique and go all the way, rather than digging a hole over here and over there. The technique will only take you to the threshold.
I find that as my practice deepens I get information coming to me exactly when I need it. Sometimes in visions, sometimes musically, and sometimes I just know. In fact the film itself was really something that formed out of meditation. After meditating I would often sit and work on the film and everything would fall into place. At times of greatest connection it seemed that the film was creating itself through me. At other times it was a struggle. Nature will only [continue.....]

It is interesting to listen to people talking after a meditation retreat. Inevitably some talk about lights and colors they experienced, some talk about "seeing" archetypal beings, some relived past experiences and find a release of emotion, some talk about bliss, some experience only gross physical pain and discomfort, while others experience emptiness. I have experienced all of the above and I think that any / all may be part of anyone's unfolding process. For me it is always changing.
I began studying and later teaching both yoga and Buddhist meditation, in the '70's, these practices helped me create a meaningful, healthy, spiritual life that I could never have had without them. I feel both blessed and humbled to have found these practices at any early age and encourage every human being to seek and find for yourself something that will help keep you safe and sane in this very troubled complicated world. I agree, the guru is within you. The Vipassana centers offer a nice place to do self-inquiry for those starting out and who need to gain discipline over their minds. It is hard for people to independently structure their lives for 10 days to the degree that these centers offer. Once one is receiving guidance from the inner source, the need for the external teachings and structures will decrease, and the true meaning of the Buddha's teachings will become evident.
Look what we've given up in exchange for (1) the supremacy of ego, (2) incessant emotional stress, (3) inner and outer conflict, (4) beliefs that attempt to validate our lives when no validation is necessary, (5) stuff & more stuff, (6) fear of the unknown, (7) submission to outer authority, etc. This is an absolutely superb film warranting repeated views. If you have never gotten to experience these higher states of consciousness, you really have no idea; or are able to comprehend for that matter; what is meant by seeing beyond the veil. This physical reality is a complete illusion; I am one of the lucky minority who has been blessed to see those other dimensions. Albeit only seeing that realm for a very brief few moments; it changed my life for ever.
The meditation which the ancient Vedas refer to and which the Buddha and others rediscovered is specific because there is no goal, nothing to achieve. It is an endless process of unfolding. Observe reality "as it is" (start with your breathing and don't miss anything, no matter how subtle). When the mind is completely still, focused solely on the content of the present moment, the physiology within you responds. The DMT experience is simply one of the phenomena of meditation, but not a goal.
I agree, it is most definitely possible to experience this connection without any plant helpers. After you have connected to the state it gets increasingly easier to get there on one's own. For any interested in darkness meditation check out Simon Buxton's work "Darkness Visible", or the yogic concept of Pratyahara or the "sealing of the senses" (a good source is Swami Satyananda's book Kundalini Tantra).

to give you visions and energy if it is being used. The flow will slow or even stop unless it is being manifested into the world in some way. The more you connect the inner world with the outer, the more the two will grow together. Reality becomes more dreamlike, dreams become more real. So my question to you is, how are you bringing these visions from the deep inner world into the outer? What are they doing for you / the world?
Re Part IV: Oh, that's awesome, "The truth of who you are does not need an answer... The truth lies not in more answers, but less questions..." That should be recited to every seeker, including me: I get lost in the search, forget to experience life and instead only want to experience more revelation. It's interesting that the satisfaction is only temporary, like an addiction that's high subsides and I need one more step toward my truth. Even though I know it's ultimately fruitless. Thank you.
Vipassana (Buddhism), Zen Buddhism or Taosim all offer great meditation techniques which will focus the mind and help cultivate the discipline required to explore the inner world. Vipassana or "insight" means literally seeing within and is a technique that I highly recommend. All of these techniques only take you to the threshold. Once you are connected to the source then you receive guidance from within and the technique itself can become an obstacle if you cling to it.
I see comments here from 10 years ago... 5, 4, and I'm just now starting to discover and learn these things... I wish I had learned this before, but anyway, I heard someone say that this kind of knowledge only reaches you, when you're ready... Thanks for sharing!
I went through a Kundalini Awakening 4 months ago. Weirdest thing I ever felt inside me. It was like a blast of energy "and more" up through my top of my head. Changed my life. I have mastered my mind and have 100% of my memory. I always had bad memory.
@@riseandrevoltfuckmoderncom8885 let me tell you that you are wrong. it might take " a month" in earth time. even thats a very bold claim. why a month ? why not 7 days or 7 weeks ( that number would at least make more sense given the idea of whats going on). for me it was 7 very high dosed trips of acid/ketamine ( actually way more , but the last 7 were the key). but the actual time spent is immesurable. in the void, the event horizon , the other side , however you wanna call it 10 minutes can feel like and have the content of 50000 years. it can happen in one day. but if you think ( i asume , based on your wording) that its like a traffic light, where red being asleep , yellow being your so called dark night of the soul and green being the awakened state, thats not how it works. your dark night of the soul is always happening, realizing it can happen in an instant , over time or never.

Time has come for one to return. This sounding images are manifestations of one’s awakening. The awakening will eventually lead one homeward. One is seeing one’s own awakening.

What I'm about to tell you is a story about connecting, and finding yourself . It starts in a place where everyone can relate to. A place where no one can go but everyone can see. As the boy opened his eyes, he saw light for the first time. It was so bright but somehow the picture got really clear. He saw another figure, but couldn't quite make out the shape. He didn't know why he was there or where he came from but also knew it was for a purpose. As he was lost in his train of thoughts. The figure spoke and immediately, the boy recognized the sounds. Before the boy saw light, he saw darkness but could hear the sound of the figure, and how smoothing it was. The boy trusted that the figure could answer the question he kept asking himself. "What am I?" Before the boy could even figure out how to make a sound, the voice said "speak." The boy asked "What am I?" The soothing voice said he could not answer the question, because you are “whole”, or the perfect being of light. “You are all that is good in me, therefore I can not tell you because you are not aware of the other yet, that of which is not good, together you will find the answer: What am I?” His father explained that the boy had the power to create anything he desired however the catch was that he only had one chance to create himself. This creation had to reach self-assembly, or autonomous patterns without any help from the boy. The boy was confused, as everything he thought to himself was getting him nowhere and the more questions he asked, his father would have a answer, but they spawned another question and another...and another. The father interrupted him and explained that he has all the answers to his questions within, but thinking with the “other” will eventually give you the answer to the question: "What am I?" He then explained that he will only give six clues to create himself, because his father gave him 6 clues before him. The father explained that the 6 clues will guide him in different paths, but all paths lead to answer: "What am I?" Furthermore, the boy would most likely take 30 years to complete this task, and only then will he create himself again. Clue #1 Everything that has a beginning has a end, but after the end is the beginning. Clue #2 Create in balance, everything will have an opposite that will cancel each other out when they meet. Clue #3 Make it extremely easy to do but extremely difficult to master. Clue #4 Create in absolutes, and extreme ambiguities Clue #5 Make it fun, like a game that never ends Clue #6 You will lose yourself, but that's the point of being The father now had to leave, but explained that he will find the boy again when he creates himself. The boy agreed but the figure didn't move. The father said he was having trouble letting go of his creation but then explained that his creator told him that letting go was just the beginning of the journey. The boy didn't understand what he meant but reassured his father that he will find the answer: What am I? The boy returned to his thoughts and wondered what he looked like. He then used his clues and came up with an idea to create the “other.” The other had a voice that wasn’t smoothing but tolerable. It was very truthful, so much that it sometimes hurt. It called itself, “Guts,” and called the boy “Brain.” The boy didn’t like the name, but he figured that Guts knew best because he created him. As time past they often argued about everything and couldn’t come up with anything that was worth creating. The 6 clues created more and more questions, however, as more time passed, they both created 6 separate clues of there own. Clue #1 The Primordial Spiral Clue #2 The Gaia Principle Clue #3 The Fibonacci Sequence Clue#4 Geological Time Clue#5 Bodhisattva vow Clue #6 Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds The two finally came to agreement and decided to make a game called hide and seek. But there were as one. So they decided to create a huge explosion so they can be two. However, they miscalculated and exploded into a massive number: 274,207,280 x (274,207,281-1) to be exact. The 6 clues constantly created from the 6 clues without any help but eventually created a place where the two could be together again. This place is called Earth. The rest is history. The End. This story is a interpretation of my own accord yet, very familiar if you got this far. It covers many different things that I have studied, however, they all came to the same conclusion. This conclusion is the notion that everything comes back to the same answer as everything is connected by the 6 clues. My answer to What am I? I am the creator of this story.
I never understood spirituality and the everlasting fuss about living in the present moment, until I found that there is nothing but the present, and that it is eternal. I tried to think my way out of anxiety and depression, and didn't realize I wasn't my thoughts and that inner voice that worries me. There are still moments of anxiety when talking to people, because my nervous system kicks in and tries to save me, but I have glimpses of freedom in the present and it is liberating and so so strange to have this new outlook on earth, that I am it. I have been in therapy for years, but no therapist ever told me that I wasn't my thoughts, and that I can approach life in that way, only living in the present. Perhaps it is an obvious thing for most people, but it wasn't for me.
Tear down the illusions. Im very connected here to heal and transmute energies that come to me. My 10 year old son tells me "what we see with our eyes isnt really there" he told me we are an Angel family. They are my starseeds and that i need to believe beyond what i see. My oldest son 25 speaks of astral travelling since being a boy and my daughter is a strong psychic and clairvoyant. My husband channels. My daughter 4 believes in nothing but Angels. She tells me alot of things about Angels. She told me "Gold light is now hitting the Earth and waking up all of the Angels and there will be the love of two hearts in every house one big one small" she also said "When Maya is touched she will release all the sea angels and the regular angels to heal the Earth and wake up everyone". Id never heard of Maya. I was travelling in an elevator with her to go up to our apartment and i saw a large purple orb above my daughters head, it was there for around 5 seconds then disappeared. My daughters name is Annabella, Annabella Lee. My mind told me to look up Sea angels, so i did now look up Annabel Lee the poem. In no way did i connect my daughters name to anything on its choosing. "Child of Grace" is the meaning. Lee is mine, my great grandmothers, my mothers and my daughters' middle name. Believe in your truth. I know mine, and it adds and changes with information sychronocity etc everyday. My galactic family, My purpose, to heal as a travelling Angel travelling dimensions with no judgement on another energy or being only compassion and love and im living it every day. I dont meditate i see colours of chakras at high vibration. But im honestly not sure if the true chakra is in the colours we are told as i see different now..not clear but its coming. Im told we are existing in a lie dimension. Purge your pain knowing within you are a witness to all trauma and disasters on Earth, not an actor, not all is as it seems. Ask and connect with truth from your high self and you shall receive nothing but truth. Connect with Love and you'll see you are truly loved and a creator wasting time on rituals in everyday life. I started facing myself/forgiving also meditating and one day during meditation energy started moving 5 years later still moving along with all kinds of mystical experiences

Really good, I mean SO spot on you producers an writers of these videos. I'm on the path of awakening (going within) an seeing all the positive remarks is heart warming as people are waking from our slumber. We are in the Dwapara yuga (age) not Kali Yuga as wrongly generally thought. So the consciousness of man has broadened an once again the thirsty seek the divine nectar within.
The truth is that Kundalini is your own life energy and there is no reason to fear it. When you fear it, you fear your own potential and what you can become. It is important that people do not approach it from fear, because it is these very fears that keep the energy from flowing. Fear-based thought, ego and clinging create suffering on the journey. Yes, there will be pain, but the suffering part is optional. It is the fear generated by the mind itself that is the greatest obstacle or "demon".
I think Paul is maybe referring to extreme yogic exercises when he talks about "playing" with kundalini and yes these can be dangerous. By bringing consciousness to the inner world through meditation, one IS purifying oneself of conditioned patterns. Purification is not something separate; the inner energy IS the very thing that is being released/ unknotted. The BALANCE of Shiva and Shakti (energy and consciousness) is what allows evolutionary forces to unfold. Both are always needed.

Today all but [= only] a tiny few know why they are practicing celibacy, because the true purpose has become lost. Quite simply, if your energy is going into producing more sperm or eggs, as the case may be, then there is not as much to fuel the rising of kundalini, which activates the higher chakras. Kundalini is life energy, which is also sexual energy. When awareness becomes less focused on animal urges and is put into the objects reflective of the higher chakras, that energy flows up the spine into those chakras. Many of the tantric practices teach how to master sexual energy so that it can be used for higher spiritual evolution. 25:40 Because humans are now identified almost exclusively with their thoughts and the outer world, it is a rare individual who achieves a balance of the inner and outer forces which allow Kundalini to awaken naturally.
the frequencies used in the background of this video are meant to open up these chakras and raise your vibrations. instant thumbs up. i have been listening to the 9 solfeggios to open up a new part of me, and slowly, but surely, its been helping my inner world. hopefully i can say the same for my outer world soon.

Yes, kundalini can be a veritable "pandora's box" if it is not awakened with consciousness. Energies can "wake up" or wreak havoc through trauma, abuse, stress or extreme sensitivity to the craziness of the world. The mental institutes are full of people whose shakti has run amok. Kundalini is simply life energy and it is not good or bad in and of itself. Each of us has a unique bloom, and when kundalini is in balance in the right conditions, the bloom will occur. Wrong conditions = problems.

It is interesting to listen to people talking after a meditation retreat. Inevitably some talk about lights and colors they experienced, some talk about "seeing" archetypal beings, some relived past experiences and find a release of emotion, some talk about bliss, some experience only gross physical pain and discomfort, while others experience emptiness. I have experienced all of the above and I think that any / all may be part of anyone's unfolding process. For me it is always changing.
I began studying and later teaching both yoga and Buddhist meditation, in the '70's, these practices helped me create a meaningful, healthy, spiritual life that I could never have had without them. I feel both blessed and humbled to have found these practices at any early age and encourage every human being to seek and find for yourself something that will help keep you safe and sane in this very troubled complicated world. I agree, the guru is within you. The Vipassana centers offer a nice place to do self-inquiry for those starting out and who need to gain discipline over their minds. It is hard for people to independently structure their lives for 10 days to the degree that these centers offer. Once one is receiving guidance from the inner source, the need for the external teachings and structures will decrease, and the true meaning of the Buddha's teachings will become evident.

What are the other dimensions?
The meditation which the ancient Vedas refer to and which the Buddha and others rediscovered is specific because there is no goal, nothing to achieve. It is an endless process of unfolding. Observe reality "as it is" (start with your breathing and don't miss anything, no matter how subtle). When the mind is completely still, focused solely on the content of the present moment, the physiology within you responds. The DMT experience is simply one of the phenomena of meditation, but not a goal.
I agree, it is most definitely possible to experience this connection without any plant helpers. After you have connected to the state it gets increasingly easier to get there on one's own. For any interested in darkness meditation check out Simon Buxton's work "Darkness Visible", or the yogic concept of Pratyahara or the "sealing of the senses" (a good source is Swami Satyananda's book Kundalini Tantra).

to give you visions and energy if it is being used. The flow will slow or even stop unless it is being manifested into the world in some way. The more you connect the inner world with the outer, the more the two will grow together. Reality becomes more dreamlike, dreams become more real. So my question to you is, how are you bringing these visions from the deep inner world into the outer? What are they doing for you / the world?
Re Part IV: Oh, that's awesome, "The truth of who you are does not need an answer... The truth lies not in more answers, but less questions..." That should be recited to every seeker, including me: I get lost in the search, forget to experience life and instead only want to experience more revelation. Vipassana (Buddhism), Zen Buddhism or Taosim all offer great meditation techniques which will focus the mind and help cultivate the discipline required to explore the inner world. Vipassana or "insight" means literally seeing within and is a technique that I highly recommend. All of these techniques only take you to the threshold. Once you are connected to the source then you receive guidance from within and the technique itself can become an obstacle if you cling to it.
I see comments here from 10 years ago... 5, 4, and I'm just now starting to discover and learn these things... I wish I had learned this before, but anyway, I heard someone say that this kind of knowledge only reaches you, when you're ready... Thanks for sharing!

I went through a Kundalini Awakening 4 months ago. Weirdest thing I ever felt inside me. It was like a blast of energy "and more" up through my top of my head. Changed my life. I have mastered my mind and have 100% of my memory. I always had bad memory.
It last like a month to actually open it it and you go through a period called dark night of the soul it don't happen all at once you are a schill

it might take " a month" in earth time. even thats a very bold claim. why a month ? why not 7 days or 7 weeks ( that number would at least make more sense given the idea of whats going on).
for me it was 7 very high dosed trips of acid/ketamine ( actually way more , but the last 7 were the key). but the actual time spent is immesurable. in the void, the event horizon , the other side , however you wanna call it 10 minutes can feel like and have the content of 50000 years.
it can happen in one day. but if you think ( i asume , based on your wording) that its like a traffic light, where red being asleep , yellow being your so called dark night of the soul and green being the awakened state, thats not how it works.

Mainstream religions are, atleast, mostly lies but hold some truth but are completely off on other things. What I'm about to tell you is a story about connecting, and finding yourself . It starts in a place where everyone can relate to. A place where no one can go but everyone can see.
As the boy opened his eyes, he saw light for the first time. It was so bright but somehow the picture got really clear. He saw another figure, but couldn't quite make out the shape. He didn't know why he was there or where he came from but also knew it was for a purpose. As he was lost in his train of thoughts. The figure spoke and immediately, the boy recognized the sounds. Before the boy saw light, he saw darkness but could hear the sound of the figure, and how smoothing it was. The boy trusted that the figure could answer the question he kept asking himself. "What am I?" Before the boy could even figure out how to make a sound, the voice said "speak." The boy asked "What am I?" The soothing voice said he could not answer the question, because you are “whole”, or the perfect being of light. “You are all that is good in me, therefore I can not tell you because you are not aware of the other yet, that of which is not good, together you will find the answer: What am I?” His father explained that the boy had the power to create anything he desired however the catch was that he only had one chance to create himself. This creation had to reach self-assembly, or autonomous patterns without any help from the boy. The boy was confused, as everything he thought to himself was getting him nowhere and the more questions he asked, his father would have a answer, but they spawned another question and another...and another. The father interrupted him and explained that he has all the answers to his questions within, but thinking with the “other” will eventually give you the answer to the question: "What am I?" He then explained that he will only give six clues to create himself, because his father gave him 6 clues before him. The father explained that the 6 clues will guide him in different paths, but all paths lead to answer: "What am I?" Furthermore, the boy would most likely take 30 years to complete this task, and only then will he create himself again.

I never understood spirituality and the everlasting fuss about living in the present moment, until I found that there is nothing but the present, and that it is eternal. I tried to think my way out of anxiety and depression, and didn't realize I wasn't my thoughts and that inner voice that worries me. There are still moments of anxiety when talking to people, because my nervous system kicks in and tries to save me, but I have glimpses of freedom in the present and it is liberating and so so strange to have this new outlook on earth, that I am it. I have been in therapy for years, but no therapist ever told me that I wasn't my thoughts, and that I can approach life in that way, only living in the present. Perhaps it is an obvious thing for most people, but it wasn't for me.
Tear down the illusions. Im very connected here to heal and transmute energies that come to me. My 10 year old son tells me "what we see with our eyes isnt really there" he told me we are an Angel family. They are my starseeds and that i need to believe beyond what i see. My oldest son 25 speaks of astral travelling since being a boy and my daughter is a strong psychic and clairvoyant. My husband channels. My daughter 4 believes in nothing but Angels. She tells me alot of things about Angels. She told me "Gold light is now hitting the Earth and waking up all of the Angels and there will be the love of two hearts in every house one big one small" she also said "When Maya is touched she will release all the sea angels and the regular angels to heal the Earth and wake up everyone". Id never heard of Maya. I was travelling in an elevator with her to go up to our apartment and i saw a large purple orb above my daughters head, it was there for around 5 seconds then disappeared. My daughters name is Annabella, Annabella Lee. My mind told me to look up Sea angels, so i did now look up Annabel Lee the poem. In no way did i connect my daughters name to anything on its choosing. "Child of Grace" is the meaning. Lee is mine, my great grandmothers, my mothers and my daughters' middle name. Believe in your truth. I know mine, and it adds and changes with information sychronocity etc everyday. My galactic family, My purpose, to heal as a travelling Angel travelling dimensions with no judgement on another energy or being only compassion and love and im living it every day. I dont meditate i see colours of chakras at high vibration. But im honestly not sure if the true chakra is in the colours we are told as i see different now..not clear but its coming. Im told we are existing in a lie dimension. Purge your pain knowing within you are a witness to all trauma and disasters on Earth, not an actor, not all is as it seems. Ask and connect with truth from your high self and you shall receive nothing but truth. Connect with Love and you'll see you are truly loved and a creator wasting time on rituals in everyday life. It is important that people do not approach it from fear, because it is these very fears that keep the energy from flowing. Fear-based thought, ego and clinging create suffering on the journey. Yes, there will be pain, but the suffering part is optional. It is the fear generated by the mind itself that is the greatest obstacle or "demon".

I think Paul is maybe referring to extreme yogic exercises when he talks about "playing" with kundalini and yes these can be dangerous. By bringing consciousness to the inner world through meditation, one IS purifying oneself of conditioned patterns. Purification is not something separate; the inner energy IS the very thing that is being released/ unknotted. The BALANCE of Shiva and Shakti (energy and consciousness) is what allows evolutionary forces to unfold. Both are always needed.

Kundalini is life energy, which is also sexual energy. When awareness becomes less focused on animal urges and is put into the objects reflective of the higher chakras, that energy flows up the spine into those chakras.

Yes, kundalini can be a veritable "pandora's box" if it is not awakened with consciousness. Energies can "wake up" or wreak havoc through trauma, abuse, stress or extreme sensitivity to the craziness of the world. The mental institutes are full of people whose shakti has run amok. Kundalini is simply life energy and it is not good or bad in and of itself. Each of us has a unique bloom, and when kundalini is in balance in the right conditions, the bloom will occur. Wrong conditions = problems.
